SNEAKY SNAKE DRONES! SILENT SHA-VI (Weekly Battle Challenge)

Death units spread across and beneath the region of Splinterlands, some live in the cursed graveyards, some come from the spooky forests, and some hide in the shadow realm. When death units gather for a battle, they know nothing but to turn their foes into rotting corpses.

Silent Sha-vi is bringing fear and havoc in this week's battle challenge, first of all, we look into its specification, and then we'll move to the battle part.

LORE

The horned snake known as Silent Sha-vi lives in the shadow realm hidden from the world above, when he leaves the darkness he shapes himself in the form of a horned viper. Folks say that he moves in the darkest hours and lurks under the shelter of a bed. When he bites his prey, the death is not immediate, but it comes with feat and pain as he devours.

Now, see how sharp their fangs are, a little prick can inject a lethal venom into veins.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

	Sneak ability is available by default from level 1.
	Card upgraded to level 6 gets 'Cripple' ability, that reduces 1 max health with each hit.
	'Piercing' ability activates at level 10.

BATTLE LINEUP

The battle is against a group of fire units, their lineup is impressive, have a look at the image:

STRATEGY
Looking at the opponent's previous battles, I felt like using a melee attack team, therefore I chose to go with an all-melee team with 3 of them having 'Sneak' ability.

Thaddius Brood helped me level the opponent units' health because Tarsa gave them +1 health, and Tarsa's +1 attack to her team could be a game-changer, but thanks to Uraeus's armor for holding Tenyii Striker's attack for one turn.

Ever-Hungry Skull's heavy armor and flying ability proved to be the game-changer, as he missed some attacks and kept damaging Living Lava.

Silent Sha-vi did a wonderful job, he not only removed the backline but also helped kill Living Lava, who had a shield and was immune to melee attacks having 1 power.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

This is a 5-rounds battle, where 3 sneak monsters are trying to sweep the backline units, so without any further delay let's jump on to commentary.

Round 1
Thaddius Brood successfully negates the health enhancement magic of Tarsa, but Tarsa manages to sharpen the blades of her allies, which gives them extra attack power.

Serpentine Spy can slice the badger into two halves, but he thinks beating a cracked skull would make him a king, meanwhile, 3 death drones (Silent Sha-vi, Undead Badger, and Uraeus) severely bite Tenyii Stiker, and the venom from the bites swells Striker face like a blown balloon.

"ha-ha-ha sss-crrrisss-hiss ha-ha, Tenyii, even your mother can't recognize you now." Sha-vi shouts and laughs.

Round 2
Sha-vi makes a flight from the tree and pierces his fangs into Tenyii's neck, another dose of venom makes Tenyii swollen like a drowned pig, Kaboom, the battlefield is filled with blood and flesh.

Serpentine Spy tries to hide, but Undead Badger is quick enough to slit his throat with his dearly manicured claws.

Living Lava spews ash and molten lava "Aargghh, I'll make your grave living hell, you rotten piece of crap and bones." and attacks Ever-Hungry Skull and slightly burns down his armor.

Round 3
Uraeus and Badger desperately attack Living Lava but cannot even make a small dent in his fiery posture. Somehow Skull and Sha-vi damage him a little bit.

Round 4
"Look Sha-vi, my armor can turn into ashes anytime, you are the only hope, now is the time to use your pointy little horns, go for Lava's eyes, so he cannot see, this is the only way to defeat him." Ever-Hungry Skull tells Sha-vi.

"Worry not my wise Skull, he will suffer a painful death.", and Sha-vi takes the form of a pitchfork, makes a speedy leap toward Lava's eyes, and successfully gouges his eyes.

Round 5
Living Lava is completely blind, and he is trembling and stumbling here and there.

Sha-vi jumps to lava and sprays venomous fluid into his eye sockets,
"Wise Skull, see! the spray makes him turn into a rock, now smash him to pieces, hurry up!"

Ever-Hungry Skull whirls into the air and violently strikes Lava's head smashing him into millions of pebbles.

REMARKS ON SILENT SHA-VI CARD

I had used a level 1 Silent Sha-vi card, but the way it performed in the battle made him a highly influential unit. It is wise to use him as a mid-order unit in the battle for better chances of survival.

He has a medium attack at low levels, which means this card can easily remove low health units. The card has a good amount of health to survive some fierce fighting, but if this card is buffed with a shield, which might give him more chances to remain in the battle for longer.

Conclusion: Silent Sha-vi is a good fit for 20+ mana battles, because of its 'Sneak' ability, the unit will only attack the last unit in the opponent's battle lines. But, if this card is maxed to its highest level, then it will have more damage and two additional abilities to take benefit from.
