On April 4, 2023, the phase 1.0 of The Secret of Praetoria, the land expansion of Splinterlands, began, and when phase 1.5 begins, the game dynamics on Splinterlands will expand and cards will acquire a new use case because they will be indispensable for plots production.

I have 3 common plots with the following land type:

• Forest
• Hills
• Plains

Based on the bonuses and penalties shown in the table below in phase 1.5 I should try to use:

• 5 cards of the element Life or Earth in my plot with Forest terrain.
• 5 cards of the Life or Dragon element in my plot with Hills terrain.
• 5 cards of the element Life or Dragon in my plot with Plains terrain.

This is why the Life, Earth and Dragon element cards have already gained additional importance for me in addition to their usefulness in battle.

I will share my purchase/upgrade choices on the cards to be used in my plots in my next post while in today's post I will resume sharing the activity of optimizing my card collection which consists of:

• selling cards that I do not use in battle
• buying cards that I consider useful in battle taking into consideration the market price and taking into consideration the summoner cards I have in my collection.

Today while looking at my card collection on Peakmonsters I decided to focus on cards that have a cost in mana equal to 0.

In my collection I have:

• 1 Furious Chicken of level 3 (Gold Foil).
• 2 Furious Chicken of level 3 (Regular Foil)
• 9 Furious Chicken of level 1 (Regular Foil)
• 2 Corpse Fiend of level 1 (Regular Foil)
• 2 Fungus Fiend of level 1 (Regular Foil)
• 7 Torrent Fiend of level 1 (Regular Foil)
• 3 Scorch Fiend by level 1 (Regular Foil)
• 4 Soul Fiend of level 1 (Regular Foil)

Cards that have a mana cost equal to 0 are very useful cards especially in battles with little mana available and are generally used to protect other cards that have better battle statistics from a first attack.

Except Furious Chicken which is part of the Reward (Beta) edition all other cards are part of the Chaos Legion edition.
All 0 mana cards have a melee attack and can only attack from the first position except in the case of battles that have rulesets that change this behavior such as Super Sneak or Equal opportunity.

Among the 0 mana cards I have in my collection is Furious Chicken Gold Foil the card I use the most in battle because it grants me a bonus on SPS gain (+10%) for every battle won.

All the other 0 mana cards I use sporadically and only in special and infrequent circumstances.

In fact, if I keep all my 0 mana cards at the current level I would continue to use Furious Chicken almost all the time whenever in a battle I have used all available mana and have a free slot and would only very rarely use the other 0 mana cards.

In this situation I have 2 possibilities:

• I continue to use Furious Chicken and keep the other cards unused or make them available for hire
• I choose a 0 mana card to upgrade to the maximum level, keep 1 BCX for every 0 mana card of the Chaos Legion edition, and sell all other BCXs. With the proceeds I purchase BCXs to upgrade the 0 mana card I chose to upgrade.

Today I chose the second option and as an upgrade goal I chose Scorch Fiend.

I chose to upgrade Scorch Fiend to the highest level for the following reasons:

• Scorch Fiend is the only card costing 0 mana of the Chaos Legion edition that acquires 2 attack points (starting at level 3).

• Scorch Fiend at maximum level acquires the Demoralize ability which is an excellent and useful ability in case the opponent uses many cards with melee attack or when the battle ruleset is UP CLOSE & PERSONAL

• Scorch Fiend level 4 would play very well in combination with two of my summoners:
  • Daria Dragonscale
  • Tarsa

If I sell all BCX greater than 1 of my 0 mana cards from the Chaos Legion edition at the Low Buy price I will get a profit of 64.5370$

To upgrade Scorch Fiend to the maximum level I need to buy 8 BCX whose total market value is 33.33$

If I can complete all the buying and selling transactions I have shown in this post I will have gained two advantages over today:

• I will have added to my card collection a card:
  • much more useful in battle than the initial level
  • particularly useful in Low mana battles that have precise rulesets such as UP CLOSE & PERSONAL.
• I will have a surplus of $31.20 that I can use to purchase other cards useful in battle and increase the battle strength of my card collection even more.

Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain-based game, I enjoy playing battles and I like to optimize my card collection to increase the number of useful battle cards at my disposal.

If I can add level 4 Scorch Fiend to my card collection I will have taken another small step toward my current gaming goal: to play in Diamond leagues from day one of the season!

Ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte: Focus sulle carte che costano 0 mana

Il 4 aprile 2023 è iniziata la fase 1.0 di The Secret of Praetoria, l'espansione land di Splinterlands e quando inizierà la fase 1.5 le dinamiche di gioco su Splinterlands si amplieranno e le carte acquisiranno un nuovo caso d'uso perchè saranno indispensabili per la produzione dei plots.

Io ho 3 plots comuni con la seguente tipologia di terreno:

• Forest
• Hills
• Plains

In base ai bonus e alle penalità indicate nella tabella seguente nella fase 1.5 dovrò cercare di utilizzare:

• 5 carte dell'elemento Life o Earth nel mio plot con terreno Forest
• 5 carte dell'elemento Life o Dragon nel mio plot con terreno Hills
• 5 carte dell'elemento Life o Dragon nel mio plot con terreno Plains

Ecco perchè le carte degli elementi Life, Earth e Dragon hanno già acquistato per me un'importanza aggiuntiva oltre alla loro utilità in battaglia.

Condividerò le mie scelte di acquisto/upgrade sulle carte da utilizzare nei miei plots in un mio prossimo post mentre nel post di oggi riprendo a condividere l'attività di ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte che consiste nel:

• vendere carte che non uso in battaglia
• acquistare carte che considero utili in battaglia tenendo conto del prezzo di mercato e tenendo conto delle carte evocatore che ho nella mia collezione.

Oggi mentre guardavo la mia collezione di carte su Peakmonsters ho deciso di focalizzarmi sulle carte che hanno un costo in mana uguale a 0.

Nella mia collezione ho:

• 1 Furious Chicken di livello 3 (Gold Foil)
• 2 Furious Chicken di livello 3 (Regular Foil)
• 9 Furious Chicken di livello 1 (Regular Foil)
• 2 Corpse Fiend di livello 1 (Regular Foil)
• 2 Fungus Fiend di livello 1 (Regular Foil)
• 7 Torrent Fiend di livello 1 (Regular Foil)
• 3 Scorch Fiend di livello 1 (Regular Foil)
• 4 Soul Fiend di livello 1 (Regular Foil)

Le carte che hanno un costo in mana uguale a 0 sono carte molto utili soprattutto nelle battaglie con pochi mana disponibili e sono generalmente utilizzate per proteggere da un primo attacco le altre carte che hanno statistiche di battaglia migliori.

Tranne Furious Chicken che appartiene all'edizione Reward (Beta) tutte le altre carte appartengono all'edizione Chaos Legion.
Tutte le 0 mana cards hanno un attacco da mischia e possono attaccare solo dalla prima posizione tranne nel caso di battaglie che hanno rulesets che modificano questo comportamento come ad esempio Super Sneak o Equal opportunity.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le cinque 0 mana cards dell'edizione Chaos Legion con l'indicazione del livello massimo utilizzabile in ogni lega (fonte: https://www.splintercards.com/tool-cards-league-cap.html)

Tra le 0 mana cards che ho nella mia collezione è Furious Chicken Gold Foil la carta che uso di più in battaglia perchè mi garantisce un bonus sul guadagno in SPS (+10%) per ogni battaglia vinta.

Tutte le altre 0 mana cards le uso sporadicamente e solo in particolari e poco frequenti circostanze.

Le 0 mana cards che ho nella mia collezione e che uso poco sono un valido esempio di possibile ottimizzazione.

Infatti se mantengo tutte le mie 0 mana cards al livello attuale continuerei ad usare quasi sempre Furious Chicken ogni volta che in una battaglia ho utilizzato tutti i mana disponibili e ho un posto libero e utilizzerei solo molto raramente le altre 0 mana cards.

In questa situazione ho 2 possibilità:

• continuo ad usare Furious Chicken e mantengo inutilizzate le altre carte o le rendo disponibili per il noleggio
• scelgo una 0 mana card da potenziare al massimo livello, conservo 1 BCX per ogni 0 mana card dell'edizione Chaos Legion e vendo tutti gli altri BCX. Con il ricavato acquisto i BCX per potenziare la 0 mana card che ho scelto di potenziare.

Oggi ho scelto la seconda possibilità e come obiettivo di upgrade ho scelto Scorch Fiend.

Ho scelto di portare Scorch Fiend al massimo livello per i seguenti motivi:

• Scorch Fiend è l'unica carta che costa 0 mana dell'edizione Chaos Legion che acquisisce 2 punti di attacco (a partire dal livello 3).

• Scorch Fiend al livello massimo acquisisce l'abilità Demoralize che è un'ottima e utile abilità nel caso in cui l'avversario utilizza molte carte con attacco da mischia oppure quando la ruleset della battaglia è UP CLOSE & PERSONAL

• Scorch Fiend di livello 4 giocherebbe molto bene in combinazione con due dei miei evocatori:
  • Daria Dragonscale
  • Tarsa

Se venderò tutti i BCX superiori a 1 delle mie 0 mana cards dell'edizione Chaos Legion al prezzo Low Buy otterrò un guadagno di 64.5370$

Per potenziare Scorch Fiend al livello massimo devo acquistare 8 BCX il cui valore di mercato totale è di 33.33$

Se riuscirò a completare tutte le operazioni di acquisto e le operazioni di vendita che ho mostrato in questo post avrò ottenuto due vantaggi rispetto ad oggi:

• avrò aggiunto alla mia collezione di carte una carta:
  • molto più utile in battaglia rispetto al livello iniziale
  • particolarmente utile in Low mana battles che hanno precise rulesets come ad esempio UP CLOSE & PERSONAL.
• avrò un surplus di 31.20$ che potrò utilizzare per acquistare altre carte utili in battaglia e aumentare ancora di più la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte.

Splinterlands è il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito, mi piace giocare le battaglie e mi piace ottimizzare la mia collezione di carte per aumentare il numero di carte utili in battaglia a mia disposizione.

Se riuscirò ad aggiungere Scorch Fiend di livello 4 alla mia collezione di carte avrò fatto un ulteriore piccolo passo in avanti verso il mio obiettivo di gioco attuale: giocare nelle leghe Diamond fin dal primo giorno della stagione!
