Hello world and fellow Hivers

Today we are going to analyze one battle from my daily grind and I choose this battle because I found a very effective way to deal with the rule of Little League. Also, the initiative is the Social media Challenge from Splinterlands and our goal is to promote the game in a fun and instructive way and to bring more engagement to the game on the Hive platform!

I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words! If you are familiar with the game skip this part! So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain it to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn DEC (basically the crypto-coin of the game), the more you play and you are going up in the ladder, the more rewards you get (such as NFT-cards, etc). If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning DEC and grind for NFT cards and earn more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. I totally recommend starting your journey today and to help you with that we are going to review today one battle for my daily ranked games!

The Battle

Summoner Selection

I choose the summoner, Lorna Shine, from the Life Class because I think it fits perfectly in this matchup and it's a very good option in many situations! Also, you could use Tyrus Paladium or Mother Khala, Kiara Lightbringer. You should keep in mind that you can alter some choices with better ones if you have a larger collection! I am trying to show you one approach for a specific battle! As you would see further in the matchup, the main reason that Lorna is a perfect fit for this battle is that the Divine Shield ability is making a great combo with the ability Protect the gives +2 Armor to all of our monsters! The main reason for this approach is to give plenty of time for our DPS to deal the most damage to the opponent's formation!

Little League: Only Monsters and Summoners of 4 Mana or less are available for this battle.
Basic Strategy: The way we are going to deal with this rule is to focus the majority of our Attacks on the backline monsters of our opponent!

  • The first monster I used is Gargoya Scrapper, the reason is obviously to tank some hits and stall my opponent's attack! Also, I really like the Void to this monster!
  • The second monster I used is Silvershield Warrior one of my favorites because its stats are really good and in this situation can play the tank role!
  • The Third choice was Stitch Leech and I chose that monster for his Sneak ability.
  • Fourth pick was Elven Cutthroat and also its sneak ability
  • Fifth pick was Truthspeaker, the reason was the Protect ability that grants +2 Armor to all our monsters
  • My last pick was Feral Cat, also a favorite card of mine because its very high speed and sneak ability.
