Splinterlands Income
Since the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic, I was looking for many sites that can give additional income. I found Splinterlands near the end of 2020 but I skipped the advertisement once I read that I need to pay $10. At that time, I NEVER pay to play a game. I tried many (hundreds) crypto games & faucets, 90% of them are fake and now their sites have gone.
I decided to try Splinterlands at February 2021. This is my FIRST paid game to play, mostly because I have not found something that can give enough additional income.
So, my first income is DEC battle-reward, which I did not know how to exchange it into bitcoin or other crypto. 1 month later I just explore hive-engine and hive wallet.
Then I tried to buy some new cards, with obsession to rent it some day so I can receive passive income. At that time I don't want to sell even 1 card of mine. I levelling it up.
When the DEC price was skyrocketing, I had an idea to invest in DEC, so I invested about $175. But at same day the DEC I bought was used up completely. I bought Phantom of the Abyss for $50, Cthulhu for $30, Kralus for $45, and some Mylor Crowling cards.
Following the DEC price, the cards price was skyrocketing too. About 1 week later the market price for Phantom of the Abyss rose to more than $150. I sold it for $170. This is my first selling (thanks to Ryven):
With that only selling, my initial investment was nearly break-even. Not long after that I sold Cthulhu for $142.5 (amazing!) and my investment has already profit.
Then I learn how to rent a card. This is my first renting (Mylor Crowling and Poseidon):
Splinterlands is very amazing. Thanks God I found it.
So far I have learnt 8 ways to make income from this game:
- Ranked Battle (DEC)
- Completing the Daily Quest (DEC)
- Season Reward (DEC/cards)
- Collecting assets (SPS)
- Staking SPS
- Trading cards (DEC)
- Renting cards (DEC)
- And now I am learning about the SPT :)
So many ways to get income!! I hope I am investing time in the right game. Long Live Splinterlands!

True. Other than Phantom of the Abyss & Cthulhu, I have not sold any other else. I levelled it up. I think Splinterlands is much better than many other games, so I keep the cards. Some day in the future, I hope the prices will rise again.
Nice one, I find it is a great time to just hodl and maybe buy, Hard to say but prices may dip a bit with new set but go back up I am guessing and even higher.
