Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with Noxious Fumes

Splinterlands one of the best card battle game on hive blockchain. This week BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge is with Noxious Fumes. This challenge is easy and also requires some basic understanding of cards used in battle. In this ruleset all units are Poisoned at the start of the game. Units with Immunity are not poisoned. This is a one-time application - units that are cleansed, resurrected or re-birthed will not be re-applied with poison. Enrage is triggered by Poison application. As in this battle Monsters with Ranged attack are very helpful so I decided to use some ranged attack monsters with high health. In this battle I used "Gelatinous Cube" as tank card having 12 health with heal / scavenger ability. In this battle I used one snipe ability card and one tank heal ability card. This battle was low mana 22 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was life vs dragon summoners.

  1. All Monsters start the battle Poisoned.

  2. All Monsters have the Knock Out ability.

  3. Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.

As battle was low mana so I decided to use some extra abilities cards and also fill all spots. I decided to use some strong back line cards having snipe ability. I used "Soul Fiend" as tank with 1 malee attack, 1 health, a filler card just fill the spot with zero mana. On 2nd position I used "Gelatinous Cube" no attack and 12 health with heal and scavenger ability. On 3rd position I used "Venari Crystalsmith" two ranged attack and 5 health with tank healer ability. On 4th position I used "Herbalist" one ranged attack and 2 health. On 2nd last position I used Mantoid 3 ranged attack and 5 health with snipe ability. On last position I used Furious Chicken one malee attack and one health. I am very happy with my team and if my tank card survives then my other cards will destroy the enemy team monsters. Let’s discuss my team one by one.

Soul Fiend

I used Soul Fiend Legendary life Unit as a tank card. This card has one malee attack and one health. I used this card on tank position as a filler card with zero mana. This card is very helpful to fill the spot.

Gelatinous Cube

On 2nd position I used Gelatinous Cube Common neutral Unit with heal and scavenger ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of its heal abilities and 12 health. Hope this card could heal on every turn.

Venari Crystalsmith

On 3rd position I used Venari Crystalsmith Rare life Unit. This card has 2 ranged attacks and 5 health with tank healer ability. I always used this card as my back line card as this card heal tank card on every turn.

Herbalist

On 4th position, I used Herbalist Common life Unit. This card has one ranged attack and two health. So hope this card perform well and do maximum damage to enemy tank card monsters.

Mantoid

On 2nd last position I used Mantoid Common neutral Unit. This card has 3 ranged attack and 5 health with snipe ability. I always used this card as my back line card so this card attack to enemy back line ranged attack monster cards.

Furious Chicken

On last position, I used another filler card Furious Chicken Rare neutral Unit to fill the spot. This card has one malee attack and one health. So hope this card waste enemy few attacks.

So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle I mostly rely on my tank healer and snipe ability cards. I used Gelatinous Cube as my tank card with heal and scavenger ability and also used Venari Crystalsmith with tank heal ability. So my all hopes on this card and also hope that this cards heal my tank card on every turn and also do some extra damage to enemy with its 2 ranged attacks. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my other cards could eliminate enemy's back line monsters cards. My heal and snipe ability cards are very strong so they can do some damage to enemy back line monsters cards and also heal my tank card. I think in this battle my healer card performed well and hoped "Venari Crystalsmith" could heal my tank card on every turn. Also hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy back line monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did 6 ranged and 2 malee attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 30 rounds.

My strategy paid off and my all cards performed well. Our today's battle challenge with "Noxious Fumes" ended on draw. In this battle enemy brought dragon team with some life monster cards. Overall my enemy brought a balance team with good attacking combination. My enemy also brought Gelatinous Cube and Venari Crystalsmith combination with heal ability. My cards survived thanks to heal and tank heal ability and this battle lasted till 30 round and after 4 round both team left with one card and at end this match was a draw. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods how to tackle enemy in any specific ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
