Greetings to all digital art lovers! I'm Lorentm, a passionate digital artist, and I'm excited to share my latest creation with you. This week, I decided to participate again in the Splinterlands art contest, and I've taken my creativity to a new level by merging two very different worlds: Splinterlands and The Simpsons.

My artwork in question is a fan art of the character "Ettin Spearman" from Splinterlands, but with a very unique twist. Inspired by the iconic Barney from The Simpsons, I have recreated the Ettin Spearman in the purest Springfield yellow style.

For those unfamiliar with the Ettin, they are a tribe of mutated primitives from the burning lands in Splinterlands. Many of them have two heads and possess monstrous strength. This duality is what attracted me and inspired me for this creation.

In my drawing, you will see an Ettin in the foreground, with one of his heads looking longingly at an empty bottle of beer, while the other head looks askance at him, as if they are having an internal discussion about their next drink! The duality and personality of The Simpsons characters are uniquely intertwined with the essence of the Ettin.

But it's not just the Ettin that brings this play to life. In the background, you will see a desert community, filled with rustic structures and buildings made of rocks stacked on top of each other. This is the Ettin homeland, and I wanted to capture their environment in a way that makes it even more fascinating.

I love experimenting with different styles and merging worlds, and this Splinterlands fan art in The Simpsons universe has been a real pleasure to make. Mi obra de arte en cuestión es un fan art del personaje "Ettin Spearman" de Splinterlands, pero con un giro muy particular. Inspirándome en el icónico Barney de Los Simpsons, he recreado al Ettin Spearman al más puro estilo amarillo de Springfield.

Para quienes no estén familiarizados con los Ettin, son una tribu de primitivos mutados de las tierras ardientes en Splinterlands. Muchos de ellos tienen dos cabezas y poseen una fuerza monstruosa. Esta dualidad es lo que me atrajo y me inspiró para esta creación.

En mi dibujo, podrán apreciar un Ettin en primer plano, con una de sus cabezas mirando con añoranza una botella vacía de cerveza, mientras la otra cabeza lo observa con recelo, ¡como si estuvieran teniendo una discusión interna sobre su próxima bebida! La dualidad y la personalidad de los personajes de Los Simpsons se entrelazan de manera única con la esencia de los Ettin.

Pero no es solo el Ettin lo que hace que esta obra cobre vida. En el fondo, podrán ver una comunidad desértica, repleta de estructuras y edificaciones rústicas hechas de rocas apiladas unas sobre otras. Esta es la tierra natal de los Ettin, y he querido capturar su entorno de una manera que lo haga aún más fascinante.

Espero que disfruten tanto como yo al ver esta creación. The Ettin are a tribe of mutated primitives in the Burning Lands. Many of them have two heads, an extra limb or an inexplicable tail, but they are all freakishly strong. They dig holes for fun, and they communicate with a completely indecipherable series of grunts and moans. Burning Lands scholars are not even sure that the Ettin understand each other. The Ettin are very observant however of when they are being made fun of or ridiculed for their idiocy. They are a sensitive people..

Los Ettin son una tribu de primitivos mutados de las Tierras Ardientes. Muchos de ellos tienen dos cabezas, una extremidad extra o una cola inexplicable, pero todos son monstruosamente fuertes. Cavan agujeros para divertirse y se comunican con una serie de gruñidos y gemidos totalmente indescifrables. Los eruditos de las Tierras Ardientes ni siquiera están seguros de que los Ettin se entiendan entre sí. Process / Proceso

The creative journey began with a quick sketch on my graphic tablet. I wanted to capture the essence of the Ettin's and their duality, so I began by tracing the character's two heads in the foreground. As I drew, I made sure that one head was looking at the beer bottle longingly, while the other head was eyeing it warily. This composition was essential to tell the story I wanted to convey.

After getting a sketch that I was happy with, I moved on to the outlining. I used clean, sharp strokes to shape the contours of the Ettin and the details of her facial expression. Outlining helped me define the features and give the scene more clarity.

Once the drawing was well outlined, I proceeded to coloring. In keeping with the Simpsons style, I opted for vibrant, flat colors, using shades of orange and other colors characteristic of the series. I painted each part of the Ettin carefully, making sure that the two heads had a unique personality through color.

Then, it was time to apply the shadows and highlights. To create depth and realism in the image, I added soft shadows in the areas where the light didn't reach directly, such as under the heads and around the beer bottle. The glows in the eyes and on the bottle added a touch of life and realism, making the characters and the environment glow.

It was an exciting process, merging two such different worlds into a single image. Every step, from the initial sketch to the final shadows and glows, helped bring my artwork to life and tell the story of this quirky Ettin in the world of The Simpsons.

El viaje creativo comenzó con un boceto ágil en mi tableta gráfica. Quería capturar la esencia de los Ettin y su dualidad, así que comencé trazando las dos cabezas del personaje en primer plano. Mientras dibujaba, me aseguré de que una cabeza estuviera mirando la botella de cerveza con añoranza, mientras que la otra cabeza la observaba con recelo. Esta composición fue esencial para contar la historia que quería transmitir.

Después de obtener un boceto que me satisface, pasé al delineado. Utilicé trazos limpios y definidos para dar forma a los contornos del Ettin y los detalles de su expresión facial. Delinear me ayudó a definir las características y a darle más claridad a la escena.

Una vez que el dibujo estuvo bien delineado, procedí al coloreado. Para mantener el estilo de Los Simpsons, opté por colores vibrantes y planos, utilizando tonos de naranjas y otros colores característicos de la serie. Pinté cada parte del Ettin cuidadosamente, asegurándome de que las dos cabezas tuvieran una personalidad única a través del color.

Luego, llegó el momento de aplicar las sombras y los brillos. Para crear profundidad y realismo en la imagen, añadí sombras suaves en las áreas donde la luz no llegaba directamente, como debajo de las cabezas y alrededor de la botella de cerveza. Los brillos en los ojos y en la botella añadieron un toque de vida y realismo, haciendo que los personajes y el entorno resplandecieran.

Fue un proceso emocionante, fusionando dos mundos tan diferentes en una única imagen. Cada paso, desde el boceto inicial hasta las sombras y brillos finales, contribuyó a dar vida a mi obra de arte y contar la historia de este peculiar Ettin en el mundo de Los Simpsons.
