INTRO

😁Welcome to my delightfully wacky artistic domain! I am a quirky artist who enjoys creating funny digital illustrations of humans, monsters, and aliens. I create characters that exist outside the bounds of ordinary imagination using limitless inventiveness and a sprinkle of eccentricity.

I am a crazy artist who enjoys creating humans, monsters, and aliens in wacky digital illustrations.😁

I've selected STONE GOLEM for this entry.

Today I'd want to delve into the intriguing area of character creation, with a focus on one of my current favorites, the Stone Golem. This huge, rock-solid creature became a canvas for my wild imagination, and I'm thrilled to explain how it came to be.

Reference!

Imagination Freed

I let my mind run wild before even touching the pen to the iPad. "What if a golem was made entirely of enchanted stones with ancient symbols etched onto its surface?" I wonder. This initial brainstorming session lays the groundwork for a unique persona.

From the Mind to the Canvas

I begin the creation process on my trusty tablet once I've decided on an idea. I start with a rough outline in Photoshop, my digital playground. This is the framework for my character's development. It's an important phase since it allows me to map out proportions and ensure the character fits the image I have in my head.

Layers,

One important component of my artistic technique is layering my work. Each portion of the body, limb, and feature has its layer. Why? Because animation is on its way. Having separate layers makes animating each part independently a breeze. This painstaking layering also aids in the addition of shadows and highlights, which I believe gives depth and realism to my designs.

Enter the world of animation.

The magic happens in character animation. I load my painstakingly made Stone Golem into an animation program. Why is animation used? Because it brings my characters to life. Planning moves, importing more objects for the scene, and working on backgrounds is a time-consuming procedure. The ultimate product is a living, dynamic image that tells a tale.

The Timer Begins to Tick

From concept to final animation, the Stone Golem requires around 7 and a half hours of focused work. It's a labor of love that necessitates patience, attention to detail, and a dash of insanity. But when I see my product come to life, every minute counts.
