Weekly battle mage secrets in Five Alive

Hello Splinterlands Summoners! This week's battle mage secrets is Five Alive. This ruleset is pretty simple: You are allowed only a maximum of five monsters instead of the usual six.

For this battle the rules are:

FiveAlive: Up to five units can be used
Counterspell: All monsters have the magic reflect ability
Max of 45 mana
Available splinters are Fire, Water, Magic, Death and Dragon.

In this battle, I picked the Water team since it has good high mana units that can fit in the maximum of 45 mana.

Here is my team composition:

Kelya summoner gives Shield and Speed to the team.

Diemonshark as main tank. He deals decent melee damage and has four speed. He also has six shield and nine hearts. At level five he has the trample and enrage abilities. This is a damage dealing tank indeed.

Flying Squid in the second tank position since he has the Reach ability. At level six he also has Blind which is useful against non-magic enemies. Similar to Diemonshark, it deals three melee damage and has four speed.

Nerissa Tridawn in third position. Although the ruleset has magic reflect, I chose this card due to the raw magic damage it deals. With four magic damage and ten hearts, it will kill a lot of enemies before it dies from the magic reflect.

Deeplurker comes next. I almost always use this card when I pick Water either in high or low mana battles. This card is simply that good. It deals four melee damage, has three speed and seven hearts. It has the Opportunity ability and at level 6 also has the Poison ability.

Swamp Spitter to complete the team. This is another card that I always use. It deals a lot of damage, has decent speed and offers support with his Shield ability. This card works well with Kelya.

My opponent also picked the Water Splinter and has a higher level summoner.
