HEALTHY MONSTERS OF THE SEA (BATTLE MAGE SECRETS - Equalizer)

Battle Mage Secrets are hidden inside the rulesets for battles, one has to think deeper to find out the treasure of strategies and win battles for bounties and goodies.

Players who adopt the finest of strategies know how to trap their opponents and win battles.

This week we are testing Equalizer ruleset and see how hard is to defeat the opponent when this ruleset comes to the battle.

EQUALIZER

When this ruleset comes into effect in any battle, all monsters receive health equal to the monster with the highest health, that monster can be from any side.

Suppose, if a monster has the highest health with 10 points, then the health of every monster from both sides will be 10 points. This makes the battle a bit difficult as even the lowest health monster becomes stronger and poses a formidable threat.

Additional Ruleset: Unprotected

Unprotected ruleset removes armor from all monsters and their health becomes exposed to any type of damage. Monsters' abilities and summoners' buffs that add extra armor in the battle become useless and do not give any armor as well.

BATTLE LINEUP

I have carefully selected 1 Taunt monster, 2 finest melee units, 2 best tank healers, and 1 neutral unit to spit slime on the enemies.

Following list includes all the summoners and monsters from both sides:

STRATEGY

I have used 2 heavy-hitting melee attackers against the opponent's units while 1 ranged Taunt monster is used to receive as much damage as he can in each round because I have supported him with tank heal monsters to stay in the game.

My legendary summoner allows 2nd melee monsters to attack 1st enemy unit in the lineup, this way it will be easy to decimate the enemy tank with additional melee damage. I have also countered the enemy summoner's Speed buff by using a monster with Slow ability.

Summoner and Monsters in Action

Possibilus the Wise is a legendary Water summoner, he can give all allied units +2 health points, Reach, and Trample ability. Any melee monster in 2nd position can attack the enemy unit in the first position and additionally, if any monster kills an enemy unit it can attack again to the adjacent monster using Trample ability.

Wave Brood is used as a tank monster, he has Taunt ability so all monsters will attack him unless any of them has Scattershot ability. He is used to consuming all the attacks and is supported by 2 Tank Heal monsters.

Sea Monster is placed in 2nd position and he has whooping 4 damage points, if kills a monster he can do another 4 damage to the next monster coming to first position using Trample.

Deeplurker is enjoying 3rd place in the battle lineup, he will attack the lowest health monster because of his Opportunity ability, but since the ruleset is equalizer the only monster having the lowest health is the tank monster. So, he will always attack the monster in the 1st position.

Crustacean King is taking 4th position and he uses his Tank Heal ability to restore some health of the monster in 1st position.

Merdaali Guardian sits in the 5th position and she is also a healer and healing the lost health of the monster in the 1st position.

Creeping Ooze in the last place is used for reducing enemy monsters' Speed and also serves as bait for sneak monsters.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

A tiring battle starts afresh and all monsters feel super healthy as the battlefield is enchanted with Equalizer magic.

Round 1
Kelya Frendul enhances his monsters Speed by +1 point but he cannot bestow Armor because of the restriction set by the ruleset.

Possibilus the Wise grants +2 health to all friendly monsters, then adds Reach and Trample abilities to their battle traits. Kelya's Speed buff is countered by Creeping Ooze as he slows down all enemy units.

Rounds 1 to 5
The balance of power remains unchanged as Serpent of Eld is evading most of the attacks and gets healing every turn, while Wave Brood only depends on the healing every round and stands undaunted.

Round 6
"Haha, even though I am dying, what comes after me is unimaginable. guffaws the Wave Brood and dies like a hero.

Round 7
"Damn you Serpent of Eld, you are the most annoying monster I have ever encountered in my life." Deeplurker takes a deep breath and continues "But, not for long, let me take you to the very depth of the sea."

Finally, Serpent dies exploding his lungs after he was pushed into a brackish water pocket.

Rounds 8 to 10
It's time for Flying Squid to be torn by Sea Monster and Deeplurker, he knows the end is already getting closer, he loses all his tentacles, and then Deeplurker chews his head to get more intelligent.

Rounds 11 to 13
"Deeplurker, let me send you to your grandparents, they'll be happy to see you in hell." Sea Monster orders friendly Deeplurker to finish him and put him in the storage for dinner.

Rounds 14 to 16
"Look at this smelly rat, pretty useless, foolish Kelya who puts him in this battle." says Crustacean King in a proud posture.

Deeplurker swallows Hireling whole and spits his clothes out after digesting his remains.

Rounds 17 and 19
Deeplurker smiles and threats fish-looking mermaid "Your tiny healing has wasted our big time, now you must die, cutie-pie."

Without any delay, the beautiful fishy is consumed by Deeplurker and there is only one little cutie to dispatch.

Rounds 20 to 21
Tiny Ice Pixie is flying here and there, but there is no way she can escape from the circle of battle-hungry monsters.

She gives up and surrenders, but Deeplurker has sworn to finish every one of the enemy's units.

STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS

Extra health points and reach ability helped my team to remove Serpent of Eld, he was a tough guy due to his evasion skill. Taunt Monster also bought me a good time to remove Serpent, thanks to tank healers who made it impossible for the enemy monsters to defeat my team.

My strategy was good to keep the enemy busy with Taunt monster while my backline monster can rip the enemy lines one by one. Although, Wave Brood died I had more power Sea Monster who could stand on his own using Heal.

The opponent was using 1 Opportunity monster who could only attack the lowest health monster, the reason for this setup was Equalizer ruleset, if my opponent had Sneak monster then he may have done good damage, but this was not the case. Using Creeping Ooze was a good decision as he was able to remove the additional speed given by Kelya Frendul.

I am happy with this strategy and I'll use it in similar types of battles, but I'll also try to replace Wave Brood with Djinn Oshanus or Deimonshark to see how well they work in the battle.

The strategy worked well and I won the battle losing 1 monster only, a lot of healing means your tank stays healthy and fit to crush enemy units 1 by 1.
