Armored Up - All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Up Close & Personal - Only Monsters with melee attack may be used in battles.
Mana Cap of 48.
Available Splinters - Water, Earth, Death and Dragon

My Team:

Summoner: Daria Dragonscale (+1 Melee damage buff)

1. Djinn Chwala - Tank with the Taunt ability
2. Carnage Titan - Offtank/Damage dealer with the Reach and Double Strike abilityies
3. Silent Sha'vi - Damage dealer with the Sneak ability
4. Disintegrator - Damage dealer with the Demoralize ability
5. Sand Worm - Damage dealer with the Sneak ability
6. Crypt Beetle - Damage dealer with the Shield-ability

Strategy:

The ruleset Up Close & Personal limits the strategic possibilities quite a bit. The Splinter choice was easy, with the fire Splinter not available I had to use the Dragon Splinter. The choice of the secondary Splinter took a bit longer. I was torn between Earth and Death, but then I remembered this challenge and it was decided. The combo of Djinn Chwala combined with Carnage Titan in the front make for a quite deadly Tank Team. Even more so when they get the Summoner Buff. I chose the Crypt Beetle to tank possible sneak attacks in the back, especially useful because of Armored up ruleset. Disintegrator is another vital point, in a fight with only melee attacks the Demoralize ability (-1 to melee attacks) can be a game changer. Last but not least the Sand Worm and Silent Sha'vi with some major sneak attacks to have most of my Monster attacking each round.

Round 1:

I was surprised to see the opponents line-up. With only the Monster in the front being able to attack and no Disintegrator this was going to be an easy match. My team taking out 1 Monster in the back and heavily damaging the opponents tank, while my Team only took 2 damage from the weakened Mycelic Infantry.

Round 2:

My Team dealing heavy damage on the front and in the back. This time the opponents tank falls, while Chwala doesn't get attacked at all. The Nectar Queen's turn was already over when she stepped up to the front position.

Round 3:

And another one bites the dust. Chwala takes another attack but still has some Armor left.

Round 4:

Two more opponent Monster fall leaving only the Venari Knifer against my whole team.

Round 5:

Result:

My strategy worked, but the opponents team wasn't really a good measurement on how good it actually was. I guess that bot's programming still needs some work 😆

I usually don't use the Crypt Beetle in matches with high mana, but it can be very powerfull in a little league ruleset. In little league there is quite a few Monsters only dealing 1 damage and those are completely negated by the Shield ability. I had to find that out the hard way more than once already.

Thanks for reading and happy battling!
