Good morning to all friends of this great hive community, I hope you are having a great day, today I come with recharged spirits to bring you a new post about the great game Splinterlands, this time I bring you a hard and long battle where the power of my tank took me to victory thus demonstrating how essential it is to place a good monster in first position, I hope you enjoy this battle as much as I did the truth is that I am very excited to share this with you, let's start!
Battle
For this battle I start with a numerical disadvantage, since my opponent has 5 monsters and I only have 4 monsters, however this did not cause me any kind of intimidation because I have a lot of confidence in my monsters and I was ready to start a battle that I knew would be hard because my opponent, which uses fire splinter, had a good combination of monsters with a good attack, however I managed to come up with a good strategy which worked perfectly.
At first glance my deck seems weaker than my opponent's, besides having numerical disadvantage I only have two monsters with attack, my other two monsters have no attack but their function in the battle is to use their good skills to the maximum. At the beginning of the battle everything is very even, my strategy works well but my opponent's tank has a good ability that reduces the damage of melee and ranged attacks and also had high health points so it was difficult to take down the opponent's monster in first position.
The battle is very evenly matched and extends until round 4, where the first monster falls which unfortunately for me was one of mine, my rival manages to kill one of my monsters and increases its numerical advantage, even so I was not discouraged because I knew that the power of my tank was brutal and my rival could barely hurt him, for round 5 my monster in first position destroys the first enemy monster and then in round 6 attacks again with its powerful attack and annihilates another rival monster, thus equalizing things within the battlefield.
For round 7 everything happens very fast and my rival manages to get rid of one of my monsters but I do not lag behind and I attack again annihilating another enemy monster, in the next round my two monsters manage to kill a rival monster and then for the last round, round 9, my tank does not hesitate to completely annihilate the last rival monster and thus give me the victory.
Standards
This time we have 20 mana points to spend, the truth is that it is a little low number but not much, it is not an impediment to design a good plan and give a good battle on the playing field.
The standard rules of the game have no modifications, that is to say, any type of splinter and card is allowed in the game.
Cards used
In this battle I have used water splinter combined with a neutral splinter monster, let's see what these monsters are:
Kelya Frendull: in this case we have the powerful summoner Kelya Frendull, this skilled summoner gives my monsters one point of armor and one point of speed, the truth is that Kelya is a good summoner when you want to start with a good defense and speed on the battlefield.
Serpent of eld: in this position we have the powerful sea serpent Serpent of eld, this monster was key in the whole battle and on which my strategy was based, the truth is that it has very good stats, it has two points of armor, 5 points of life, 4 points of speed and three points of melee attack, These stats are incredibly good, it is a tank that not only has a good defense but it is also fast and with a great melee attack, besides that it has the ability called Dodge that increases the probability of evading melee or ranged attacks which makes it a difficult monster to destroy.
Merdaali Guardian: this red-haired mermaid-like monster has the ability to restore a part of the monster's health in first position every round, statistically it has 3 health and two speed points, it has no melee, magic or ranged attacks, the idea of using this monster is to make the most of its ability in the battlefield.
Scavo Hireling: this neutral splinter monster has no attack like Merdaali, but it has the ability to restore a part of the armor of the monster whose armor has received more damage, it has 1 health and two speed.
Angelic Mandarin: this toad-like monster has 5 health, two points of speed and one point of ranged attack, despite not having any ability it has very good stats that can be well used in the game field.
Strategy
My strategy in this battle was based on making the most of the abilities of my tank Serpent of eld, placing him in the first position I knew he would receive a lot of damage and because of this I had to help him, this is where my monster Merdaali was in charge of supporting Serpent restoring part of his health each round, on the other hand Scavo also supported him in two ways, first at the beginning of the battle he distracted a rival monster that had the ability to attack the monster with the lowest health, which in this case is Scavo, but thanks to my summoner giving Scavo an armor point he survived each attack and with his own ability he restored his armor, in my opinion this resulted in an ingenious distraction plan for Serpent to take less damage during the battle, and the second way Scavo helped Serpent was by restoring his armor at a key point in the battle.
In this way I have managed to create a tank that defensively is very complete, it is almost indestructible, but that's not all, because this powerful tank has a good melee attack which did a lot of damage to the opponent, it is undoubtedly one of the most complete tanks I've seen in the game. So I managed to create a strategic plan that was based on using two monsters to support the monster in first position, and use two other monsters with good attack to go doing damage to my opponent, strategy that worked perfectly.
Used chips
As mentioned above I have used water splinter, the truth is that I have time using it and always give me good results, their monsters are characterized by being fast and have good skills, in addition to having a considerably good attack, it is certainly one of the most complete splinters in the playing field and I must say that in my opinion has the best monsters to position them in the first position in the battlefield.
On the other hand my rival uses fire splinter, I have observed a lot this splinter in the battlefields and I have faced it several times, I must say that they have monsters with a high level in attack, it is one of the most furious splinter that exists and its monsters transmit this fury to the rival, however I have noticed that most of the time they lack in defense, their low points in defense can play against them in the battlefield because if they face a deck with a lot of attack this splinter will not last long, I think this problem can be solved if you use a summoner that increases defensively the deck, that is, that gives some point of armor to these monsters, in this way they will last longer in the battlefield and may have enough time to annihilate the opponent quickly.
What would you try differently?
In this battle I have set a very good strategy that is difficult for me to change something that is better, however it is interesting to know what would happen if I use Merdaali in last position to try to take better advantage of his ability making it belong longer in the game, I think it would work well in this battle considering that my opponent has no ability to attack the last monster so Merdaali would be well protected in this position, this way I would help my tank all the battle restoring his life from the first round to the last round.
