I started playing Splinterlands on October 18, 2019 and today after almost 3 1/2 years Splinterlands is still my favorite blockchain-based game.
On Splinterlands I have several goals and one of them is to be able to play in Diamonds leagues from the very first days of the season and not just the last 2-3 days of the season.
I have been pursuing this goal for several months and in order to achieve it I have been constantly trying to optimize my card collection by selling cards that I do not use or use little in battle and buying cards that I consider useful in battle.

In addition to playing I also like to share my game strategies and purchase/upgrade goals on my Hive blog and today I am sharing some of my purchase goals and some evaluations on summoner type cards.

Over the past few months my game progress has been slow but steady and so far I have achieved almost all of the purchase/upgrade goals I set for myself and shared in the following posts.

When there are just over 7 days left until the end of the current season of Splinterlands I am in the Gold II league of the Wild Format.

In Splinterlands Gold leagues, cards cannot be used at the highest level.

In Diamond+ leagues, however, it is possible to use all cards at the maximum level.

Last season I arrived in the Diamond leagues three days before the end of the season.
By continuing to increase the level of the monster cards I like best I should (I hope) be able to gradually increase the time I play in the Diamond leagues as well.

If in Gold leagues I feel very comfortable with the cards I own, the same thing doesn't happen when I get into Diamond leagues because I only have one top-level summoner: Daria Dragonscale.

The other summoners I have and use the most have a level below the maximum and you can see them all in the following images.

When I get into Diamond leagues I have a disadvantage compared to other players who have maximum level summoners because I can't use all the stats and abilities of the cards I have brought up to maximum level.

In my card collection I have:

• 6 top level common cards
  
• 8 rare cards of maximum level
  
• 7 maximum level rare cards
  
• 3 legendary cards of maximum level
  

I therefore have 23 monster cards that I could use with better battle stats when I get to the Diamond leagues but cannot do so unless I use my one maximum level summoner.

So my goal is to have at least one maximum level summoner per element.

Because I play most days of the season in the Gold leagues I am not in a particular hurry to upgrade my summoners and for this reason I have decided to use BIDs available from the Buy section of Peakmonsters as my method of purchase (https://peakmonsters.com/market).

Using the BID feature has advantages and disadvantages but in my experience so far I have gotten more advantages than disadvantages.

The first disadvantage of the BID function is that **you may not be able to buy if the cards have a sudden increase in value.

This is exactly what happened two years ago when I tried to purchase:

• Gold Dragon of level 3
• Red Dragon of level 3

Before my purchase offers could be accepted, the value of the cards I wanted to purchase increased by a lot in a short time.

But even though I could not purchase all the BCXs of the cards I wanted to buy I bought 3 BCXs of Gold Dragon by paying:

• 6060.60 DEC for BCXs that were worth $4.5 at the time of my purchase.

Today Gold Dragon has a value per BCX of $25 = 34342 DEC and my purchase was still a very good and profitable purchase but if I had bought all the BCXs at the Low Buy price two years ago today I would have made a bigger profit.

The other disadvantage of the BID feature is that you have to take into consideration that you may have to wait a long time to buy a card.

However, in my opinion the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and the ability to spend much less to purchase a card along with the great time savings over frequent market monitoring greatly offset the disadvantages.

For example, BID functionality is the purchasing method I used to purchase 4 BCX of Byzantine Kitty that allowed me to add to my card collection Byzantine Kitty level 3.

Thanks to the BID offers, it took me 7 months to obtain 4 BCX of Byzantine Kitty but I spent a total of 1278913.39 DEC = $942.55 = $235.5 per BCX

Those who want to purchase 4 BCXs of Byzantine Kitty today must spend a total of $1327 = $331.75 per BCX (based on the lowest market price of 4 BCXs - February 20, 2023)

I could make a potential profit of +$384 just by considering the purchase price of the 4 BCXs I bought using the BID offers but I definitely do not want to sell my Byzantine Kitty because it is my favorite summoner and it is also the summoner I consider the most useful and versatile.

When I am not in a hurry to purchase one or more cards and when there is a good margin of difference between the Low Buy price and the Highest Bid value on the market the Make Bid purchase mode made available by Peakmonsters is my preferred purchase method.

Now let me show you the BIDs I made today.

As a summoner of the element fire to upgrade to maximum level I chose Tarsa.

In my card collection I have 50 BCX of Tarsa and to upgrade it to the maximum level I need to buy another 65 BCX.

I will proceed in successive steps.

As first upgrade step I will take Tarsa to level 7 and in the image below you can see my BID purchase offer of 35 BCX.

As a summoner of the water element to be upgraded to the highest level, I chose Kelya Frendul.

I have 62 BCX of Kelya Frendul and to reach the maximum level I need to purchase another 53 BCX.

As the first upgrade step I will bring Kelya Frendul to level 7 and in the following image you can see my BID aqusto offer of 23 BCX.

As a summoner of the element Earth to be level up I have chosen Obsidian.

I have 67 BCX of Obsidian and to reach the maximum level I need to purchase another 48 BCX.

As a first step I will bring Obsidian to level 7 and in the image below you can see my BID purchase offer of 18 BCX.

I have left out but only for the moment the upgrade of summoners of the Death element because I want to calmly evaluate which summoners to upgrade and which to sell.

When I will have in my collection at least one maximum level summoner for each element I will focus again on Byzantine Kitty because I would like to upgrade her to the maximum level but in all probability to reach this goal will take some time because I will have to choose first some cards to sell to increase the amount of DEC tokens in my possession

In conclusion, I want to share my appreciation for a new feature recently introduced by PeakMonsters: the My Decks feature.

Since a few days it is possible to build Thematic Decks based on leagues and formats, and it is also possible to build Lineups that are particularly useful in certain game circumstances.

The Decks created can be published or maintained privately.

This is a feature that I really like because it is useful:

• to new players who can know more quickly what card combinations are most useful in a specific league or game circumstance.
• to old players who can:
  • easily share via a link tips and lineups to new players.
  • can save a lineup of an opponent encountered in battle via copy-paste of the battle link and evaluate it at leisure later.
  • can evaluate decks and suggestions from stronger players (pro players).

I will try to dedicate a future post of mine to this new and interesting feature ;)

My Card Collection Optimization: Focus sugli Evocatori e l'utilità delle offerte di acquisto

Ho iniziato a giocare a Splinterlands il 18 ottobre 2019 e oggi dopo quasi 3 anni e mezzo Splinterlands è ancora il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito.
Su Splinterlands ho diversi obiettivi e uno di questi è riuscire a giocare nelle leghe Diamonds fin dai primi giorni della stagione e non solo gli ultimi 2-3 giorni della stagione.
Inseguo questo obiettivo da diversi mesi e per raggiungerlo ho costantemente cercato di ottimizzare la mia collezione di carte vendendo le carte che non usavo o che usavo poco in battaglia e comprando carte che considero utili in battaglia.

Oltre a giocare mi piace anche condividere le mie strategie di gioco e i miei obiettivi di acquisto/upgrade sul mio Hive blog e oggi condivido alcuni miei obiettivi di acquisto e alcune valutazioni sulle carte di tipo evocatore.

Negli ultimi mesi i miei progressi di gioco sono stati lenti ma costanti e fino ad ora ho raggiunto quasi tutti gli obiettivi di acquisto/upgrade che mi ero posto e che ho condiviso nei seguenti post.

Quando mancano poco più di 7 giorni alla fine della stagione attualmente in corso di Splinterlands sono in lega Gold II del Wild Format.

Nelle leghe Gold di Splinterlands non è possibile utilizzare le carte al massimo livello.

Nelle leghe Diamond+ è invece possibile utilizzare tutte le carte al massimo livello.

Nella scorsa stagione sono arrivato nelle leghe Diamond tre giorni prima della fine della stagione.
Continuando ad aumentare il livello delle carte mostro che mi piacciono di più dovrei (lo spero) riuscire ad aumentare progressivamente anche il tempo in cui gioco nelle leghe Diamond.

Se nelle leghe Gold mi sento molto a mio agio con le carte che possiedo, non succede la stessa cosa quando arrivo nelle leghe Diamond perchè ho solo un evocatore di massimo livello: Daria Dragonscale.

Gli altri evocatori che ho e che utilizzo di più hanno un livello inferiore al massimo e li puoi vedere tutti nelle immagini seguenti.

Quando arrivo nelle leghe Diamond ho uno svantaggio rispetto ad altri giocatori che hanno evocatori di massimo livello perchè non posso utilizzare tutte le statistiche e le abilità delle carte che ho portato al livello massimo.

Nella mia collezione di carte ho:

• 6 carte comuni di livello massimo
  
• 8 carte rare di livello massimo
  
• 7 carte rare di livello massimo
  
• 3 carte leggendarie di livello massimo
  

Ho quindi 23 carte mostro che potrei utilizzare con statistiche di battaglia migliori quando arrivo nelle leghe Diamond ma non posso farlo a meno che non utilizzo il mio unico evocatore di massimo livello.

Il mio obiettivo è quindi di avere almeno un evocatore di massimo livello per ogni elemento.

Poichè gioco la maggior parte dei giorni dell stagione nelle leghe Gold non ho una particolare fretta per fare l'upgrade dei miei evocatori e per questo motivo ho deciso di utilizzare come metodo di acquisto le offerte di acquisto BID effettuabili dalla sezione Buy di Peakmonsters.

Utilizzare la funzionalità BID ha vantaggi e svantaggi ma nella mia esperienza fino ad ora ho ottenuto più vantaggi che svantaggi.

Il primo svantaggio della funzionalità BID è che puoi rimanere con il "cerino in mano" se le carte hanno un improvviso aumento di valore.

E' esattamente quello che è successo due anni fa quando ho cercato di acquistare:

• Gold Dragon di livello 3
• Red Dragon di livello 3

Prima che le mie offerte di acquisto potessero essere accettate il valore delle carte che volevo acquistare è aumentato di molto e in poco tempo.

Ma anche se non ho potuto acquistare tutti i BCX delle carte che volevo acquistare ho comprato 3 BCX di Gold Dragon pagando:

• 6060.60 DEC per BCX che al momento del mio acquisto valevano 4.5$

Oggi Gold Dragon ha un valore per BCX di 25$ = 34342 DEC e il mio acquisto è stato comunque un ottimo e profittevole acquisto ma se avessi acquistato tutti i BCX al prezzo Low Buy di due anni fa oggi avrei ottenuto un profitto maggiore.

L'altro svantaggio della funzionalità BID è che devi mettere in conto che per acquistare una carta puoi dover aspettare molto tempo.

Secondo me però i vantaggi superano gli svantaggi e la possibilità di spendere molto meno per acquistare una carta può compensare enormemente il tempo di attesa.

Ad esempio la funzionalità BID è il metodo di acquisto che ho utilizzato per acquistare 4 BCX di Byzantine Kitty che mi hanno permesso di aggiungere alla mia collezione di carte Byzantine Kitty di livello 3.

Grazie alle offerte BID ho impiegato 7 mesi per ottenere 4 BCX di Byzantine Kitty ma ho speso in totale 1278913.39 DEC = 942.55$ = 235.5$ per BCX

Chi vuole acquistare oggi 4 BCX di Byzantine Kitty deve spendere in totale $ 1327 = 331.75 per BCX (in base al prezzo più basso sul mercato di 4 BCX - 20 febbraio 2023)

Potrei realizzare un potenziale profitto di +384$ solo considerando il prezzo di acquisto dei 4 BCX che ho acquistato utilizzando le offerte BID ma non voglio assolutamente vendere la mia Byzantine Kitty perchè è il mio evocatore preferito ed è anche l'evocatore che considero il più utile e versatile.

Quando non fretta per acquistare una o più carte e quando c'è un buon margine di differenza tra il prezzo Low Buy e il valore dell'Highest Bid sul mercato la modalità di acquisto Make Bid messa a disposizione da Peakmonsters è il mio metodo di acquisto preferito.

Come evocatore dell'elemento fuoco da portare al massimo livello ho scelto Tarsa.

Ho tralasciato ma solo per il momento l'upgrade degli evocatori dell'elemento Morte perchè voglio valutare con calma quali evocatori potenziare e quali vendere.

Quando avrò nella mia collezione almeno un evocatore di massimo livello per ogni elemento mi focalizzerò di nuovo su Byzantine Kitty perchè mi piacerebbe portarla al massimo livello ma con molta probabilità per raggiungere questo obiettivo ci vorrà del tempo perchè dovrò scegliere prima alcune carte da vendere per aumentare il quantitativo di token DEC in mio possesso dato il costo molto elevato dei 5 BCX di Byzantine Kitty che mi servono.

In conclusione voglio condividere il mio apprezzamento per una nuova funzionalità introdotta di recente da PeakMonsters: la funzionalità My Decks.

Da pochi giorni è possibile costruire Decks Tematici in base alle leghe e ai formati ed è possibile anche costruire Lineup particolarmente utili in determinate circostanze di gioco.

I Decks creati possono essere pubblicati o mantenuti privati.

Questa è una funzionalità che mi piace davvero molto perchè è utile:

• ai nuovi giocatori che possono conoscere più velocemente quali sono le combinazioni di carte più utili in una determinata lega o in una determinata circostanza di gioco.
• ai vecchi giocatori che possono:
  • condividere facilmente tramite un link suggerimenti e formazioni ai nuovi giocatori.
  • possono salvare una lineup di un avversario incontrato in battaglia tramite il copia incolla del link della battaglia e valutarla con calma in un secondo momento.
  • possono valutare i decks e i suggerimenti dei giocatori più forti (pro players).

Cercherò di dedicare un mio futuro post a questa nuova e interessante funzionalità ;)
