It's been 3 days since I've published a post on my beloved Hive because during the Christmas holidays I dedicated all my time to my daughter Chiara and my family.
Today is December 27th and I'm resuming my publishing activity with a post inherent to my favorite blockchain-based game: Splinterlands.

On Splinterlands, the Phase 2 sale of Chaos Legion card packs is underway.
Phase 2 of the sale will end in just over 16 days.

In the image below you can see all the details of Phase 2 summarized in tabular form.

To date, 1542541 packs of Chaos Legion cards have been sold (including bonus packs).

Four days ago @splinterlands published a post in which it revealed the cards that will be distributed in the next two airdrops: airdrop #2 and airdrop #3 (following image)

The cards that will be distributed in the next two airdrops can only be received by the participants in phase 2 of the Chaos Legion sale and are two legendary cards:

  • Baakjira (Water element)
  • Uriel the Purifier (Life element)

Baakjira and Uriel the Purifier are two legendary cards that I really like and they are also two very useful cards in battle because they have definitely above average battle statistics.
Baakjira and Uriel the Purifier also have ** two strengths in common **:

  • many life points:
  • Baakjira: 11 life points (level 1) - 16 life points (level 4)
  • Uriel the Purifier: 10 life points + 6 armor points (level 1) - 12 life points + 6 armor points (level 4)
  • The Heal ability
  • Baakjira: from level 3 (combination of 6 cards of level 1)
  • Uriel the Purifier: from level 2 (combination of 3 level 1 cards)

The Baakjira and Uriel the Purifier cards are the most valuable rewards and incentives for those who participate in the Chaos Legion Phase 2 sale.

Those who participate in Phase 2 sales and buy a pack of Chaos Legion cards will have:

  • 0.33% chance of receiving a level 1 Baakjira card for every pack of cards purchased
  • 0.33% chance of receiving a level 1 Uriel the Purifier card for each pack of cards purchased

Those who buy 300 packs of Chaos Legion cards during Phase 2 will be guaranteed to receive 1 Baakjira card + 1 Uriel the Purifier card.

In addition, 1 out of every 25 airdropped cards will be a Gold version card.

My personal goal related to Chaos Legion card packs is the purchase of 1000 card packs.
If there were no VOUCHER tokens I would have participated in the presale and reached my goal long ago.
Now that I know the characteristics of the cards of the next two airdrops I have all the elements to be able to make financial evaluations and then it is time for me to consider whether to participate in phase 2 of the sale or wait for the General Sale to buy packs of Chaos Legion cards.

In this post I want to share with my dear readers my personal evaluations and considerations.

The first important element to consider when deciding whether or not to participate in Phase 2 is the effective cost of a pack of Chaos Legion cards.

The effective cost of a Chaos Legion card pack is the result of the following sum:

Purchase cost of 1 Chaos Legion card pack + Purchase cost of 1 VOUCHER token.

Today, December 27, the value of 1 VOUCHER token is:

  • 1.55 SWAP.HIVE (Highest BID).
  • 1.589 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask)

Based on the current value of VOUCHER tokens, buying a pack of Chaos Legion cards today has an effective cost of $6.99

If I bought 300 packs of cards I would spend a total of $2092.1 and get:

  • 330 packs of Chaos Legion cards (300 + 30 bonus)
  • 1 Baakjira card guaranteed
  • 1 Uriel the Purifier card guaranteed.

The total cost to be incurred today to be guaranteed to receive the two legendary cards from the next airdrop is just the current value of 300 VOUCHER tokens: 896.1$

The market value that will have the cards Baakjira and Uriel the Purifier is not possible to know with certainty but it is possible to make hypothesis and predictions.

If today I buy 300 packs of Chaos Legion cards, I will make a profit only if the two cards I receive from the airdrop have a market value of more than 896.1$.

The Baakjira level 1 card will have a market value of at least $450?
Level 1 Uriel the Purifier card will have a market value of $450?

Looking at the value of the legendary cards from the Untamed, Dice and Chaos Legion collections that are currently for sale on the market I think the answer to the previous two questions will most likely be negative.

The only level 1 cards that have a value over $450 are:

  • Scarred Llama Mage: $529
  • Bizantyne Kitty: $650
  • Yodin Zaku: 700$

I really like the Baakjira and Uriel the Purifier cards but I don't think they can be worth more than $450 when they go on sale in the market.

The value of VOUCHER tokens has always been freely determined by the market and not by Splinterlands.
The great thing about a game like Splinterlands is that the buying strategies can be multiple because the assets of the game are multiple and there are many Splinterlands players.

My strategic choice may turn out to be wrong but I like to rely on my personal calculations and evaluations.
I considered the value of VOUCHER tokens too high during the pre-sale and I still consider it high today.
Therefore, I will continue to sell the VOUCHER tokens I receive daily until the value of the VOUCHER tokens is higher than the $1 value.

In addition selling VOUCHER tokens on Hive Engine/TribalDex allows me to receive in exchange SWAP.HIVE tokens whose value is increasing and may continue to increase because on January 6 there will be two airdrops for HIVE token holders.

For the reasons stated above my buying strategy for now is to skip Phase 2 and wait for the General Sale.

Sono 3 giorni che non pubblico post sulla mia amata Hive perchè nelle festività Natalizie ho dedicato tutto il mio tempo a mia figlia Chiara e alla mia famiglia.
Oggi è il 27 dicembre e riprendo a pubblicare con un post inerente al mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito: Splinterlands.

Su Splinterlands è in corso la Fase 2 della vendita dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion.
La Fase 2 di vendita terminerà tra poco più di 16 giorni.

Le carte che saranno distribuite nei due prossimi airdrop potranno riceverle solo i partecipanti alla fase 2 di vendita Chaos Legion e sono due carte leggendarie:

  • Baakjira (elemento Water)
  • Uriel the Purifier (elemento Life)

Baakjira e Uriel the Purifier sono due carte leggendarie che mi piacciono molto e sono anche due carte molto utili in battaglia perchè hanno statistiche di battaglia decisamente sopra la media.
Baakjira e Uriel the Purifier hanno anche due punti di forza in comune:

  • tanti punti vita:
    • Baakjira: 11 punti vita (livello 1) - 16 punti vita (livello 4)
    • Uriel the Purifier: 10 punti vita + 6 punti armatura (livello 1) - 12 punti vita + 6 punti armatura (livello 4)

Il mio personale obbiettivo relativo ai pacchi di carte Chaos Legion è l'acquisto di 1000 pacchi di carte.
Se non ci fossero stati i token VOUCHER avrei partecipato alla presale e avrei raggiunto il mio obiettivo già da tempo.
Adesso che conosco le caratteristiche delle carte dei due prossimi airdrop ho tutti gli elementi per poter fare delle valutazioni finanziarie e quindi è arrivato il momento per me di valutare se partecipare alla fase 2 di vendita o aspettare la General Sale per acquistare i pacchi di carte Chaos Legion.

In questo post voglio condividere con i miei cari lettori le mie personali valutazioni e considerazioni.

Il primo elemento importante da considerare per decidere se partecipare o meno alla fase 2 è il costo effettivo di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion.

Il costo effettivo di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion è il risultato della seguente somma:

Costo di acquisto di 1 pacco di carte Chaos Legion + Costo di acquisto di 1 token VOUCHER

Oggi 27 dicembre il valore di 1 token VOUCHER è di:

  • 1.55 SWAP.HIVE (Highest BID)
  • 1.589 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask)

In base al valore attuale dei token VOUCHER, comprare oggi un pacco di carte Chaos Legion ha un costo effettivo di 6.99$

Se comprassi 300 pacchi di carte spenderei in totale 2092.1$ e otterrei:

  • 330 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion (300 + 30 bonus)
  • 1 carta Baakjira garantita
  • 1 carta Uriel the Purifier garantita

Il costo totale da sostenere oggi per avere la garanzia di ricevere le due carte leggendarie dal prossimo airdrop è proprio il valore attuale di 300 token VOUCHER: 896.1$

Il valore di mercato che avranno le carte Baakjira e Uriel the Purifier non è possibile conoscerlo con certezza ma è possibile fare delle ipotesi e delle previsioni.

Se oggi acquisto 300 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion otterrò un profitto solo se le due carte che riceverò dall'airdrop avranno un valore di mercato superiore a 896.1$.

La carta Baakjira di livello 1 avrà un valore di mercato di almeno 450$?
La carta Uriel the Purifier di livello 1 avrà un valore di mercato di 450$?

Guardando il valore delle carte leggendarie delle collezioni Untamed, Dice e Chaos Legion che sono in questo momento in vendita sul mercato penso che la risposta alle due precedenti domande sarà con molta probabilità negativa.

Le uniche carte di livello 1 che hanno un valore superiore a 450$ sono:

  • Scarred Llama Mage: 529$
  • Bizantyne Kitty: 650$
  • Yodin Zaku: 700$

Le carte Baakjira e Uriel the Purifier mi piacciono molto ma non penso possano avere un valore superiore a 450$ quando saranno messe in vendita sul mercato.

Il valore dei token VOUCHER è sempre stato stabilito liberamente dal mercato e non da Splinterlands.
Il bello di un gioco come Splinterlands è che le strategie di acquisto possono essere molteplici perchè gli assets del gioco sono molteplici come sono tanti i giocatori di Splinterlands.

La mia scelta strategica potrà rivelarsi sbagliata ma mi piace affidarmi ai miei calcoli e alle mie personali valutazioni.
Ho ritenuto il valore dei token VOUCHER troppo alto durante la prevendita e lo considero alto ancora oggi.
Per questo motivo continuerò a vendere i token VOUCHER che riceverò giornalmente fino a che il valore dei token VOUCHER sarà superiore al valore di 1 dollaro.

Inoltre vendere i token VOUCHER su Hive Engine/TribalDex permette di ricevere in cambio i token SWAP.HIVE il cui valore è in crescita e potrebbe continuare ad aumentare perchè il 6 gennaio ci saranno due airdrop per i possessori di token HIVE.

Per i motivi sopra esposti la mia strategia di acquisto è per il momento di saltare la Fase 2 e di aspettare la General Sale.

Ovviamente le mie sono solo personali valutazioni e non sono consigli finanziari.

no question is stupid so always feel free to ask me any question you want ;)
On January 13, 2022 the general sale will begin and vouchers will no longer be needed to purchase a pack of cards but will still be needed to get bonuses for multiple purchases.
For example if you buy 100 packs of cards during the general sale you must have 10 VOUCHER tokens to get the 10 packs of bonuses otherwise you will receive only the 100 packs of cards.

Those two new legendary cards look really strong but I fully agree with you assessment. If I had the choice I'd want multiple card packs over two legendary cards, no matter how awesome those two are.

I would love to participate more then I do but in order for me to use my vouchers I need to use my tokens and I do not have a lot. I may use what vouchers I can and sell the rest.

For me the token vouchers have a price too much and for this I have chosen to sell them all but every strategy is personal and therefore also yours (keep a part and sell another one) could be right but I think only in the medium-long term ;)

Le tue analisi sono sempre molto interessanti e ora mi è chiaro anche come mai il prezzo di Hive è in salita.

Purtroppo rimane il fatto che splinterland presenta delle barriere all’ingresso alte per chi si approccia ora.
Spero che con il tempo possano ricredersi e apportare modifiche per permettere a tuti di giocare anche nelle leghe più basse.

Condivido il tuo discorso sulle barriere di ingresso ma queste barriere sono almeno per Splinterlands più psicologiche che reali e ti spiego il motivo.
Ho provato diversi giochi e Splinterlands rimane il gioco in assoluto che ha il ritorno quasi immediato dell'investimento iniziale ma a patto che si usino tutte le possibilità di guadagno offerte da Splinterlands.
Splinterlands ha Hive come blockchain e ha soprattutto tanti HP e il nuovo giocatore che si iscrive e partecipa ai contest recupera il costo di iscrizione in una settimana con il valore di HIVE attuale.
Poi può decidere di investire tutto o in parte il guadagno dai post per superare lo scoglio della lega Silver III e anche in questo caso lo scoglio lo si supera abbastanza presto.
Poi ovviamente sta al giocatore decidere se giocare soltanto oppure postare su Hive e guadagnare tanti token ;)

Probabilmente hai ragione. Se io reinvestissi quello che guadagno su HIve in carte per splinterlands, probabilmente avrei maggiori possibilità di crescita. Il problema allora sono io che in quel gioco sono una acchiappa e non so come superare silver 3 garantendomi anche di riuscire a fare la daily.

Diciamo che dovrei vedere la tua collezione di carte per capire il motivo, ma penso che con 200$ di investimento adesso che le carte costano meno e magari con dei noleggi mirati alla fine della stagione si potrebbero raggiungere buoni risultati...sai volevo fare un nuovo esperimento nel partire da zero con un investimento iniziale di 20-30 dollari per vedere in quanto tempo avrei recuperato l'investimento iniziale solo giocando e utilizzando il noleggio...ma è il tempo che mi manca ma sarebbe una cosa che mi piacerebbe fare perchè sarebbe anche un tutorial live :)

Penso sarebbe una grande idea e con un buon seguito di pubblico.
Vero che le carte sono calate ora, ma i noleggi costano e non poco e bisogna giocare tanto secondo me per portarsi almeno in pari.
Forse dovrei cercare un bravo master che mi aiuti a scegliere qualche carta buona da iniziare ad usare almeno per fare la daily.

Condivido in pieno le tue considerazioni. Anche senza i conti fatti in maniera precisa come li hai riportati se stessi ancora giocando avrei fatto la tua stessa scelta. Infatti anch0io sto continuando a vendere il 100% dei voucher ricevuti. Vendo anche il 50% esatto di SPS che ricevo giornalmente. Dal ricavato al 50% compro DEC per comprare carte, mentre il resto lo monetizzo in Hive.

L'aspettativa creata dai giocatori è stata davvero troppo alta per questa emissione ed i prezzi attuali lo dimostrano: ci vorranno mesi prima che possano recuperare i livelli passati, sempre che nel frattempo non incorrano novità stravolgenti in un verso o nell'altro.

Penso che la prossima tornata di incremento di valore la si possa avere con l'introduzione delle land

on January 6 there will be two airdrops, HIVE and HP token holders will receive tokens from the spknetwork project (3speak) and will receive NFTs from a new game.
If you have HIVE tokens i suggest not to sell them ;)

Yes the SPS tokens are in free fall but I continue to accumulate them because when the Land will be introduced they could be very useful and then they could increase in value again (at least I hope so) ;)

I have bought 31 packs so far (which is quite a lot for me personally), so my chances for the airdrop cards are quite small. But maybe I'll get lucky. I am not sure whether I should buy more packs right now because I really want to open more packs but I think it would be smarter to wait for the next phase and buy them without VOUCHER tokens.

Interessante… i tuoi calcoli non sbagliano mai.. nella lrima occasione ho applicato una strategia mista. 50% token voucher usato per comprare pacchetti, l’altro per trasformarli in HIVE. In questa seconda occasione vedró il da farsi, mi aspetto di ottenere più token voucher della prima volta. Domanda: che ne pensi di comprare ira qualche carta della Chaos Legion del valore di 0,06$? Alcune costano veramente poco, io sarei tentato ad acquistarle.

Io aspetterei perchè quando sarà aperta la general sale potrebbe esserci una inondazione di carte Chaos Legion sul mercato e i prezzi potrebbero anche calare ancora per alcune carte
Meglio scegliere occasioni su carte delle collezioni passate...ovviamente è solo la mia opinione e come spesso succede nel mondo crypto potrei essere smentito ;)
