Steemfest day four market and market

Day four of SteemFest was a free day. My partner in crime at SteemFest suggested we go to the markets for some retail therapy. I'm not going to argue with that one. But before we head off, I had one very important errand to run, and that's the main reason for me coming to Steemfest 😊. Some of you may know that being a Brit, I like my tea very much.

Recently I ran out of my favourite teabags and they are like 4x more expensive in Taiwan. I sent out an SOS on the UK channel on Discord and @Slobberchops came to my rescue!!! You can read more about this in his post here. Afterwards, we and our partners in crime all went out for breakfast together.

Afrer breakfast, we parted our ways and us girls, me @elizacheng and @travelgirl went to the famous JJ Market. Coming from Sydney, everything seemed cheap for @travelgirl, whilst @elizacheng being a mum of three from Malaysia was looking for bargains that would be better than back home. And me? I was just tagging along for a girls day out, wasn't going on a spending spree. In the end we must have spent nearly five hours at the market. But to be fair, that included nearly an hour for the standard LROTT (let's rip off the tourist) lunch, so we weren't shopping all the time.

We left around 5.30pm for our next stop. There were no Grab available and we didn't want to catch a LROTT taxi so walkedacross to the shopping mall. When you have three bloggers together you end up with all sort of funny photos. I turned back to take a photo of the girls, and Eliza took a photo of me at the same time. When we looked at our photos @travelgirl was in both of our photos but one with her front and another with her back. It was so funny, hopefully @elizacheng will share her photo.

Our next stop was Ratachan market. This is similar to the night markets we have in Taiwan only the quality and design of the products are much better. First of all we needed some food. This type of bone soup seemed very popular here, all the stalls were selling them. We also ordered a plate of pork knuckle, that was tasty!

We walked three or four hours till our bags could hold no more shopping. Tiredness and hunger set in and the seafood looked so tempting. Supper seemed like a good idea. Sadly this was a LROTT supper. I reckon they just poured the sauce on top of the pre cooked shell fish. Some weren't even cooked properly as the inside was either cold or wouldn't open up 👎👎 Luckily the prawns were good.

By the time we got back to the hotel we were totalling shattered. I didn't buy much, or thought I didn't, but I dont think you can call this much shopping 😁
