VRUZ Sale: Market Value, My Buying Strategy, Calculations and Considerations

In February and March there were so many new features in the Splinterverse.
In early February, Soulbound Reward Cards were introduced.
Then several changes to the mechanisms of ranked battles and rental mechanisms were introduced.
The whitepaper for version 1.5 of the Lands was released.
The Closed Beta phase of Soulkeep, the tower defense game from Splinterlands, has begun.

On March 21, 2023, the first Promo Card Sale began, reserved only for Splintershards (SPS) stakeholders who had a staked amount of SPS greater than or equal to 1000 during the snapshot that occurred on the afternoon of March 21, 2023 .

The Promo Card Sale subject is a common card of the dragon element: Vruz.

I already published a post about Vruz 6 days ago, when the sale had not yet started: VRUZ: The first promo card buyable only by SPS Stakeholders!

In my previous post on Vruz I had made evaluations and also predictions about the probable price in the market:

This is just my prediction, it is not financial advice and I could be wrong but I think 1 copy of Vruz will have a market value of not less than $0.20-$0.25.

My prediction is right for the time being because today, a little over a day after the sale began, the market value of Vruz is $0.49.

I think this market value will decrease when the sale is over because the number of cards in circulation will increase but I still continue to expect that it will not drop below $0.20-$0.25.

I do not know the exact amount of SPS staked tokens that were there at the time of the snapshot but based on the amount of SPS staked today it is still possible to make some calculations and evaluations that could help to make predictions about the future market value of Vruz and could be useful in deciding on a possible buying strategy.

At the time I am writing this post there are 550688677 SPS staked.

Based on this amount of staked SPSs, the theoretical maximum number of BCXs of Vruz that can be purchased by SPS stakeholders should be 550689 BCXs which is also the maximum number of BCXs that could be in circulation at the end of the sale.

My guess is that the number of VRUZ copies (BCXs) in circulation at the end of the sale will be less than the calculation I showed you earlier but should not fall below 450000 units.

Based on the current market price of VRUZ and based on the current market value of VOUCHER tokens buying VRUZ using VOUCHER tokens is a very advantageous purchase transaction for SPS stakeholders.

Today 1 VOUCHER token has a purchase cost of 0.30969 SWAP.HIVE = $0.120471 (Lowest Ask)

Those who purchase VRUZ from the marketplace spend $0.49 per BCX.
Those who have the opportunity to buy VRUZ with VOUCHER tokens spend 0.12$ per BCX and save 75% on the purchase price in the marketplace!

So dear reader if you had a quantity of staked SPS exceeding 1000 units on March 21, 2023 I advise you to buy VRUZ using VOUCHER tokens otherwise you miss a nice and profitable buying opportunity!

In the following table I have calculated:

  • the total cost in HIVE and in dollars for each level reached by the VRUZ card
  • the savings on the purchase cost achievable by using VOUCHER tokens compared to the market price

My buying strategy

Today I purchased 54 BCX of VRUZ from the SHOP->PROMO section of Splinterlands.

I used 54 VOUCHER for the purchase.

Each Vruz card purchased has a 4% chance of being Gold and I with 54 cards purchased was guaranteed to receive 2 Gold version cards.

I was lucky because I received:

  • 51 BCX regular version
  • 3 BCX gold version

I spent **6.50$ **and received a total value of 46.44$:

  • total value 51 VRUZ regular version: 24.99$
  • total value 3 VRUZ gold version: $7.15 * 3 = 21.45$

Vruz is a card I really like because I consider it a very useful card in battle especially in battles that have Little League and/or Equalizer rulesets.

I would like to have VRUZ of level 8 in my collection.

I could use level 8 Vruz with my Byzantine Kitty of level 3 which would raise Vruz's speed from 6 points to 8 points and add the True Strike ability to Vruz making level 8 Vruz almost equal to a level 10 Vruz.

I could use level 8 Vruz with my Daria Dragonscale of level 6 and that way I would have a card that costs only 2 mana with an attack of 3 points.

I start with 51 BCX and to upgrade Vruz to level 8 I should buy another 169 BCX and spend $82.81

As a purchasing strategy I decided to:

  • sell all copies of VRUZ (regular) at the lowest market price: 0.48$
  • sell all copies of VRUZ (gold) at the lowest market price: 7.14$
  • wait until the end of the current sale to buy 220 BCX

If I were to succeed in selling all the copies in my possession at the prices I indicated above I could get a total gain of 45.9$

So if in the future the market price for BCX drops to $0.30 I could buy 153 BCX.
If the market price for BCX were to fall to 0.25$ I could buy 183 BCX.

In this way with $45.9 available I might be able to get closer to my upgrade goal while spending much less than today.

Obviously my buying strategy and predictions are completely personal and could be wrong and therefore are not financial advice!

Today I also decided to sell all my VOUCHER tokens: 683.05

I made this choice because HIVE has fallen below the value of $0.40 ($0.3890) while VOUCHER tokens have also increased in value due to the sale of Vruz.

If I can sell my VOUCHER tokens at a price of 0.30 SWAP.HIVE each I could make a profit of 204.93 SWAP.HIVE

I will buy back the same amount of VOUCHER if the price falls between 0.23 SWAP.HIVE and 0.25 SWAP.HIVE.

With the profit I will buy more BCX of Vruz.

Nei mesi di febbraio e marzo sono stante tante le novità nel Splinterverse.
Agli inizi di febbraio sono state introdotte le Soulbound Reward Cards
Poi sono state introdotte diverse modifiche ai meccanismi delle ranked battles e ai meccanismi di noleggio.
E' stato pubblicato il whitepaper della versione 1.5 delle Lands.
E' iniziata la fase Closed Beta di Soulkeep, il gioco Tower defense di Splinterlands.

Il 21 marzo 2023 è iniziata la prima Promo Card Sale a cui possono partecipare solo gli Splintershards (SPS) stakeholders che avevano un quantitativo di SPS staked maggiore o uguale a 1000 durante lo snapshot che è avvenuto nel pomeriggio del 21 marzo 2023 .

L'oggetto della Promo Card Sale è una carta comune dell'elemento dragone: Vruz.

Ho già pubblicato un post su Vruz 6 giorni fa, quando la vendita non era ancora iniziata: VRUZ: The first promo card buyable only by SPS Stakeholders!
Nel mio precedente post su Vruz avevo fatto delle valutazioni e anche delle previsioni sul probabile prezzo sul mercato:

La mia previsione è per il momento giusta perchè oggi, dopo poco più di un giorno dall'inizio della vendita il valore di mercato di Vruz è di 0.49$.

Credo che questo valore di mercato diminuirà quando la vendita sarà terminata perchè il numero di carte in circolazione aumenterà ma continuo ancora a credere che non scenderà sotto il valore di 0.20$-0.25$.

Non conosco il quantitativo preciso dei token SPS staked che c'erano al momento dello snapshot ma in base al quantitativo di SPS staked di oggi è comunque possibile fare dei calcoli e delle valutazioni che potrebbero aiutare a fare previsioni sul valore futuro di mercato di Vruz e potrebbero essere utili per decidere una possibile strategia di acquisto.

Nel momento in cui sto scrivendo questo post ci sono 550688677 SPS staked.

In base a questo quantitativo di SPS staked il massimo numero teorico di BCX di Vruz acquistabili dagli SPS stakeholders dovrebbe essere di 550689 BCX che è anche il numero massimo di BCX che potrebbe essere in circolazione al termine della vendita.

Secondo me il numero di copie di VRUZ (BCXs) in circolazione alla fine della vendita sarà inferiore al calcolo che ti ho mostrato prima ma non dovrebbe scendere sotto le 450000 unità.

In base al prezzo di mercato attuale di VRUZ e in base al valore di mercato attuale dei token VOUCHER acquistare VRUZ usando i token VOUCHER è un'operazione di acquisto molto vantaggiosa per gli SPS stakeholders.

Oggi 1 token VOUCHER ha un costo di acquisto di 0.30969 SWAP.HIVE = 0.120471$ (Lowest Ask)

Chi acquista VRUZ dal mercato spende 0.49$ per BCX
Chi ha la possibilità di acquistare VRUZ con i token VOUCHER spende 0.12$ per BCX e risparmia il 75% sul prezzo di acquisto presente sul mercato!

Quindi caro lettore se avevi un quantitativo di SPS staked superiore alle 1000 unità il 21 marzo 2023 ti consiglio di acquistare VRUZ usando i token VOUCHER altrimenti perdi una bella e vantaggiosa occasione di acquisto!

Nella tabella seguente ho calcolato:

  • il costo totale in HIVE e in dollari per ogni livello raggiungibile dalla carta VRUZ
  • il risparmio sul costo di acquisto ottenibile utilizzando i token VOUCHER rispetto al prezzo di mercato

La mia strategia di acquisto

Oggi ho acquistato 54 BCX di VRUZ dalla sezione SHOP->PROMO di Splinterlands.

Per l'acquisto ho utilizzato 54 VOUCHER

Ogni carta Vruz acquistata ha una probabilità del 4% di essere Gold e io con 54 carte acquistate avevo la garanzia di ricevere 2 carte in versione Gold.

Sono stato fortunato perchè ho ricevuto:

  • 51 BCX regular version
  • 3 BCX gold version

Ho speso **6.50$ **e ho ricevuto un valore totale di 46.44$:

  • valore totale 51 VRUZ regular version: 24.99$
  • valore totale 3 VRUZ gold version: 7.15$ * 3 = 21.45$

Vruz è una carta che mi piace molto perchè la considero una carta molto utile in battaglia soprattutto nelle battaglie che hanno le rulesets Little League e/o Equalizer.

Mi piacerebbe avere nella mia collezione VRUZ di livello 8.

Potrei utilizzare Vruz di livello 8 con la mia Byzantine Kitty di livello 3 che porterebbe la velocità di Vruz da 6 punti ad 8 punti e aggiungerebbe a Vruz l'abilità True Strike facendo diventare Vruz di livello 8 quasi uguale ad un Vruz di livello 10.

Potrei utilizzare Vruz di livello 8 con la mia Daria Dragonscale di livello 6 e in questo modo avrei una carta che costa solo 2 mana con un'attacco di 3 punti.

Parto da 51 BCX e per fare l'upgrade di Vruz al livello 8 dovrei acquistare altri 169 BCX e spendere 82.81$

Come strategia di acquisto ho deciso di:

  • vendere tutte le copie di VRUZ (regular) al prezzo più basso del mercato: 0.48$
  • vendere tutte le copie di VRUZ (gold) al prezzo più basso del mercato: 7.14$
  • aspettare la fine della vendita in corso per acquistare 220 BCX

Se dovessi riuscire a vendere tutte le copie in mio possesso ai prezzi che ho indicato sopra potrei ottenere un guadagno totale di 45.9$

Se il prezzo di mercato per BCX dovesse scendere a 0.30$ potrei acquistare 153 BCX.
Se il prezzo di mercato per BCX dovesse scendere a 0.25$ potrei acquistare 183 BCX.

In questo modo con 45.9$ di guadagno potrei riuscire ad avvicinarmi al mio obiettivo di upgrade spendendo molto meno rispetto ad oggi.

Ovviamente la mia strategia di acquisto e le mie previsioni sono assolutamente personali e potrebbero essere sbagliate e quindi non sono consigli finanziari!

Oggi ho anche deciso di vendere tutti i miei token VOUCHER: 683.05

Ho fatto questa scelta perchè HIVE è sceso sotto il valore di 0.40$ (0.3890$) mentre i VOUCHER hanno aumentato il loro valore anche per effetto della vendita di Vruz.

Se riesco a vendere i miei token VOUCHER al prezzo di 0.30 SWAP.HIVE l'uno potrei ottenere un guadagno di 204.93 SWAP.HIVE

Riacquisterò lo stesso quantitativo di VOUCHER se il prezzo scenderà tra 0.23 SWAP.HIVE e 0.25 SWAP.HIVE.

Con il profitto acquisterò altri BCX di Vruz.

I agree that VOUCHERS are the way to go if you have any SPS staked. My luck wasn't as great as yours but I did get 1 gold foil Vruz so it wasn't that bad.

Si @stefano.massari Splinterlands sta diventando proprio un universo.
Soulkeep è il Tower Defense game targato Splinterlands che possono provare nella fase closed beta solo chi ha acquistato 500 pacchi di carte.
