Splinterlands Comeback

After taking an extended time off, I returned to play Splinterlands and discovered that many changes have occurred in the game.

The game used to operate under a basic system which assigned value to all cards and players could easily generate profits.

The previous approach required players to purchase assets and then maintain ownership until they could sell those assets at an optimal time.

This approach has lost its effectiveness in the current environment.

The ranked battle which I played exists in the above screenshot. I discovered that expensive cards in the game between two players do not have much value. Your battle plan represents your most important asset.

The game required me to select an Earth lineup which would provide me with equal power and defense capabilities.

The first two rounds showed decent results but Round 3 proved that team placement and synergy between members of the team represented the most critical factors.

Each action which players perform throughout the game will determine the outcome of the battle.

At that moment, I experienced my strongest realization.

The current version of Splinterlands provides rewards to players who demonstrate knowledge of: • Counter with elements • Position every card just right • Build teams that work together Players must develop their collection beyond its current strength.

I found the Campaign mode to be the main reason which brought me back to the game.

The game offers a gentle introduction to players who want to regain their skills after a break or who want to learn the game for the first time.

The experience becomes enjoyable when I face challenges which force me to acquire new skills based on my actual performance in matches.

I made a major error by choosing to play without a healer which resulted in my defeat because I needed the healer to support my Earth team.
