Hello friends of this great community of Hive, today I return with all the desire to bring content about the great game of Splinterlands, this time for the weekly challenge that gives us the game I bring a great battle where as always we will analyze the strategy, training and talk about the challenge card, I hope you like this post, the truth is that every time I am more motivated to continue writing, let's start!
About the challenge letter
For the challenge of the week we do not have a specific card, this challenge is about the dragon splinter in general, in my opinion this splinter is one of the most powerful in the game, its cards are usually fast and with good life points, besides having powerful attacks to annihilate any opponent, but that's not all because they also have very good skills that allow you to create good strategies and combinations within the battlefield, this splinter usually combines very well with any other splinter because it works well together and can create incredible strategies.
As for the design I can say that it is one of the most I like in the world of Splinterlands because it is very striking, it is usually characterized by being a golden color or bright yellow, its monsters have a design that looks very good visually because they make it look cute but at the same time transmit that feeling of fury and power, which I think is a very good combination. I would like to add that this sliver has a good summoner that I usually use very often, this is the Drake of Arnak dragon, this is a powerful dragon that increases the armor of my monsters allowing me to have defensive advantages, the truth is always very useful.
Rules for the battle
Mana to spend: 21 mana points.
Standard rules: no modifications.
For this battle I have few mana points to spend so I must think very well my moves, on the other hand the standard game rules have no modifications so you can use any splinter and cards.
Analyzing my opponent
Observing my opponent I could notice that he has a very powerful tank with many life points and a lot of armor, besides he is fast and has a good melee attack, I knew that this monster would be his key point in the battle because I realized that he has another monster with the ability to restore a part of the life of his monster in first position so I realized that this was his strategy, use a good tank that is supported by his fellow monsters so generating a good defense and attack with this combination, besides that I must say that he uses water splinter which is a very complete splinter and has powerful abilities.
On the other hand, I can also notice that my opponent has a good summoner that increases the armor and speed of his monsters so my opponent will be fast and with a good defense, the truth is that it is not an easy opponent. Even though my opponent has a good strategy I was able to concentrate and create a strategy to win the battle, we will talk about this strategy later.
Battle formation and statistics of my monsters
For this battle I am using sliver of life, a very good sliver in terms of stats and skills, let's see what my formation is:
Summoner: in this battle I am using the summoner Drake of Arnak, which as I mentioned before belongs to the dragon sliver and is a very good summoner that increases a point of armor to each of my monsters, so this powerful hybrid dragon offers me security in defense.
First position: for this position I used the Chaos Knight monster, this powerful knight with shining armor has the ability to reduce melee and ranged attacks, statistically it has 3 points of armor, 4 points of life, two points of speed and 2 points of melee attack.
Second position: here we find the monster Stitch Leech, this fearsome monster has the ability to attack the enemy monster in last position instead of the monster in first position, it has 3 health points, 1 speed point and 2 melee attack points.
Third position: for this position use the Time Mage monster, this is a powerful time control mage which reduces the speed of all enemy monsters, statistically it has 3 health points, 4 speed points and 1 magic attack point.
Fourth position: here we find Truthspeaker, this powerful monster that always speaks the truth has the ability to increase two points of armor to allied monsters, definitely a good defensive ability, besides that has 1 point of life and two points of speed.
Fifth position: for this last position I have used the monster Gargoya Scrapper, this monster with gargoyle appearance has no ability but statistically has 2 health points, two speed points and 1 melee attack points.
My winning strategy
Battle execution
The battle comes into action and my summoner does his thing as planned, he reduces the attack, speed and life to all the rival monsters, my strategy works perfectly because his monster Eraeus attacks my monster Crypt Betlee and he uses his ability so that the damage received is insignificant, on the other hand Cursed Windeku is responsible for wearing down the other monsters because he has received most of the attacks to be in the first position.
Unfortunately one of his monsters has the ability to attack my monster with less life points which in this case is Soul Strangler and having only two life points did not resist the attack and ended up dead, but in round two I managed to take the lead because Cursed Windeku is attacked by the enemy monster of the first position and this receives damage to itself thanks to the ability of Cursed that then attacks again to finish off this enemy monster.
Later Cursed Windeku is left with two points of life and is attacked by an enemy monster that has an attack of two points of damage but also has two points of life, which means that both monsters die instantly thanks to the ability of Cursed Windeku, after this my monsters finish with the rival monsters giving me the victory, fulfilling the strategy as planned.
Did the strategy work?
As I mentioned earlier in the analysis of my opponent I had the intuition that his strategy would be based on his tank, but this would not be my first problem, because if I want to annihilate his tank I must first get rid of the monsters that support him and restore his life, that is the weak point of my opponent because these monsters in their last positions have little defense.
My strategy is to take advantage of the abilities of my monsters to first get rid of their monsters in last positions while I'm doing damage to his tank little by little, after having done this his tank will not have any support and I can attack with all the fury to his monster in first position to kill him with all the offensive power of my monsters.
How did the challenge card influence the battle?
Definitely the strategy worked perfectly, it was key in the battle that my monster Stitch killed the enemy monster in last position, because thanks to this his powerful tank was left without support and did not restore his life, it is important to mention that other factors also helped me to get the victory for example thanks to Time Mage my opponent could not get so much difference in speed, besides that my summoner gave me defensive support by giving a point of armor to my monsters.
How did the challenge card influence the battle?
As I mentioned before for this challenge there was no specific card, however we can talk about my summoner which belongs to the dragon sliver, it was very important that my powerful summoner Drake of Arnak added a point of armor to my monsters as this helped me to withstand the first rival attacks and be able to implement my strategy, proving that the dragon splinter is a powerful splinter and works very well to make combinations, that is to say, it works very well together, it is definitely one of the best splinters to create a good team that understand each other very well in the battlefield.
