Golem Overlord - Starting from Scratch: Episode 3 "I Caved & Bought PART + Started a Guild!"

Plan Change

So, I was dead set on paying only 20 swap.hive and not investing any more in my second account. But things didn't go as planned.

My fortification was only level 2, and I kept losing everything to thieves. It was frustrating, and I wanted to speed up my progress during this Alpha period.

So, I decided to bite the bullet and bought 8 PART which I used to upgrade my fortification, power, and faith to level 3. It wasn't exactly a cheap purchase at 1.6 Hive per PART, but it was worth it.

My fortification can now protect my PARTs, and the upgraded power and faith will help me win more battles and collect more PARTs.

Increase the PART You Can Carry

Upgrading Power also increases how many PART you can carry at a time. The value after the / shows what you can carry. Right now mine is 5.6. You can also increase how much you can carry by adding PART to your Bank (this will stake your part).

Here's Info From the Game on How This Works:

The maximum number of $PART (the number you see after the / at the bottom) is determined by multiplying the time (seen in banked) with your income per hour (seen near your name).

There are 2 ways to increase this number:

1. Increase the time.
2. Increase your income/hour.
   Both of these ways increase your maximum however the difference is one also increases your income hence you fill it faster passively.

There are 2 ways to increase the time:

1. Level up your Power. 1 Power = 1 hour. This is limited to the first 10 levels.
2. Stake $PART in Banked. Staking a certain amount of parts increases your time based on the staked amount. The amount you need is based how much you currently have. At 0 banked until 100 banked you need 12.5 $PART for 1 hour.

There are also 2 ways to increase income:

1. Level Algorithm. This increases your scavenging multiplier.
2. Level Golem Charging Station. This increases your base scavenging rate.

The Extra PART is Helping!

At the end of the next 8 hour collection period, I had 2.8 PART still in my hands. Nothing was stolen! In fact, I fought off 3 attackers.

I also battled 2 times and won 2 battles for a total collection of 4.29 PART and I finally got a SHARD.

From there, I upgraded Algorithm to Level 3 (at a cost of 4 PART). This increased my PART per day potential from 8.7 to 10.6. 🙌

And I Started a Guild in my Main Account!

The Splinter Sharks have been on Splinterlands for a year and a half and now we're on Golem Overlord too! Being a guild member in GO gets you a 3% scavenge bonus! So I added this alt account to the guild too.
