OPENING 10 RIFTWATCHERS PACKS + EPIC BATTLE WITH NEW CARDS

Splinterlands is getting bigger and better with amazing new updates. After the launch of Riftwatchers gem packs, the Modern format has gained more popularity as the new cards just enter the market.

As expected, Riftwatchers cards are damn powerful and come with high mana cost, the intention is to use them in high mana battles obviously, but players can create strategies to make them even useable in low mana cost battles.

There are always advantages and disadvantages of having high mana cost cards, as using them also restricts a player to end up using fewer cards per round, but if the deck has some support card placed into it, the win results can be improved.

RIFTWATCHERS PACKS

Well, it is always about investing in good fortune and Riftwatchers announcement made me decide to dive into it for having some of the packs during the presale event. I had been saving my HBD since the day of the announcement by the Splinterlands team that I earned through my blogging activities by writing Splinterlands content on the HIVE blockchain.

Finally, the Day of the packs' sale came and within 2 minutes the presale packs had been bought by the players. I think it was the fastest presale in the history of blockchain games.

I bought 10 lovely Riftwatchers packs by spending around $50 plus vouchers. Like all the investors, I was thinking of getting a nice return on my investment in those packs. I checked the value of my Riftwatcher cards on Peakmonsters.com and their cumulative price came up around $91, but I assume that the prices of the cards may drop or increase depending on the supply and demand cycle.

10 PACKS OPENENING

I have made a short video where you'll see what I've got in each pack after opening it. So, without any more wait let's move to the video section.

I hope you guys have enjoyed the video and loved the cards I've received so far. I'd thought of buying 10 more packs to get 2 legendary cards at least, but it's all about money in the wallet. No worries we still have another Riftwatchers sale event soon or maybe I buy from the ongoing regular sale once I'll have enough funds.

RIFTWATCHRS CARD IN ELEMENTAL ORDER

Here I show you all the cards in elemental order to give you a broad look at these cards I've received from the packs.

FIRE SPLINTER

I've got a total of 8 cards in Fire section including 1 Epic Summoner Skargore with Rage ability. 2 monsters with Stun ability are also a nice addition

WATER SPLINTER

Here, I've got 10 cards, the similar cards will help me level them up after getting more of them from the upcoming sale. Again another nice magic attack monster "Water Caller" has a Stun ability and then there is one Epic summoner Aquatus with Backfire ability.

EARTH SPLINTER

I've got nice 7 Earth cards with 2 identical cards among them. I like Fernheart the summoner since he possesses 2 amazing abilities '+1 Health & Close Range', now it is very easy to place any ranged monster at 1st position like magic attackers.

Uloth Dhampir with Stun ability seems a nice ranged unit, Suidae Shaman can do a lot of magic damage and might kill low-health monsters with a single hit.

LIFE SPLINTER

5 Life cards with 2 identical cards in this section, here I've got just 1 rare and 2 common monsters. Runeslinger with Stun ability looks like a nice card for backline placement, it has 4 Speed to evade some attacks.

Gold Cards

These are the only 2 Life gold cards I've received so far from the packs. Ilthan is a level 2 epic Summoner with '+1 Speed and Return Fire' abilities, this card can make your team evade some melee and ranged attacks and if any ranged monster misses the hit, it will return the damage to the attacker.

DEATH SPLINTER

I've got 6 Death cards, 5 of them turned out to be identical cards. I like Night Ghoul with Taunt ability, it can be the best fit in high mana cost battles, it has 4 melee Attack, which can be quite lethal for opponents.

Cabalist with Amplify is the real deal here, I used him as a support to Cursed Windeku and the results were really awesome, the Thorn damage went wild with Amplify.

DRAGON SPLINTER

There is no joy to express when receiving a legendary Dragon unit, I've got 7 cards and one of them is legendary.

Agor Longtail is a king of monsters, it has 3 abilities at level 1 those are Flying, Taunt, and Void Armor, the high mana cost justifies its powerful size and he can do wonders if supported properly in a battle.

Runi Skyclaw is a rare monster and its speed and Flying can evade any ranged and melee attack with high probability in a battle.

NEUTRAL MONSTERS

Here I've only got 2 Rune Crafter cards and 4 Junker cards and both are common monsters. Although Rune Crafter comes with a new ability called Fury which does double damage to monsters with Taunt ability.

USING AGOR LONGTAIL IN BATTLE

It's great to try out newly received cards from Riftwatchers, so I just went up ahead and used Agor Longtail and Water Caller in an epic battle. Within 4 rounds, all the opponent monsters were cleared off from the deck. Here is the video of that battle, let's watch it more closely.

You'll see how nicely Igor Longtail evades melee and ranged attacks, while Water Caller stuns the tank unit at the first position and make it easier for Igor to quickly send them back to the eternal world. If you like to review the battle in Splinterlands click hereto visit the game.
