Social Media Challenge | Fly or not to fly, that is the question?😅

Overview
Today I brought a Ranked battle, where only two Splitners will be availabel the Fire and the Eearh, so it will be a high chance for a mirror match. The rulesets are quite deadly and might end the beattle early for me if I am not really careful with that. 😊
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Stampede | Trample can trigger multiple times if the trampled unit is destroyed. |
| Target Practice | All ranged and magic units will have the Snipe ability. |
| Earthquake | All non-flying and snared units take two physical damage at the beginning of each round, starting with the second round. |
The mana cap for my next battle was only 56, which is quite good to build a suitable team around the rulesets. The Stampede ruleset is not big of a deal, because it will allow the Trample ability on a monster to activate infinitely as long as he or she kills its target. 😇
The Target Practice is a bit more dangerous, because what it means it that all the Ranged and Magic attack monsters will target the first non-melee enemy monster behind their first position monster. 😆
The most important ruleset will be the Earthquake, which means that all the monsters on the battlefield will take two damage at the beginning of their round (started from the second round) unless they are able to Fly. The Armor also helps to mitigate that damage as long as the monster has any. 😁

My lineup
![]() | I picked the Eternan Brute, because he will decrease two armor from all of the enemy monsters and I would be able to bring one additional Gladiator monster for this battle whom has the amazing Bloodlust ability. 😊 |
| The Ferox Defender is an excellent main-tank for this battle. His mana cost is eight, which is expensive in a less mana cap battle, but in exchange he has quite a lot of Health and Armor, which will help him a lot to take as much as damage possible from the enemy team. He also has the Protect ability, which will give +2 Armor to all of his friendly monsters as long as he is alive. 💪 | ![]() |
![]() | The Venari Marksrat is a must have in almost any battle, not because he is so powerful, but because he has the Martyr ability, so when he dies he will increase all the stats of the monsters adjacent to him. Luckily the Target Practice ruleset will make sure that he dies fairly quick, so he will be able to activate his ability to boost his team mates when he dies. 😌 |
| Chimney Wallstop is a real Gladiator monster and such he naturally has the Bloodlust ability just like the enemy Grum and Chimney. He also has amazing stats and the Reach ability as well, so he will be able to attack from the second position with that. He is a level 5 Gladiator monster, so he has the Repair ability on top of everything, which means that he will be able to restore some Armor to the most damaged friendly monster. 🤗 | ![]() |
![]() | The Firecaller is a very special monster, because first of all she is a damage dealer and she is a very good one and also has the Martyr ability, which means if she dies she will increase all the stats of her adjacent monsters by one just like my Venari Marksrat would do. 😎 |
| The Drybone Raider is a monster that is worth upgrading, because it will increase his Ranged attack to two, so it will be equal with his Melee attack. He has the Double Strike ability, which means that he is able to attack twice from the first position or in a battle, when the rulesets give him Sneak or the Opportunity ability. 🤗 | ![]() |
![]() | The Lava Launcher is one of the reason I brought the Fire Splinter, because even though he is expensive with his 9 mana, he is just too perfect for this battle. He has quite a lot of Ranged attack damage and huge amount of Armor, so it works everywhere at the front or even in my backline. The other reason is his Close Range ability, because he would be able to attack from the first position if it comes to that. 😊 |

The Battle

My opponent brought the Eternan Brune who is also a Fire Summoner and he wanted to take advantage the fact that he is also removes two Armor from my monsters. The option to bring an additional Gladiator monster is also a good trait on him. 😅
In the first round my Lava Launcher quickly killed their Venari Marksrat, which buffed up their Grum and Chimney a little bit. Soon after my team killed their Firecaller as well whom increased the stats of his nearby monsters. 😒
All of my monsters with the Snipe ability started targeting their Gelationous Cube whom had quite a lot of Health.
At the beginning of the second round the Earthquake damaged all the mosnters on the battlefield, because none of them were Flying and it also killed my Marksrat as well.
Luckily my team had more than enough damage to kill their Cube, so they were able to focus their tank at last. 😁
In the third round right after the start the Earthquake killed my Firecaller and damage the rest of the monsters by two again.
My Chimney had eight Melee attack already, so he started the third round and killed their Grum with only one lethal blow, which increased all of his stats by one. 🤗
Right before the third round finished my team was able to kill their Chimney, which was a huge relief, because their highest threat was eliminated.
Only their Ferox Defender left in the enemy team who also killed my Ferox Defender as my main tank, but it was not enough to turn the tide and my team managed to get the Victory for me. 😎

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to try to take advantage of the Armors on my monsters and try to sustain more damage than my opponent monsters. It is important the positions of the monsters on the battlefield to get the best result of the Martyr ability whenever the die, which worked pretty well. My opponent followed a similar strategy, but he positioned his monsters worse than me, so my team was able to get the win out of this battle. 😇
