Hello to all friends belonging to this wonderful community of hive, I wish you all a great day and an excellent week, today I come with great desire to bring you this post belonging to the weekly challenge that offers us the great game Splinterlands, for this week we have as thematic dragons, so I decided to use a summoner belonging to the dragon splinter, let's see how we do in this battle and how it influences it, let's start!
About the challenge letter
As I mentioned before this week's theme is dragons, I am very excited with this theme since I usually don't use dragons in my battles and it is exciting to try something different, in previous battles I have faced the dragon sliver and I must say that it is a sliver with good stats and skills, in general it is very powerful, and its design is very striking, the dragons show fury and power and are able to intimidate anyone who faces them.
For this battle I used the hybrid dragon Drake of Arnak as a summoner, this dragon gives its allied monsters an additional armor point, I think this ability is great because defensively I can get advantage in battle and this can be a key factor so I'm sure we will take advantage of this ability very well, the design of Drake I like a lot, it is a dragon of a color similar to navy blue, wearing a very elegant suit and accompanied by a powerful fire at his side.
Rules for the battle
For this battle we have 17 mana points available to spend, it is a low number but it will be enough to manage my moves well in order to create good combinations in the battle.
The standard rules of the game are not modified, so you can use any type of splinter and card in the game field.
Analyzing my opponent
Observing my opponent I can notice that his strong point is concentrated in ranged attacks, most of his monsters have good ranged attack points and besides that his summoner gives him another additional point to this attack, his monsters have good stats, defensively they are well plowed, however, I think that thanks to the ability of my summoner we can get defensive advantage, my opponent will surely attack in an aggressive way to take full advantage of his powerful ranged attack, I will be a little more patient and attack efficiently when I have the opportunity.
Battle formation and statistics of my monsters
For this battle I am using the sliver of death, let's see what is my positioning and stats of my monsters:
Summoner: as I had mentioned before, as a summoner we have Drake of Arnak, this powerful dragon gives my monsters an armor point, I am very excited to use this summoner, I think we will take full advantage of him and his defensive contribution will be key in the battle.
First position: for the tank position we have the powerful Bone Golem, without a doubt he is one of my favorite tanks, he has the ability to reduce the damage of magical attacks, statistically he has 2 points of armor, 6 points of life, 1 point of speed and 3 points of melee attack.
Second position: here we find the herd of worms, the monster called Maggots, it has the ability to attack from any position and targets the enemy monster with the lowest health, statistically it has one point of health, one point of speed and one point of melee attack.
Third position: for this position we find the infernal cat Undead Badger, this monster has the ability to attack the enemy monster located in the last position, statistically is very balanced has a point of life, a point of speed and a point of magic attack.
Fourth position: finally we find the monster Carrion Shade, this fearsome monster with sharp fangs has no ability, however statistically it has 2 health points, two points of speed and one point of melee attack.
My winning strategy
Based on the analysis I made of my opponent I know that he has a lot of ranged attack, my tank is very resistant, however my monsters in the last positions are not, one enemy attack to these monsters and they will be eliminated in one blow, this is why my strategy was based on taking advantage of the ability of my summoner, Drake will give my monsters a point of armor, this will make my monsters resist the first blow and can advance in the first round, after resisting this first blow my monsters must attack with all their power and eliminate the enemy monsters as quickly as possible, for this I will take advantage of the large amount of body attack that my tank has.
Battle execution
The battle begins and the strategy is put into operation immediately, my summoner Drake gives my monsters an additional point of armor, everything happens as I had thought, an enemy monster attacks Undead Badger but thanks to this possessed a point of armor comes out alive from this attack, in this first round my opponent attacked with his powerful ranged attack but my monsters held very well thanks to the armor.
For round two an enemy monster attacks my monster in last position, but again the strategy is effective and you reíste the blow, after that my monsters manage to kill the enemy tank and immediately take advantage to eliminate the next enemy monster that had occupied the position of tank, at the beginning of round three my monsters attack the last enemy monster and manage to eliminate it, being my tank the one that gave the last blow and thus I got the victory of the battle.
Did the strategy work?
Indeed the strategy worked perfectly, the battle was executed the way I had thought it and thanks to my defensive strategy my monsters were able to resist the powerful enemy attacks and this opened the doors to victory in an intense and fast battle, where it became evident that having a good defense is essential in the battlefield.
How did the challenge card influence the battle?
Drake of Arnak was fundamental in the battle, thanks to this powerful dragon that gave my monsters a point of armor they could resist the first enemy blows, showing that the dragon sliver is very powerful and that even their summoners can be key in a battle, the truth is that I am satisfied with the performance of this summoner, I leave very high to the powerful dragon sliver which should be proud to have this powerful summoner.
