SPLINTERLANDS - TALES FROM SILVER - SOUL STRANGLER

Hello world and fellow Hivers

As you all understood by now, today is Monday and we are going back to the routine but for me, things are going to change on Thursday because I am finally going to be on vacation! Things finally seem to go great for me. With that said I would like to introduce you to today's post about @splinterlands and another episode of Tales from Silver. The initiative for this post is the Share your Battle Challenge. The card that we are calling to highlight this week is Soul Strangler. Let's get to the action! Enjoy!

Review of the card

Soul Strangler is a great card, especially for low mana situations and I personally use it when I want to play the Death Class. The stats are simply so good for 3 Mana. The first major buff is coming at level 3 with the increase of 1 attack and the next one at level 6 again with one extra attack. Also at level 8, it gains the ability Poison.

• Fog of War: Monsters lose Sneak and Snipe ability
• Heavy Hitters: All monsters have the Knock out ability
• The mana cap was 27 and I only can play with Death Class

Teams' Formation

Strategy & Hints

So the basic rule that we are going to build around is the Fog of War, when you face this rule you know that there are limitations to the Meele monsters you can play and you don't need to place the cards in the right order for the snipe ability. So I decided to focus my damage output on the frontline of our opponent's formation. So to do that I chose mainly range and magic attack monsters.

Team presentation

The first monster I am going to use in our formation is one of the most loved card in the Splinterlands. The card is obviously Furious Chicken and the reason I used it is to tank the first hit. It's one of my favorite cards because it costs 0 mana.

The second card that I used in my formation was Undead Minotaur. This monster represents our tank for this battle. The stats of this card is pretty good and the thing that I like the most on this is the ability Double Strike. I know that's not too tanky but as you will see in a bit it did a pretty great job.

The third monster I used was Venari Bonesmith, one great monster when you use it the right way. This monster is a perfect fit for my formation because of the ability of Life Leech. This ability would help us a lot when our both frontlines are crushed, meaning that this card could survive some extra damage.

The fourth pick was Life Sapper. The reason I chose it was pretty much for the same reasons as my previous card. I decided to place the Life Sapper and the Venari Bonesmith in the third & fourth positions because they are Magic attack monsters and have the ability to attack when they are in the first position and because of their ability.

My fifth pick was the highlighted monster for this week, the Soul Strangler. It helped a lot in this battle with the 2 attacks each round! I believe that pretty much covered a lot of things about this monster previously. I really believe that 3 Mana is one of the best options for a damage dealer.

In the last place, I placed the card Dhampir Stalker. The reason I choose this range attack monster was his very good stats. This card with the Soul Strangler was the two damage dealers to my formation. Also, it has the ability True Strike, meaning that it cannot miss when he strikes.
