Conversations, even unpleasant ones are good and healthy for chain growth, as long as they don't turn abusive as we've seen from some maniacs in the past
Of course, F2F is even better as so much can be lost in translation sometimes making things even worse. Sadly, that is not possible most of the time

Certainly it is important to have the conversation. I believe in 90% of time, if the individuals are normal, simple humans, like most of us are, it solves the problem easily.
