Introduction

The most wanted monsters in Splinterlands are the lengendary rarity ones. This is not just because their difficulty in acquiring them, but also because they are the strongest in the game, making them decisive in a battle.

But there are situations we cannot use them, and one of them is when the Lost Legendaries ruleset is present.

And this week, it's time to talk more about it, bringing you strategies to play when they are unavailable.

How to deal with this ruleset

The first point we can observe is that most monsters with a mana cost greater or equal to 10 are legendary, so if we face a battle with a high amount of mana, a portion of mana may be left over.

There are 36 monsters with a mana cost greater or equal to 10, but only 9 are not legendary.

To make up for their lack, we should try to replace them with monsters that have similar abilities, so we won't miss them so much.

For example, in fire we can't use the Grum Flameblade or Caladuum, two excellent monsters with the Void ability, excellent for holding magical attacks.

However, they can be replaced by Tusk the Wide or the Pit Ogre. Of course the two legendaries are better, but both will certainly fulfill their function well.

You can also replace them with monsters from other Splinters, like the Earth one. In addition to two excellent monsters that have that ability, you can use the summoner Immortalis, both excellent options to hold magic monsters.

Example

Luckily, the rulesets favored me and made me able to build a good team, even without being able to use legendaries.
Starting with the amount of mana available, which was only 24.

In addition, summoners had no effect, neither adding or decreasing attributes, because of the Silenced Summoners ruleset.

And finally, the Reverse Speed rule, which reverses the order of monster attacks.

My strategy was mainly focused on magic damage, with the Ravenhood Warden providing armor for the whole team, thanks to the Protect ability.

So, my monsters would be protected against some attacks from Meeles and Ranges.

My opponent placed a tanker with the previously mentioned ability Void, which reduces the magic attack received on him, and two Magics, one Range and two Meeles that can attack the back lines.

The situation looked unfavorable for me after the first round, with one less monster on the field compared to my opponent. However, I had two monsters that gain life by dealing damage to the opponent, and this factor would prove to be decisive in the following rounds.

After the second round, the game seems to be reversed, with the advantage being on my side.

And so the battle closes, with the duo who possess the skill Life Leech being crucial to victory in this battle.

Considerations

When you cannot use legendaries, try to use substitutes, there are several other monsters that can fulfill their role well and deliver great results.

Sometimes you just need to look at the other Splinters available, and you will be able to create a similar strategy to the one you use when you have legendaries at your disposal.

In the example seen above, we saw Venari Bonesmith serving as a substitute for Doctor Blight, as both have the Poison ability.

In addition, the ability Life Leech can replace the Scavenger, since the monster that had it gains an amount of life equivalent to the damage caused on the opposing monster.

Introdução

Os monstros de raridade Lendária, são os mais cobiçados em Splinterlands. Isso se deve não só pela grande dificuldade em adquirí-los, mas também por serem os mais fortes do jogo, fazendo com que sejam decisivos em uma batalha.

Mas há situações em que não podemos utilizá-los, e uma delas é quando a regra de batalha Lost Legendaries se faz presente.

E nesta semana, chegou o momento de falarmos mais sobre ela, trazendo estratégias para jogar quando eles estão indisponíveis.

Como lidar com essa regra de batalha

O primeiro ponto que podemos observar, é que a maioria dos montros com custo maior ou igual a 10 de mana são lendários, então se enfrentarmos uma batalha com quantidade de mana elevada, uma parcela de mana poderá sobrar.

Dos 36 monstros com custo de mana superior ou igual a 10, apenas 9 não são lendários.

Para então suprir a falta deles, devemos tentar substituir com monstros que possuem habilidades semelhantes, assim não sentiremos tanta falta deles.

Por exemplo, em fogo não podemos utilizar o Grum Flameblade e nem o Caladuum, dois excelentes monstros com a habilidade de Void, excelente para segurar ataques mágicos.

No entanto, eles podem ser substituídos pelo Tusk the Wide ou pelo Pit Ogre. É inegável que as duas lendárias são superiores, mas ambos com certeza irão cumprir bem sua função.

Você também pode substiruir através de outros Splinters, como por exemplo o de Terra. Além de dois excelentes monstros que possuem tal habilidade, você pode utilizar o invocador Immortalis, ambas excelentes opções para segurar monstros mágicos.

Exemplo

Por sorte, as regras de batalha me favoreceram e fizeram com que eu conseguisse montar um bom time, mesmo sem poder utilizar lendários.
A começar pela quantidade de mana disponível, que era de apenas 24.

Além disso os invocadores não causavam efeito algum, não adicionando nem diminuindo atributos, por causa da regra de batalha Silenced Summoners.

E por fim, a regra Reverse Speed, que inverte a ordem dos ataques dos monstros.

Minha estratégia foi focada principalmente em dano mágico, com o Ravenhood Warden fornecendo armadura para todo o time, graças a habilidade Protect.

Assim, meus monstros estariam protegidos contra alguns ataques de Meeles e Ranges.

Meu oponente colocou um tanker com a habilidade já citada anteriormente Void, que reduz o ataque mágico recebido sobre ele, além de dois Mágicos, um Range e dois Meeles que atacam as back lines.

A situação pareceu desfavorável para mim após a primeira rodada, com um monstro a menos em campo em relação ao meu oponente. No entanto, eu havia dois monstros que ganham vida ao causar dano sobre o oponente, e esse fator mostraria ser decisivo nas rodadas seguintes.

Após a segunda rodada, o jogo parece que se inverteu, com a vantagem estando para o meu lado.

E assim a batalha se encerra, com o duo que possui a habilidade Life Leech sendo cruciais para a vitória nessa batalha.

Considerações

Quando não puder utilizar lendárias, tente procurar por substitutos, há diversos outros monstros que podem cumprir bem o papel deles e entregar ótimos resultados.

Às vezes, basta procurar nos outros Splinters disponíveis, que iremos conseguir criar uma estratégia semelhante a que usamos quando temos lendários a nossa disposição.

No exemplo visto acima, vimos que o Venari Bonesmith pode servir como substituto para o Doctor Blight, pois ambos possuem a habilidade de Poison.

Além disso, a habilidade Life Leech pode substituir o Scavenger, uma vez que o monstro que a possui ganha uma quantidade de vida equivalente ao dano causado sobre o montro adversário.
