SPLINTERLANDS BASICS: SUMMONERS & MONSTERS LEVEL CAP FOR RANKED BATTLES IN LEAGUES

Ranked battles in Splinterlands have certain rules and restrictions according to the league in which a player is currently fighting the battles. Each league imposes a limit on levels of summoners to be used in battles based on their rarity.

If you are in a Bronze League having level 4 or 5 summoners, the league mechanism will automatically determine the required level of a summoner based on its rarity, it could be level 1, 2, or 3 but not higher than that.

Monsters of higher level will follow the summoner's level and their level will be determined based on the summoner's level and rarity. Therefore, the game has created rules for summoners to be used in each league.

We will learn about summoners' levels in each league and how it affects monster limit in a ranked battle.

Before proceeding further, it is to note that Summoner Level Limits are based on leagues and both Wild and Modern modes have the same level limits.

Novice League

In Novice league, a player can use only level 1 summoners and monsters regardless of how higher the card levels are.

Bronze League

Bronze League allows a player to use some higher-level summoners. As shown in the image, the common summoner has a max level of 3, the rare summoner is capped at level 2, the epic summoner is also capped at level 2, and the legendary summoner remains at level 1.

Silver League

Players can enjoy much higher-level summoners and monsters in Silver League. Now, a player can use a level 5 common summoner, level 4 rare summoner, level 3 epic summoner, and level 2 legendary summoner.

Gold League

Gold league allows a player to use much higher-level summoners and monsters. Now, a player can use a level 8 common summoner, level 6 rare summoner, level 5 epic summoner, and level 3 legendary summoner.

Diamond League

There is no level cap in Diamond League, a player can use any level of summoner and monsters. This is a very challenging league and requires the best of the strategies and max-level cards. Although, if you play with max-level summoners, only then you can use max-level monsters.

Summoner Level 9 Common and Level 7 Rare

Champion League

Champion League follows similar rules as of Diamond League, but it has better chances of finding legendary and gold foil cards and much higher SPS rewards. This league is only for highly skilled players who possess the best cards.

You must know that all common cards have a max level of 10, all rare cards have a max level of 8, all epic cards have a max level of 6, and all legendary cards have a max level of 4.

If you are using a low-level summoner in a high-level league, then the level of your monsters will be determined according to the summoner's level as in the previous league.
