I'm Lorentm, a passionate digital artist, and today I want to share with you my exciting experience of participating once again in the social media section that Splinterlands does every week. This time, I decided to embark on a project that has sparked my creativity in unimaginable ways: creating the character "Jared Scar" in the Simpsons style!

Jared Scar is a truly unique and fascinating being. His story goes back three hundred years, to a world where the unusual becomes the extraordinary. His mother, an Ulund from a wealthy family, lived a luxurious life, oblivious to the dark secrets that lurked in the shadows. One night, her destiny changed irreversibly when she met Jared's father, unaware that he was a vampire. What followed was a night of passion that left an indelible mark.

Eight months later, Jared was born. Imagine his mother's surprise and horror at the sight of the child. Jared's blood and peculiarity were undeniable, and quickly, fear overcame her. She could not comprehend what she had begotten and, in desperation, set out to get rid of him.

This story is a fascinating journey of self-discovery and acceptance, where Jared Scar faces a world that rejects him and judges him for his uniqueness. But his story does not end here. My art project seeks to explore his evolution, his struggles and triumphs over the centuries, all captured in the iconic Simpsons style.

I am excited for this new challenge and invite you to join me on this journey of artistic expression. Through each stroke and color, I want to convey the beauty of diversity and the importance of accepting those who are different. I hope you enjoy this creative journey as much as I do!

Jared Scar was born three hundred years ago, in a small town in Praetoria. His mother was a wealthy Ulund and lived a lavish lifestyle, coveting things that either others couldn’t afford or that shouldn’t be possessed. Her reckless life led to a number of encounters with undesirable characters, like Jared’s father. She had no idea he was a vampire when they spent that night together. She never heard from him again after that night, and then eight months later she gave birth to Jared.

Jared Scar nació hace trescientos años, en una pequeña ciudad de Praetoria. Su madre era una rica Ulund y llevaba un estilo de vida fastuoso, codiciando cosas que otros no podían permitirse o que no debían poseer. Su vida imprudente la llevó a varios encuentros con personajes indeseables, como el padre de Jared. No tenía ni idea de que era un vampiro cuando pasaron aquella noche juntos. No volvió a saber nada de él después de aquella noche, y ocho meses más tarde dio a luz a Jared.

The process of creating my Simpsons-style digital drawing of Jared Scar was an exciting creative journey that involved several essential steps to bring this unique character to life. Let me share with you the details of this process:

Starting with the Sketch:
Before diving into the creation, I made a pencil sketch on my graphics tablet. This initial sketch helped me establish the pose and overall composition of the character. It was the starting point that allowed me to visualize what Jared would look like in the Simpsons world.

Outlining and Contours:
Once satisfied with the sketch, I proceeded to create the character's outlines and defining lines. Using digital drawing tools, I carefully traced Jared's shapes and details, making sure to capture his Simpsonian essence while maintaining his uniqueness.

Coloring Life:
The next step was the coloring phase. Here, I was guided by the reference's own color palette. I filled in each section of the drawing with the appropriate colors, paying special attention to the tones and shades to bring Jared to life in this iconic aesthetic.

Application of Shadows and Sparkles:
To give depth and realism to my creation, I added shadows and sparkles. The shadows were applied strategically in the areas where the light does not hit directly, creating a three-dimensional effect. The shimmers added that final touch of vibrancy, highlighting key areas and adding a special sparkle to the eyes and other highlights.

Each of these steps was critical to achieving the end result I wanted: a portrait of Jared Scar that perfectly merged his unique story with the yellow, animated world of the Simpsons. This project was a reminder of how digital art allows for creative freedom and the ability to bring characters and narratives to life in amazing ways. El proceso de creación de mi dibujo digital de Jared Scar al estilo de los Simpsons fue un emocionante viaje creativo que involucró varios pasos esenciales para dar vida a este personaje único. Permítanme compartirles los detalles de este proceso:

Comenzando con el Boceto:
Antes de sumergirme en la creación, realicé un boceto a lápiz en mi tableta gráfica. Este boceto inicial me ayudó a establecer la postura y la composición general del personaje. Fue el punto de partida que me permitió visualizar cómo se vería Jared en el mundo de los Simpsons.

Delineado y Contornos:
Una vez satisfecha con el boceto, procedí a crear los contornos y líneas definitorias del personaje. Usando herramientas digitales de dibujo, tracé cuidadosamente las formas y los detalles de Jared, asegurándome de capturar su esencia simpsoniana mientras mantenía su singularidad.

Coloreando la Vida:
El siguiente paso fue la fase de coloreado. Aquí, me guíe en la paleta de colores propias de la referencia . Rellené cada sección del dibujo con los colores apropiados, prestando especial atención a los tonos y matices para que Jared cobrara vida en esta icónica estética.

Aplicación de Sombras y Destellos:
Para dar profundidad y realismo a mi creación, añadí sombras y brillos. Las sombras se aplicaron estratégicamente en las áreas donde la luz no incide directamente, creando un efecto tridimensional. Los brillos aportaron ese toque final de vitalidad, resaltando áreas clave y añadiendo un brillo especial a los ojos y otros elementos destacados.

Cada uno de estos pasos fue fundamental para lograr el resultado final que quería: un retrato de Jared Scar que fusionaba perfectamente su historia única con el mundo amarillo y animado de los Simpsons. Este proyecto fue un recordatorio de cómo el arte digital permite la libertad creativa y la posibilidad de dar vida a personajes y narrativas de manera asombrosa. ¡Espero que este proceso les haya inspirado y que disfruten de la obra final tanto como yo disfruté creándola!
