Today is 24 June 2023 and the "Age Of The Phoenix" development phase is underway on Splinterlands. This phase will end on 1 August 2023 and will introduce many changes in the game dynamics and also in the investment dynamics because there could be many effects on Splinterlands assets (NFTs and tokens).
10 days ago I published a post in which I tried to identify some possible effects that the development phase "Age Of The Phoenix" could produce.

The start of the Lands phase 1.5 will certainly be the most impactful novelty as it will expand the game dynamics and all lands-related assets will acquire new use cases.
Since I became a Splinterlands player (18 October 2019) I have always enjoyed
- playing Splinterlands battles
- posting Splinterlands-related content on my Hive blog
Just under four years after my first battle play Splinterlands is still my favourite blockchain based game and I continue to have growth goals related to certain assets such as SPS tokens (my goal is 100K SPS staked) and I continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection.
There is one phase of development that I await with great excitement: the introduction of anti-bots measures in Modern Format.
It's only my personal opinion but I consider this phase crucial for the future of Splinterlands because the proliferation of bots:
- has turned Splinterlands into a potential farming game while Splinterlands is a fun NFT-based strategy game
- has ruined the reputation of Splinterlands which is often associated with the term "Full Bots Game" which is a term that alienates new players
- has created discontent among real players who do not want to play against bots that have become very strong and efficient
The pillars of any game are the real players who enjoy playing it!
I belong to this category of players and when the anti-bots measures are introduced in Modern Format I will only and exclusively play in this format.
I currently play in the Ranked Battles of the Wild Format but ever since the anti-bots proposal was approved I have been preparing for the move from the Wild Format to the Modern Format by selling the less useful battle cards of the Beta edition and buying/upgrading the cards of the editions playable in the Modern Format (Untamed, Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers).
In many of my previous posts I have shared my purchase/upgrade choices to increase the battle strength of my card collection.
My next gaming goal will be to play stably in the Diamond leagues of Modern Format from day one of the Splinterlands seasons.
To achieve this goal, I will have to try to finish the seasons at least in the Diamond I league and then start the following season at least in the Diamond III league.
I have decided to switch to the ranked battles of the Modern Format starting already next season in order to be ready when the bots will be just a memory in the Modern Format and therefore I will make this switch in a little more than 5 days.
When I switch to Modern Format I will have to start from the BRONZE I league and try to move up to the higher leagues as quickly as possible.
In the Wild Format I play regularly in the Gold leagues and sometimes I also manage to get into the Diamond III league but only during the last days of the season.
In fact when there are less than 6 days left until the end of the season I am in the Gold II league of the Wild Format and I have a rating of 2317 points.
In the Modern Format I won't be able to use many cards in battle that I use today such as Daria Dragonscale, Delwin Dragonscale, Ruler of the seas, Diamond Dragon but I will only be able to play with real players (I'm really happy about this) and I should probably also receive a larger amount of rewards than today but only when the anti-bots measures are introduced because the reward pool will most likely be divided between a much smaller number of players.
To reach the Diamond+ leagues of the Modern Format I will need to have a good win rate in the Gold+ leagues and so I will need as a first step to build up a collection of cards that can play well in the Gold+ leagues of the Modern Format.
Each Splinterlands league has a Cap regarding the max level of cards that can be used.
If I want to reach my game goal, I have to focus on cards that have the following levels:
- Common: level 8+
- Rare: level 6+.
- Epic: level 5+
- Legendary: level 3+
In the following images you can see the level 8+ common cards I have in my collection that I will be able to use in Modern Format ranked battles.

I don't know if the cards I have and I've shown you will already be enough to get into Modern Format's Diamond Leagues, but I continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection.
4 days ago I put many cards from the Beta edition up for sale and increased the amount of DEC available to me to make other card purchases/upgrades (https://peakmonsters.com/@libertycrypto27/history).
The card I sold for the highest price was Fire Spitter Gold Foil level 3 from which I received 165683.72 DEC.
My main upgrade goals are always:
- Oshuur Constantia of level 3.
- Vruz of level 8
I placed buy bids for Oshuur Constantia and Vruz more than 9 days ago but none of my buy bids have been accepted until today, which is why I raised my buy bids again today by outbidding my higher buy bids.
I consider Oshuur Constantia and Vruz to be very useful cards in battle mainly because they are very versatile because they play well in many rulesets and in combination with many of my cards.
I hope to add these two cards to my card collection soon.
Today I also continued to increase the level of my usable cards in Modern Format and focused on summoner type cards.
The summoner cards in my collection that have a level that allows me to use top level cards in Gold leagues are:
- Lorna Shine level 7.
- Byzantine Kitty level 3.
- Kelya Frendul level 8 (max)
- Obsidian level 8 (max)
- Tarsa level 8 (max)
- Quix the Devious level 4 (max)
- Grandmaster Rathe level 4 (max)
The summoner card I use the most is Byzantine Kitty which is in my opinion the strongest and most versatile summoner of all Splinterlands summoners and is also the most valuable card I have in my collection.
The summoner cards are very important and some summoners are particularly useful when a battle has a certain battle rule.
For example, the Bringhton Bloom summoner is particularly useful when the game battle has the Earthquake ruleset and is often my first choice in this case.
In my collection I have Bringhton Bloom of level 5 (41 BCX) and today I decided to buy another 19 BCX to upgrade to level 6 which will be much more useful than level 5 in Gold leagues.
Buying 19 BCX right away would cost me $50,759 ($2,672 per BCX).
I decided to try and save some money and placed a Buy Bid via the Make Bid feature available at Peakmonsters.
The only element for which I have no maximum level summoners is the Death element.
I'd like to level up all three summoners I showed you above but it's not my priority goal at the moment so today I took a first step by taking Thaddius Brood from level 5 to level 6.
Even though I only needed 9 BCX I bought 25 BCX because I found a better price for buying level 4 Thaddius Brood and then I will have to buy less BCX when I upgrade to level 7.
I also made this purchase today because the price for BCX and the Low Buy Price of Thaddius Brood are the lowest prices recorded in a 180-day time frame.
I used the https://monstermarket.io/ marketplace to make this purchase.
I spent 16503.73 DEC but received a cashback of 495.11 DEC.

L'ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte in preparazione del mio prossimo passaggio nel Modern Format
Oggi è il 24 giugno 2023 e su Splinterlands è in corso la fase di sviluppo "Age Of The Phoenix" che terminerà il 1 Agosto 2023 e introdurrà tanti cambiamenti nelle dinamche di gioco e anche nelle dinamiche di investimento perchè potrebbero essere molti gli effetti sugli assets di Splinterlands (NFTs e tokens).
10 giorni fa ho pubblicato un post in cui ho cercato di individuare alcuni possibili effetti che la fase di sviluppo "Age Of The Phoenix" potrebbe produrre.

L'inizio della fase 1.5 delle Lands sarà certamente la novità ad impatto maggiore perchè amplierà le dinamiche di gioco e tutti gli assets collegati alle lands acquisiranno nuovi casi d'uso.
Da quando sono diventato un giocatore di Splinterlands (18 ottobre 2019) mi sono sempre divertito:
- a giocare le battaglie di Splinterlands
- a pubblicare contenuti relativi a Splinterlands sul mio Hive blog
Dopo poco meno di quattro anni dalla mia prima battaglia di gioco Splinterlands è ancora il mio gioco basato su blockchain e continuo ad avere obiettivi di crescita relativi ad alcuni assets come ad esempio i token SPS (obiettivo 100K SPS staked) e continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte.
C'è una fase di sviluppo che attendo con molta eccitazione: l'introduzione delle misure anti-bots nel Modern Format.
E' solo la mia personale opinione ma considero questa fase cruciale per il futuro di Splinterlands perchè il proliferare dei bots:
- ha trasformato Splinterlands in un potenziale farming game mentre Splinterlands è un divertente gioco strategico basato su NFT
- ha rovinato la reputazione di Splinterlands che è spesso associato al termine "Full Bots Game" che è un termine che allontana i nuovi giocatori
- ha creato malcontento tra i giocatori reali che non vogliono giocare contro bots che sono diventati molto forti ed efficienti
I pilastri di qualsiasi gioco sono costituiti dai giocatori reali che si divertono a giocare.
Io appartengo a questa categoria di giocatori e quando le misure anti-bots saranno introdotte nel Modern Format giocherò solo ed esclusivamente in questo formato.
Al momento gioco nelle Ranked Battles del Wild Format ma fin dal momento in cui la proposta anti-bots è stata approvata ho iniziato a prepararmi al passaggio dal Wild Format al Modern Format vendendo le carte poco utili in battaglia dell' edizione Beta e acquistando/potenziando le carte delle edizioni giocabili nel Modern Format (Untamed, Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers).
In molti miei precedenti posts ho condiviso le mie scelte di acquisto/upgrade per aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte.
Il mio prossimo obiettivo di gioco sarà quello di giocare stabilmente nelle leghe Diamond del Modern Format fin dal primo giorno delle stagioni di Splinterlands.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo dovrò cercare di terminare le stagioni almeno nella lega Diamond I per poi ripartire nella stagione successiva almeno dalla lega Diamond III.
Ho deciso di passare nelle ranked battles del Modern Format già a partire dalla prossima stagione per trovarmi pronto quando i bots saranno solo un ricordo nel Modern Format e quindi effettueerò questo passaggio tra poco più di 5 giorni.
Quando passerò nel Modern Format dovrò partire dalla lega BRONZE I e cercare di salire nelle leghe superiori il più velocemente possibile.
Nel Wild Format gioco stabilmente nelle leghe Gold e qualche volta riesco ad arrivare anche nella lega Diamond III ma solo durante gli ultimi giorni della stagione.
Infatti quando mancano meno di 6 giorni alla fine della stagione sono nella lega Gold II del Wild Format e ho un punteggio di rating di 2317 punti.
Nel Modern Format non potrò utilizzare in battaglia molte carte che utilizzo oggi come ad esempio Daria Dragonscale, Delwin Dragonscale, Ruler of the seas, Diamond Dragon ma potrò giocare solo con giocatori reali e dovrei probabilmente ricevere anche un quantitativo di ricompense maggiore rispetto ad oggi ma solo quando le misure anti-bots saranno introdotte perchè la reward pool sarà con molta probabilità divisa tra un numero molto minore di giocatori.
Per arrivare nelle leghe Diamond+ del Modern Format dovrò avere un buon win rate nelle leghe Gold+ e quindi dovrò come primo step costruirmi una collezione di carte in grado di giocare bene nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format.
Ogni lega di Splinterlands ha un Cap per quanto riguarda il livello delle carte utilizzabili.
Se voglio raggiungere il mio obiettivo di gioco mi devo focalizzare sulle carte che hanno i seguenti livelli:
- Comuni: level 8+
- Rare: level 6+
- Epic: level 5+
- Legendary: level 3+

Non so se le carte che ti ho mostrato saranno già sufficienti per entrare nelle leghe Diamond del Modern Format ma io continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte.
4 giorni fa ho messo in vendita molte carte dell'edizione Beta e ho aumentato il quantitativo di DEC a mia disposizione per effettuare altri acquisti/upgrade di carte (https://peakmonsters.com/@libertycrypto27/history).
La carta che ho venduto al prezzo più alto è stata Fire Spitter Gold Foil level 3 da cui ho ricevuto 165683.72 DEC
I miei due obiettivi di upgrade principali sono sempre:
- Oshuur Constantia di livello 3
- Vruz di livello 8
Ho piazzato delle offerte di acquisto per Oshuur Constantia e Vruz più di 9 giorni fa ma nessuna delle mie offerte di acquisto è stata accettata fino ad oggi e per questo motivo oggi ho alzato nmuovamente le mie offerte di acquisto superando le offerte di acquisto più alte delle mie.
Considero Oshuur Constantia e Vruz delle carte molto utili in battaglia soprattutto perchè sono molto versatili perchè giocano bene in molte rulesets e in combinazione con molte mie carte.
Spero di aggiungere presto queste due carte alla mia collezione di carte.
Oggi ho anche continuato ad aumentare il livello delle mie carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format e mi sono focalizzato sulle carte di tipo evocatore.
Le carte evocatore della mia collezione che hanno un livello tale da permettermi di utilizzare carte di massimo livello nelle leghe Gold sono:
- Lorna Shine level 7
- Byzantine Kitty level 3
- Kelya Frendul level 8 (max)
- Obsidian level 8 (max)
- Tarsa level 8 (max)
- Quix the Devious level 4 (max)
- Grandmaster Rathe level 4 (max)
La carta evocatore che uso di più è Byzantine Kitty che è secondo me l'evocatore più forte e versatile tra tutti gli evocatori di Splinterlands ed è anche la carta di maggior valore che ho nella mia collezione.
Le carte evocatore sono molto importanti e alcuni evocatori sono particolarmente utili quando una battaglia ha una determinata regola di battaglia.
Ad esempio l'evocatore Bringhton Bloom è particolarmente utile quando la battaglia di gioco ha la ruleset Earthquake ed è spesso la mia prima scelta in questo caso.
Nella mia collezione ho Bringhton Bloom di livello 5 (41 BCX) e oggi ho deciso di acquistare altri 19 BCX per fare l'upgrade al livello 6 che mi sarà molto più utile del livello 5 nelle leghe Gold.
Acquistare subito 19 BCX mi costerebbe 50.759$ (2.672$ per BCX).
Ho deciso di provare a risparmiare qualcosa e ho piazzato un'offerta di acquisto tramite la funzionalità Make Bid utilizzabile su Peakmonsters.
L'unico elemento per il quale non ho evocatori di massimo livello è l'elemento Morte.
Mi piacerebbe portare al livello massimo tutti e tre gli evocatori che ti ho mostrato prima ma non è il mio obiettivo prioritario al momento e quindi oggi ho fatto un primo passo portando Thaddius Brood dal livello 5 al livello 6.
Anche se mi servivano solo 9 BCX ho acquistato 25 BCX perchè ho trovato un prezzo migliore per l'acquisto di Thaddius Brood di livello 4 e poi dovrò acquistare meno BCX quando farò l'upgrade al livello 7.
Ho fatto questo acquisto oggi anche perchè il prezzo per BCX e il prezzo Low Buy di Thaddius Brood sono i prezzi più bassi registrati in un intervallo di tempo di 180 giorni.

It looks like you have got quite a bit of DEC to spend to increase your modern deck. I don't think I see Oshuur Constantia very often in modern at all. Is it one of the newer promo cards? I didn't even realize it was there.
Yes Oshuur Costantia is a promo card and is a very useful card in battle because it is the only card in Modern that has the abilities Reflection Shield, Heal and Resurrect together!

Con le carte che già hai riuscirai sicuramente a raggiungere la Lega Diamante nel formato Modern, a meno che a seguito dell'eliminazione dei bot la difficoltà generale del matchmaking non salga drasticamente... ma te hai diverse carte davvero forti e poco comuni, per cui sono convinto che, anche in quel caso, arriverai a Diamante ogni stagione.
