HANV Legendary Fire Archon

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog. A new conflicts airdrop card has just been announced in this post. It's a legendary Fire archon with Goblin and Undead bloodlines. Let's take a look at his stats and abilities and possible teams.


Lore

HANV was a Belurocian dark knight who saw the value of his goblin soldiers and thus earned their loyalty. He disliked the empire's cruelty and deserted with Craniax the Quick. The empire caught up with them and Craniax betrayed him in order to escape. Hanv was found by his loyal goblins and carried to Ahna-Chei, where the death speakers revived him as an undead knight. In exchange for their aid, HANV pledged service and was trained in necromancy.


Stats and Abilities

HANV is a legendary seven mana Fire archon. He grants the ability Deflect to all Undead and Goblins. He is also a tactics archon and gives Double Strike and Swiftness ability to one unit. Double Strike is a powerful offensive ability and when used with the right unit, can make it an offensive attacker. Swiftness affects all units by giving them an additional speed buff provided that the unit that has it continue to survive.


Possible Teams

HANV is a Fire archon with Goblin and Undead bloodlines. We'll be looking at possible teams in the Modern mode. Since he is a tactics archon that grants the Double Strike and Swiftness abilities to only one unit, we must choose the unit that he gives those abilities to. It must not be in the frontline that will be targeted first and it must have a lot of attack stats to maximize the power of Double Strike. One unit that immediately comes to mind is Rush Townsend.


Rush Townsend

Rush Townsend is a legendary Fire unit that boasts of offensive power. He deals five range damage and has Piercing and Ambush abilities. Giving him the Double Strike ability means he deals a possible ten range damage every round while also being able to attack before the start of the round and possibly eliminating one enemy unit even before the battle starts. Being placed in the back line means it will survive longer and the whole team can take advantage of the Swiftness ability for more rounds.

Another long range attacker that will be overpowered with Double Strike is Gramel the Hunger.


Gramel the Hunger

Gramel the Hunger is the first and only unit with triple attack. He deals two melee, range and magic damage and can hit from long range with the three attacks. Giving him Double Strike means he's dealing a total of twelve damage every round and can wreck the enemy team by himself. Having the Shapeshift ability means he will also have the Deflect ability making him immune to Thorns, Magic Reflect or Return Fire abilities.


Venka the Vile

A pure nuker, Venka the Vile deals seven melee damage and has the Piercing and Trample abilities making her damage chain to other units. Increasing her attack with Double Strike makes her damage potential even more fearsome. With Double Strike she can can eliminate multiple enemies in one round.


Desolation

As for the Undead bloodline, there's the dragon Desolation. It's a great unit in Earthquake ruleset having Flying and Wingbreak abilities. It's immune to Earthquake while dealing a lot of damage to enemy flying units. With Double Strike, its damage potential is more pronounced and can wreck enemy units.


Final Thoughts

HANV is another strong archon that will bring new strategies to Fire splinters as well as Goblins and Undead. His Double Strike ability is his best asset and brings more offensive threat to the team. His Swiftness ability helps the team not only on offense but also increases their chances to dodge the enemy's physical attacks. HANV is a welcome addition to the Fire splinter and will be a sought after airdrop card.
