Ulundin Overseer Simpsons Style
Hi everyone! I'm lorentm, a passionate digital artist, and I'm excited to share my latest creation in the social media section of Splinterlands. This time, I dove into the fascinating world of Ulundin Overseer and gave it a unique Simpsons-style twist.
Imagine this towering Ulundin, a humanoid hippopotamus in colossal armor, dominating his territory with every step he takes. With his enormous size, he makes the earth tremble, but I decided to give him a friendly and even a little silly touch in his facial expression, because even the fiercest warriors can have their comical side!
In my design, I depicted him on a peaceful day, under a clear blue sky, standing patiently as he guards his territory. The iconic armor accompanies him, and it's impossible not to smile when you see him in action.
Participating in this Splinterlands initiative allows me to explore new creative possibilities and merge universes in a unique way. I love how art can transform characters and give them new life - I hope you enjoy my Simpsonized version of Ulundin Overseer as much as I enjoyed creating it! 🎨✨
¡Hola a todos! Soy lorentm, una apasionada artista digital, y estoy emocionada de compartir mi última creación en la sección social media de Splinterlands. Esta vez, me sumergí en el fascinante mundo de Ulundin Overseer y le di un giro único al estilo de los Simpsons.
Imaginen a este imponente Ulundin, un hipopótamo humanoide con una armadura colosal, dominando su territorio con cada paso que da. Con su enorme tamaño, hace temblar la tierra, pero decidí darle un toque amigable y hasta un poco tonto en su expresión facial. ¡Porque incluso los guerreros más feroces pueden tener su lado cómico!
En mi diseño, lo representé en un día pacífico, bajo un cielo azul despejado, parado con paciencia mientras resguarda su territorio. La emblemática armadura lo acompaña, y es imposible no sonreír al verlo en acción.
Participar en esta iniciativa de Splinterlands me permite explorar nuevas posibilidades creativas y fusionar universos de una manera única. Me encanta cómo el arte puede transformar personajes y darles una nueva vida. ¡Espero que disfruten de mi versión Simpsonizada de Ulundin Overseer tanto como yo disfruté creándola! 🎨✨
The ulund are a fiercely territorial race, and their overseers are the weighty enforcers of their city-state’s borders. Massive girth undulating, earth trembling beneath each lumbering stride—the sight of one leading a charge is unlike no other.
Los ulund son una raza ferozmente territorial, y sus capataces son los imponentes encargados de hacer cumplir las fronteras de su ciudad-estado. Con su enorme corpulencia ondulante y el temblor de la tierra bajo cada zancada, ver a uno de ellos liderando una carga no se parece a nada.
Process / Proceso
I began this exciting project by immersing myself in the world of the Ulundin Overseer, visualizing what he would look like in Simpsons style. The first step was to sketch his imposing figure, focusing on capturing his size and friendly, yet goofy expression that I wanted to convey.
Once the sketch came to life, I dove into outlining. Here, I concentrated on giving more definition to every detail, from the imposing armor to the character's distinctive features. I was looking for that balance between the ferocity of a warrior and the kindness of a Simpsons character.
Coloring was an exciting stage. I experimented with a vibrant palette to match the cartoonish style of the Simpsons, but I also wanted the colors to reflect the Overseer's friendly personality. Warm, bright tones were combined with touches of more subtle colors to highlight his presence.
Getting to the shadows and highlights was crucial to give depth and realism to the image. I worked with layers of shading to highlight the contours and bring a three-dimensional feel to the Ulundin's armor and body. The glows, carefully applied, added that final touch to highlight key areas and bring the character to life in the illustration.
Each step was a creative adventure, exploring how to merge elements of the Splinterlands world with the iconic Simpsons style. The challenge of maintaining the essence of the Ulundin Overseer while transforming it into something completely new was a rewarding and exciting experience.
Comencé este emocionante proyecto sumergiéndome en el mundo del Ulundin Overseer, visualizando cómo se vería en el estilo de los Simpsons. El primer paso fue esbozar su imponente figura, centrándome en capturar su tamaño y expresión amigable, pero tonta, que quería transmitir.
Una vez que el boceto cobró vida, me sumergí en el delineado. Aquí, me concentré en darle más definición a cada detalle, desde la imponente armadura hasta los rasgos distintivos del personaje. Buscaba ese equilibrio entre la ferocidad de un guerrero y la amabilidad de un personaje de los Simpsons.
El coloreado fue una etapa emocionante. Experimenté con una paleta vibrante que encajara con el estilo caricaturesco de los Simpsons, pero también quería que los colores reflejaran la personalidad amable del Overseer. Los tonos cálidos y brillantes se combinaron con toques de colores más sutiles para resaltar su presencia.
Llegar a las sombras y los brillos fue crucial para dar profundidad y realismo a la imagen. Trabajé con capas de sombreado para resaltar los contornos y aportar una sensación tridimensional a la armadura y al cuerpo del Ulundin. Los brillos, cuidadosamente aplicados, agregaron ese toque final para resaltar áreas clave y dar vida al personaje en la ilustración.
Cada paso fue una aventura creativa, explorando cómo fusionar elementos del mundo de Splinterlands con el icónico estilo de los Simpsons. El desafío de mantener la esencia del Ulundin Overseer mientras lo transformaba en algo completamente nuevo fue una experiencia gratificante y emocionante.

The tools I used for the drawing were the following:

- Capacitive pen (Stylus).
- Ibis Paint X program.
- Brushes: Pencil, Airbrush, Fuzzy, Marker.
