Every week, Splinterlands hosts a themed art contest and this time, the challenge was to create fan art of the charming character "Sea Genie" in the style of the Simpsons. I couldn't resist this exciting opportunity!

The creative process for this adaptation was a fascinating journey. As an artist, I'm always looking for new ways to explore artistic styles and techniques, and merging the world of Splinterlands with the Simpsons universe was a really stimulating challenge. I decided to put an interesting twist on my artwork by using the mayor of the city of Springfield, Joe Quimby, as a reference for the "Sea Genie" character.

The Sea Genie simply waits quietly in his dark, deep lair at the foot of Maka Peak. He is the only resident of the Cave of Mysteries, a powerhouse of magical force. The Genie was first summoned hundreds of years ago, and now he is prisoner to the ΛZMΛRÉ summoners, doing only their bidding and little else.

I began by looking for inspiration in the character "Sea Genie" from Splinterlands and Joe Quimby, the mayor of Springfield in the Simpsons. I studied the distinctive traits of both characters and began to visualize what their fusion would look like. I also did some preliminary sketches to establish composition and poses.

I made sure I had everything I needed for my digital work. This included my graphics tablet, my computer with image editing software and a good internet connection to access additional references and resources.

I started by establishing the basic structure of the drawing. I used tools such as digital pencils or vector lines to draw the main contours and define the proportions of the characters.

Following the Simpsons aesthetic, I chose a bright and vibrant color palette. I wanted the drawing to have a cheerful and cartoonish look, similar to the style of the animated series.
