Drastic change in Splinterlands transactions / From 1,975,050 to 775,375 Daily average transactions in 6 Months...

There is a lot going on with the transactions that Splinterlands causes on the blockchain. After several changes were introduced to Splinterlands, some of the daily transactions have changed as a result. And by changed, I mean that a lot less transactions are being done. 6 months ago today we were averaging 1,975,050 transactions. With a total of 357,484,051 transactions in 6 months, or rather in the past half year. The highest day was 29 January.

With almost 2 million daily transactions, the Splinterlands game was already quite busy on the blockchain and the game. But if you look at the 3-month chart, the whole thing looks a bit different. Here again, only an average of 1,335,230 transactions were carried out daily. The lowest value was 556,792 transactions on July 11.

If you look at the past month, you can already guess where we will end up. Yes, exactly, with much fewer transactions on average per day. Namely, only an average of 1,181,111 transactions per day in the past month.

Let's take a look at the last 14 days and the last 7 days. Because here some changes were introduced at Splinterlands. On the one hand the SPS Staked is needed to get further high rewards and the announcement that in the Modern format the bots will violate the ToS.

And as you can see, the number of transactions performed in the game is decreasing drastically. Where half a year ago we were at about 2 million daily transactions, today we are not even close to 800,000 transactions. July 11, 2023 was the key day with the lowest number of transactions. I'll be curious to see how things look next month. Will we reach the 500k transcations on average? Generally a good sign, as we can see that the botfarms are gradually no longer lucrative and give up :)

I think the 1 dec listing fee played quite a big role in less transactions. that really rekt a lot of cards that were being rented for 0.1 dec etc and yes even the amount of bots playing has gone down and most of them were renting cards which is also another big hit in the numbers. The rental market has taken quite a big hit. It's way cheaper to rent now than earlier in the year. I think more than 50% cheaper :D. Lastly, I think many whales that were making purchases are also waiting to see how land goes to see if they need to buy more DEC etc or even possibly take exit from splinterlands who knows.
