Have a great day everyone wonderful hive community, I hope you are having a great week, today I bring you a battle in the great world of Splinterlands, this battle is the one belonging to the weekly challenge that the game offers us, for this week we have a very interesting card, let's see which card it is, what are its statistics and skills and let's see how it influences the battle, let's start!
About the challenge letter
The card of the challenge is Mycelic Slipspawn, this monster belongs to the sliver of earth, I found it one of the strongest in the game, it has incredible statistics because it has 10 life points which makes it a very resistant tank, its high life points allow it to last longer in battle because it resists many enemy goals, besides that it has 2 points of speed and 2 points of magic attack, having magic attack Mycelic attacks directly to the health of the enemy no matter how much armor it has.
Although Mycelic has great stats is not what makes him a very strong card, the most remarkable thing is his powerful ability, this monster has the ability of all monsters attack him if possible, that is, if the enemy monster has some ability to attack your weaker monsters, with less shield or located in a specific position, thanks to the ability of Mycelic these enemy monsters will not attack their targets but attack Mycelic, this makes it a totally powerful monster in the battlefield.
Undoubtedly I think the best position to use this card is in the first position, using it as a tank is an advantage to protect your monsters in the last positions, because thanks to the ability of Mycelic they will always be protected, and its high life points allow it to resist many enemy attacks so it is a totally powerful tank, on the other hand, its design catches my attention is a white monster with a strange appearance almost looks like a monster from another planet, the truth is that I loved the design.
Rules for the battle
For this battle we have 26 mana points available to spend, this is a good number of points, enough to make a good play on the battlefield.
The standard rules of the game are not modified, i.e. all types of splinters and cards are allowed in the battle.
Analyzing my opponent
Observing my opponent I have been a little surprised because he has a very good deck, my opponent uses sliver of life and his monsters have very good stats and skills, the enemy monsters have many life points, besides his summoner gives an additional life point to these monsters, despite that I could realize that my opponent does not have much attack so I know he can not do tank damage to me.
The strong point of my rival is his high health points and skills, and his weak point is his attack which in my opinion is little because my monsters, especially Mycelic, have many health points so I know that my rival will need many rounds to be able to kill any of my monsters.
Battle formation and statistics of my monsters
Summoner: in this battle I have decided to use Obsidian as a summoner, this powerful summoner gives my monsters a magic attack point and that is the reason why I have used it, this summoner is good for my monsters because they all have magic attack, so this additional attack point will give me a lot of advantage in the battle.
First position: in this position I have used the challenge card Mycelic Slipspawn, as I mentioned before I think this position is the best for this card, Mycelic has the ability that all enemy monsters attack him, statistically he has 10 life points, 2 points of speed and 2 points of magic attack.
Second position: here we find Khmer Princess, this monster has no ability, but statistically has 2 health points, one point of speed and one point of magic attack, it is a monster to which we can take advantage of its magic attack.
Third position: in this position we find the monster Wood Nymph, this goblin-like monster has the ability to restore a portion of the health of the allied monster located in the first position, statistically it has 2 health points, one point of speed and one point of magic attack.
Fourth position: here we find Centauri Mage, this monster is a centaur that possesses the abilities of a mage, it has the ability that when it is attacked with a ranged attack it returns a portion of the damage to the attacker, statistically it has 9 health points, 3 speed points and one magic attack point.
My winning strategy
For this battle my strategy focused on taking advantage of the ability of the challenge card Mycelic Slipspawn, the enemy monsters had abilities that allowed them to attack my monsters in last positions so I used Mycelic's tank ability to receive all the attacks and to support Mycelic I used Wood Nymph's ability to restore his health each round, this way I have a very powerful tank almost impossible to defeat.
This defensive strategy allows me to take full advantage of the magical attack of all my monsters which will attack with fury directly to the health of the enemy, if my strategy does not fail then my monsters located in the last positions can attack throughout the battle without receiving any damage.
Battle execution
The battle begins and my strategy works perfectly, all the enemy monsters concentrate on attacking Mycelic while my other monsters attack with all their magical power and abilities, by the second round I had defeated two enemy monsters without any inconvenience, Wood restored Mycelic's health every round so Mycelic was an almost indestructible monster in the battlefield.
The battle continued while my strategy continued to work, by the fourth round there were only two enemy monsters left standing, however these did not last long and by the fifth round all the enemy monsters had been annihilated, and so we give end to a beautiful battle where I got the victory and all my monsters managed to show the fury of the magical attack.
Did the strategy work?
The strategy worked perfectly, Mycelic was during the whole battle receiving all the enemy attacks while Wood restored part of his health each round, in this way my monsters located in the last position were able to attack during the whole battle without receiving any damage, the result of this strategy was extraordinary since my rival did not even manage to kill any of my monsters, I obtained the victory with all my monsters intact.
How did the challenge card influence the battle?
Mycelic was fundamental in the battle since my strategy was focused on his ability, without his ability I would not have been able to carry out my strategy, the truth is that I am satisfied with his performance in the battle, he has proven to be a very powerful card, he received all the enemy damage so that his allied monsters could attack him throughout the battle, without a doubt Mycelic was the leader of this battle being the most influential card on the playing field.
