This week I brought a Brawl battle, where it is quite important to win this battle, because it will be more rewards at the end of the whole Guild battles if my Guild is able to win a lot of battles. The rewards would be SPS and Merits, so everyone will be able to get some nice Gladius packs, which contains free Gladiator monsters. 😇

RulesetDescription
Aim TrueAll units gain the True Strike ability.
High FiveYou can summon maximum of five units.

The mana cap was 99, which is always been my favorite, because their will be no restrictions what kind of monsters to choose and the only barrier will be the rulesets. Luckily in this abttle the rulesets are not too bad, so I will be able to use some heavy hitters. 😊

The Aim True ruleset will give the True Strike ability to all of the monsters on the battlefield, which means that all of the Melee and Ranged attack monsters would be able to hit their target at all times.

The High Five ruleset is an easy one and doesn't need too much explanation, because it will only allow only five monsters to be summoned instead of the six, so it will be a bit more important to pick the right monsters for this battle. 🤗

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Possibilus the Wise

image.png

Possibilus the Wise cost six mana, which usually is not cheap, but in this battle it is okay. He has amazing traits, because it will increase the Health of all of his friendly monsters by two. He also gives the Reach ability to them as well, which means that the Melee monster in the second position will be able to attack from there. His third trait is to give the Trample ability to his monsters, which means if a Melee attack monster manage to kill their target they will get a free attack to the monster behind them. 😌

Main Tank
Commander Slade
image.png

Commander Slade became a very strong and resilient as a tank, because he has quite a lot of Melee attack and also very high Speed and the Dodge ability, which will allow him to get +25% chance to dodge more incoming Melee and Ranged attacks. On top of that he has a lot of Armor and Health, which will help him to sustain quite a lot of damage. He cost 10 mana, which is crazy expensive, but the mana cap was good to be able to bring him as my tank. He also has the Enfeeble ability, which means that he will reduce his target Melee attack by one with each of his succesfull attack. 😉

The Main Melee Damage Dealer
Coastal Sentry
image.png

The Coastal Sentry is expensive, because she cost 10 mana as well just like my Slade. She has +3 Melee attack damage, which wouldn't be so high on its own, but she also has the Double Strike ability, which means that she will be able to attack twice in every round. Luckily the Reach ability from her Summoner will help her a lot, because it will allow her to attack from the second position with the provided Reach ability and that is why she is my main damage dealer. 💪

The Magic Damage Dealer
Nerissa Tridawn
image.png

Nerissa Tridawn cost nine mana, which is huge, but luckily I do not need to worry about it in this battle. She has +3 Magic attack damage, whiuch is nice, but her main power (at least in this battle) is her huge Health, which will help her to sustain quite a lot of incoming damage, when it comes to that. 😜

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Ranged Damage Dealer
Edith Emberstar
image.png

Edith Emberstar cost eight mana and she is a Ranged attack damage dealer and she is a very good one as well. She has +5 Ranged attack damage and as a Gladiator monster she has the Bloodlust ability, which means if she manages to kill her target she will increase all of her stats by one. 😁

Mage, but Ranged?
Chaos Battle Mage
image.png

The Chaos Battle Mage is a Ranged attack damage dealer even thoug his name suggest otherwise. He has +3 Ranged attack, which is nice and it is topped up with his Piercing ability, so whenever he attacks his target and his target has Armor he will be able to use his full damage to go through their Armor if their is any left. This is especially good if his enemy has very little Armor and he will be able to utilise his full damage instead of wasting it. 🙂

My opponent brought Stishpa who is a Dragon Summoner and her ability is to give the Phase to all of her friendly monsters, which means that they would be able to use their Speed and Dodge abilites against the enemy Magic attacks as well. 😊

In the first round both of our tanks suffered heavy damages, because the high mana cap allowed the use of insane damage dealers. The enemy tank who is super strong by the way fell into only one Health, and even my Slade lost almost all of his Health as well.

In the second round my team was a bit quicker than my opponent, so they quickly killed their Dragon main tank followed by heavy damages against their off-tank. The Speed difference meant a lot, because most of my monsters were attacking quicker than my opponnent monsters, which meant a huge advantage over them. 😉

Right before the second round finished I have lost my tank and even my Coastal Sentry as my main damage dealer, so both teams were equal in numbers again.

In the third round my team killed their Adelade and luckily my Nerissa had quite a lot of Health to withstand the enemy attacks even though she is a Magic attack damage dealer.

In the fourth and fifth round the rest of my team systematically killed all of their monster and Nerissa was able to soak up all of the enemy damages without her leaving the battlefield. This strategy allowed me to win this battle and that is why I love to play in high mana cap battles. 🤗
