The splinter dragon is a great way to add more card variety with another splinter, making it possible to mix and match!
To demonstrate this, I'll show you a battle with the Djinn Chwala, an epic reward card.

THEME: DRAGONS
Edition: Reward Chaos Legion
Rarity: Epic
Element: DRAGON + FIRE
ATTACK: Melee
ABILITIES: Thorns, Enrage

Lore

Dawn of the Djinn 4 of 4 - Only a short time after the Djinn were released, most of them were already seeing their elemental captivity as a blessing rather than a curse. They had far greater power than before, now that they were working with the force of the Planet at their backs. Pursuit of power was at the core of Belludae beliefs, so most of them would make small sacrifices for greater power.

The Djinn have not all found one another, and it will be difficult for them to do so since many of them reside in different elements. This is why several of the Djinn have submitted themselves as cards in the Moxian games, so they can connect with their lost brethren. Gradually they will come together to Praetoria as part of the last lines of defense, channeling the power of the Planet into an impenetrable wall to hold back the Chaos Legion.

The Rule Set

img_combat-rule_fire-regret_150.pngProtection: All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
img_combat-rule_holy-protection_150.pngFire & Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire ability.

Strategy

My strategy in this game was to use the Thorns skill to destroy the Divine Shield of the Melee cards that attacked the Djinn Chwala. In conjunction with this, I used Venari Spellsmith to amplify the damage caused by Thorns.

Also, I split my attack, choosing two cards with Sneak to destroy the back row. For this choice, I took into account the skills that could "deal" damage through Divine Shield:

  • Poison: can be applied to cards with Divine Shield, causing damage at the end of the round.

  • Cripple: reduces the hit card's life, even if it has Divine Shield.

Position

The chosen positioning was: Djinn Chwala in the first position as a tank, Radiated Brute in the second option so that he can take advantage of his Reach ability, Uraeus in third, Dhampir Infiltrator in fourth and Venari Spellsmith in last, so that Sneakers can survive longer . Uraeus was placed in front of the Dhampir, in case the Venari is eliminated, it can attract a possible card with Opportunity, because that way it can survive longer due to its shield.

Lineup

Card
Description
Quix the Devious 01.png
Quix The Devious is a legendary summoner that reduces opponent's ranged damage and speed.
Djinn Chwala 02.png
Djinn Chwala is a great monster for offensive and defensive strategies. Its high amount of health and shield, as well as its Thorns ability - which deals damage to Melee monsters - are great for defense. And his Enrage skill increases his attack to 6 and his speed to 5, making him more aggressive in his attacks.
Radiated Brute 03.png
Radiated Brute is a Melee card capable of attacking from second position due to its Reach ability. It has good speed and attack, which can be increased when taking damage due to its Enrage ability.
Uraeus 04.png
Uraeus is an epic card with the ability to attack the enemy's back row (Sneak), in addition to poisoning them (Poison).
Dhampir Infiltrator 05.png
Dhampir Infiltrator is a bounty card with great abilities to attack the enemy's back row. Its abilities include, Sneak - ability to attack the back row, Double Strike - makes it possible to attack twice in a row, and Cripple - reduces the enemy's maximum health.
Venari Spellsmith 06.png
Venari Spellsmith is a great card to use in conjunction with cards with Thorns, Magic Reflect and Return Fire skills, increasing the damage done by 1. Its other skill, Dispel, is useful to eliminate the benefits applied to cards hit by your attacks.

Conclusion

As can be seen from the battle that unfolded, my strategy was successful. The enemy focused on attacking my backline and defending with a Void tank. However, the Sneaks weakened the enemy's back line, while the Djinn Chwala was breaking the Divine Shields and eliminating their opponents as they advanced in their positions.
