My Card Collection Optimization: Focus on Dragon Cards
Today I return to writing about my favorite blockchain game and resume sharing the activity of optimizing my card collection, which consists mainly of:
- selling cards that are of little use in battle and/or that I never use in battle.
- selling cards that are objectively useful in battle but only at a certain level and that I cannot or will not upgrade
- buying cards that are useful in battle
Optimizing my card collection will allow me to achieve the game goal I have set for myself in the short term: play in Diamond leagues from the earliest days of the season and not only on the last day of the season as was the case in the last few seasons I played.
Today, December 10, 2022, there are about 5 days left until the end of the Splinterlands season and I am in the Gold I league of the Wild format with a rating score of 2581 points.
The optimization activity I have been doing for the past two months is having its positive effects because I am already very close to league Diamond III but it is still not enough and I need to continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection.
In my previous post I focused on buying and upgrading some cards from the Chaos Legion edition of the fire element today I will focus on buying and upgrading cards from the Dragon element.
The importance of summoner cards in optimization activities
Choosing a card to upgrade or purchase is not an equal choice for all players and could be a better or worse choice depending on the type and level of summoners a player has in his or her collection.
In my card collection I have 5 summoners of the dragon element:
- 1 Daria Dragonscale of level 6
- 1 Delwyn Dragonscale of level 8
- 1 Brighton Bloom of level 5
- 1 Quix the Devious of level 2
- 2 Byzantine Kitty of level 1
The dragon element summoners that I use the most are Daria Dragonscale and Delwyn Dragonscale and consequently the cards that benefit the most from the abilities of my two summoners are the cards that have magic attacks or ** melee attacks** or both.
I also use level 5 Bringhton Bloom in battle but much less frequently and only when the battle rule is Earthquake.
My choices of buying and upgrading monster-type cards are consequently influenced by the abilities of the summoners I own and use the most.
My purchase and/or upgrade goals
The dragon element summoner I like best is by far Byzantine Kitty who is also the summoner usable in the modern format that has the highest market value.
I have long had as a goal to have Byzantine Kitty at least level 3 in my card collection and my only obstacle has always been one: the high market price.
In my opinion Byzantine Kitty is the most useful and versatile summoner among legendary summoners because:
- it has two abilities (True Strike and +2 speed) that positively affect all summoned cards and not just a few.
- it has the Tank Heal ability that allows it to heal all cards that are in the first position
As you can see from the following image (Bulk Buy from Peakmonsters):
- Byzantine Kitty of level 4 has a cost of 3799$
- Byzantine Kitty of level 3 has a cost of 2033$
- Byzantine Kitty of level 2 has a cost of 975$
- Byzantine Kitty of level 1 has a cost of 350$
This morning while looking at the dragon element card marketplace to choose which cards to buy and/or upgrade I immediately noticed the sale price of 1 copy of Byzantine Kitty: 300$.
300$ is a purchase price I have hardly found in the last 180 days especially related to a single BCX as you can see from the following chart of Splitercards (Low Card).
I did not think twice and immediately purchased a copy of Byzantine Kitty for the price of $300.
I used the website of https://monstermarket.io/ for the purchase.
I spent 381000 DEC but received a cashback of 11430.02 DEC and thus spent less than $300 in total.
I immediately removed my two level 1 cards from the rental market and as soon as the cooldown period has passed I will upgrade from level 1 to level 2.
Unfortunately Level 2 Byzantine Kitty will not be particularly useful to me in the Gold and Diamond leagues I play in but I will be able to rent it out and make a higher profit than renting 2 Level 1 Byzantine Kitty.
In fact, the lowest rental cost of level 1 Byzantine Kitty is 57,659 DEC while the lowest rental cost of level 2 Byzantine Kitty is 223.74 DEC.
My upgrade goal is level 3 and to reach it I need three more level 1 cards.
I immediately made a BID offer through Peakmonsters and hope it will be accepted in the next few days.
In case it is not accepted or if my BID offer is outbid by another purchase offer I will increase my purchase offer.
Legendary monsters of the Dragon element
In the following image you can see the legendary monster cards of the dragon element that I have in my collection.
The cards I use the most are Gold Dragon level 3, Dragon Jumper level 2 and Chaos Dragon level 2.
To increase the battle strength of my dragon element card collection, I chose as the first objective a card from the Riftwatchers collection that is really a very useful card in battles that have a high number of mana available: Agor Longtail
My buy goal is level 3 which is the level that has in my opinion the best battle utility/cost ratio.
There are so many combinations of cards that can be used with Agor Longtail level 3.
For example, the combination in the following image is just one of many possible combinations that I would like to have available in my card collection in the future.
I decided to buy a copy of Agor Longtail level 1 right away from Monstermarket while to reach level 3 I decided to make 5 BID purchase offers from Peakmonsters.
Another legendary card of the dragon element that I use often is Carnage Titan.
In my card collection I have:
- 2 Carnage Titan of level 1.
- 1 Carnage Titan of level 2 (Gold).
Carnage Titan is a card I use often when there is a lot of mana available and the Double Strike ability allows you to double the attack of Carnage Titan which at level 4 has an attack potential of 8 points.
I decided to upgrade my Carnage Titan to the maximum level but since I play most of the season still in Gold leagues I will start buying 4 BCX to reach level 3 first.
Again, I have chosen the Make Bid option from Peakmonsters as my mode of purchase.
Epic monsters of the dragon element
In the following image you can see the epic monster cards of the dragon element that I have in my collection.
The cards I use most and particularly when the battle rule is little league are Manticore (level 5) and Fiendish Harpy (level 4).
To increase the battle strength of my dragon element card collection, I have chosen only one epic-type enhancement target: Djinn Chwala.
Djin Chwala is a card that I do not use often in battle because it is only useful to me in particular situations and because I have better cards in my collection.
Although it is not a priority goal of mine, I decided to take my level 3 Djin Chwala card to the maximum level because it has a very low cost on the market.
As you can see from the calculations in the image below to buy 29 BCX and to take Djinn Chwala from level 3 to the maximum level I spent only $2.5230.
Rare and Common Monsters of the Dragon Element
In my collection I have 4 rare cards of the Dragon element and one common card.
I have upgraded Naga Assassin and Dhampir Infiltrator to the highest level.
The card I use most in battle is Dhampir Infiltrator of level 8 because although it is a cheap card it is also very useful in battle.
I dedicated a previous post of mine to Dhampir Infiltrator and I consider this card a must buy with excellent battle utility/cost ratio.

There are no other Rare and Common cards of the Dragon element that I want to upgrade or purchase at the moment.
Final Considerations
With the purchases I made today, I increased the battle strength of my Dragon element card collection.
My main upgrade goal is the Byzantine Kitty summoner which I would like to bring up to level 3 but at the same time I would like to try to spend less than the prices that are now on the market and for that I used the Make Bid feature of Peakmonsters.
The purchases/upgrades I have made and shared in this post will most likely not be enough to return to playing in the Diamond leagues of Splinterlands in the immediate future but I have definitely taken one more step toward this goal of mine.
After purchasing/powering the fire element cards (My Card Collection Optimization: Sell and Buy! Focus on Fire Cards) and the Dragon element cards I will move on to focus on strengthening the neutral-element card collection but that will be the topic of my next post ;)

L'ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte: Focus sulle carte dell'elemento Dragone
Oggi ritorno a scrivere sul mio gioco blockchain preferito e riprendo a condividere l'attività di ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte che consiste principalmente nel:
- vendere le carte che sono poco utili in battaglia e/o che non utilizzo mai in battaglia
- vendere le carte che sono oggettivamente utili in battaglia ma solo ad un determinato livello e che non posso o non ho intenzione di potenziare
- acquistare carte che sono utili in battaglia
Ottimizzare la mia collezione di carte mi permetterà di raggiungere l'obiettivo di gioco che mi sono imposto di raggiungere nel breve periodo: giocare nelle leghe Diamond fin dai primi giorni della stagione e non solo nell'ultimo giorno della stagione come è avvenuto nelle ultime stagioni da me giocate.
Oggi 10 dicembre 2022 mancano circa 5 giorni alla fine della stagione di Splinterlands e sono in lega Gold I del formato Wild con un punteggio di rating di 2581 punti.
L'attività di ottimizzazione che ho effettuato negli ultimi due mesi sta producendo i suoi effetti positivi perchè sono già molto vicino alla lega Diamond III ma non è ancora sufficiente e devo continuare ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte.
In un mio precedente post mi sono focalizzato sull'acquisto e l'upgrade di alcune carte dell'edizione Chaos Legion dell'elemento fuoco oggi mi focalizzerò sull'acquisto e l'upgrade delle carte dell'elemento Dragone.
L'importanza delle carte evocatore nell'attività di ottimizzazione
Scegliere una carta da potenziare o da acquistare non è una scelta uguale per tutti i giocatori e potrebbe essere una scelta migliore o peggiore in base al tipo e al livello degli evocatori che un giocatore ha nella sua collezione.
Nella mia collezione di carte ho 5 evocatori dell'elemento dragone:
- 1 Daria Dragonscale di livello 6
- 1 Delwyn Dragonscale di livello 8
- 1 Brighton Bloom di livello 5
- 1 Quix the Devious di livello 2
- 2 Byzantine Kitty di livello 1
Gli evocatori dell'elemento dragone che uso di più sono Daria Dragonscale e Delwyn Dragonscale e di conseguenza le carte che beneficiano di più delle abilità dei miei due evocatori sono le carte che hanno attacchi magici o attacchi da mischia o entrambi.
Utilizzo in battaglia anche Bringhton Bloom di livello 5 ma molto meno frequentemente e solo quando la regola di battaglia è Earthquake.
Le mie scelte di acquisto e di upgrade delle carte di tipo mostro sono di conseguenza influenzate dalle abilità degli evocatori che possiedo e che utilizzo di più.
I miei obiettivi di acquisto e/o di upgrade
L'evocatore dell'elemento dragone che più mi piace è in assoluto Byzantine Kitty che è anche l'evocatore utilizzabile nel modern format che ha il valore di mercato più alto.
Ho da tempo come obiettivo di avere Byzantine Kitty almeno di livello 3 nella mia collezione di carte e il mio unico ostacolo è stato sempre uno: l'alto prezzo di mercato.
Secondo me Byzantine Kitty è l'evocatore più utile e versatile tra gli evocatori leggendari perchè:
- ha due abilità (True Strike e +2 velocità) che influenzano positivamente tutte le carte evocate e non solo alcune.
- ha l'abilità Tank Heal che permette di curare tutte le carte che si trovano in prima posizione
L'unico ostacolo che devo superare in questo momento è il prezzo di acquisto che è molto alto.
Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente (Bulk Buy di Peakmonsters):
- Bizantine Kitty di livello 4 ha un costo di 3799$
- Byzantine Kitty di livello 3 ha un costo di 2033$
- Byzantine Kitty di livello 2 ha un costo di 975$
- Byzantine Kitty di livello 1 ha un costo di 350$
Questa mattina mentre guardavo il mercato delle carte dell'elemento dragone per scegliere quali carte acquistare e/o potenziare ho subito notato il prezzo di vendita di 1 copia di Byzantine Kitty: 300$.
300$ è un prezzo di acquisto che difficilmente ho trovato negli ultimi 180 giorni soprattutto relativi ad un singolo BCX come puoi vedere dal grafico seguente di Splitercards (Low Card).
Non ci ho pensato due volte e ho immediatamente acquistato una copia di Byzantine Kitty al prezzo di 300$.
Per l'acquisto ho utilizzato il sito di https://monstermarket.io/.
Ho speso 381000 DEC ma ho ricevuto un cashback di 11430.02 DEC e quindi ho speso in totale meno di 300$.
Ho subito tolto dal mercato del noleggio le mie due carte di livello 1 e appena sarà passato il periodo di cooldown farò l'upgrade dal livello 1 al livello 2.
Purtroppo Byzantine Kitty di livello 2 non mi sarà particolarmente utile nelle leghe Gold e Diamond in cui gioco ma potrò darla in noleggio e ottenere un guadagno maggiore rispetto al noleggio di 2 Byzantine Kitty di livello 1.
Infatti il costo di noleggio più basso di Byzantine Kitty di livello 1 è di 57.659 DEC mentre il costo più basso del noleggio di Byzantine Kitty di livello 2 è di 223.74 DEC.
Il mio obiettivo di upgrade è il terzo livello e per raggiungerlo ho bisogno di altre tre carte di livello 1.
Ho subito fatto un'offerta BID tramite Peakmonsters e spero che venga accettata nei prossimi giorni.
Nel caso non venga accettata o se la mia offerta BID sarà superata da un'altra offerta di acquisto aumenterò la mia offerta di acquisto.
Mostri Leggendari dell'elemento Dragone
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte mostro leggendarie dell'elemento dragone che ho nella mia collezione.
Le carte che utilizzo di più sono Gold Dragon di livello 3, Dragon Jumper di livello 2 e Chaos Dragon di livello 2.
Per aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte dell'elemento dragone ho scelto come primo obiettivo una carta della collezione Riftwatchers che è davvero una carta molto utile nelle battaglie che hanno un alto numero di mana a disposizione: Agor Longtail
Il mio obiettivo di acquisto è il livello 3 che è il livello che ha secondo me il miglior rapporto utilità in battaglia/costo.
Sono davvero tante le combinazioni di carte utilizzabili con Agor Longtail di livello 3.
Ad esempio la combinazione nell'immagine seguente è solo una delle tante combinazioni possibili che mi piacerebbe avere a disposizione in futuro nella mia collezione di carte.
Ho deciso di comprare subito una copia di Agor Longtail di livello 1 da Monstermarket mentre per raggiungere il livello 3 ho deciso di effettuare 5 offerte di acquisto BID da Peakmonsters.
Un'altra carta leggendaria dell'elemento dragone che uso spesso è Carnage Titan.
Nella mia collezione di carte ho:
- 2 Carnage Titan di livello 1
- 1 Carnage Titan di livello 2 (Gold)
Carnage Titan è una carta che uso spesso quando i mana disponibili sono tanti e l'abitlità Double Strike permette di raddoppiare l'attacco di Carnage Titan che al livello 4 ha un potenziale di attacco di 8 punti.
Ho deciso di potenziare il mio Carnage Titan fino al livello massimo ma dato che gioco per la maggior parte della stagione ancora nelle leghe Gold inizierò ad acquistare 4 BCX per raggiungere prima il livello 3.
Anche in questo caso ho scelto come modalità di acquisto l'opzione Make Bid di Peakmonsters.
Mostri Epici dell'elemento dragone
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte mostro epiche dell'elemento dragone che ho nella mia collezione.
Le carte che uso di più e in particolare quando la regola di battaglia è little league sono Manticore (livello 5) e Fiendish Harpy (livello 4).
Per aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte dell'elemento dragone ho scelto un solo obiettivo di potenziamento di tipo epico: Djinn Chwala.
Djin Chwala è una carta che non uso spesso in battaglia perchè mi è utile solo in particolari situazioni e perchè ho carte migliori nella mia collezione.
Anche se non è un mio obiettivo prioritario ho deciso di portare la mia carta Djin Chwala di livello 3 al massimo livello perchè ha un costo molto basso sul mercato.
Come puoi vedere dai calcoli nell'immagine seguente per acquistare 29 BCX e per portare Djinn Chwala dal livello 3 al livello massimo ho speso solo 2.5230$.
Mostri Rari e Comuni dell'elemento Dragone
Nella mia collezione ho 4 carte rare dell'elemento Dragone e una sola carta comune.
Ho potenziato al massimo livello Naga Assassin e Dhampir Infiltrator.
La carta che utilizzo di più in battaglia è Dhampir Infiltrator di livello 8 perche anche se è una carta economica è anche molto utile in battaglia.
Ho dedicato un mio precedente post a Dhampir Infiltrator e considero questa carta un must buy dall'ottimo rapporto utilità in battaglia/costo.

Considerazioni Finali
Con gli acquisti che ho effettuato oggi ho aumentato la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte dell'elemento Dragone.
Il mio obiettivo di upgrade principale è l'evocatore Byzantine Kitty che vorrei portare al livello 3 ma allo stesso tempo vorrei cercare di spendere meno rispetto ai prezzi che ci sono adesso sul mercato e per questo ho utilizzato la funzionalità Make Bid di Peakmonsters.
Gli acquisti/upgrades che ho effettuato e che ho condiviso in questo post con molta probabilità non saranno sufficienti per tornare a giocare nelle leghe Diamond di Splinterlands nell'immediato futuro ma ho sicuramente fatto un ulteriore passo in avanti verso questo mio obiettivo.
Dopo aver acquistato/potenziato le carte dell'elemento fuoco (My Card Collection Optimization: Sell and Buy! Focus on Fire Cards) e le carte dell'elemento Dragone passerò ad occuparmi del potenziamento della collezione di carte dell'elemento neutrale ma questo sarà l'argomento del mio prossimo post ;)

Those are some nice upgrades. I have some rental income stacked so I should definitely be upgrading cards that I use more often in fights. I still have some of the GLX profit but I don't know if I would focus on dragon though. Maybe upgrading summoners would be the best choice for me.
