The DEADLY Wave Runner - Share your Battle Weekly Challenge

We'll be talking about the 🦈Wave Runner🦈, a deadly off-tank with the "Reach" ability that allows him to attack from the backline.

The Wave Runner

The Wave Runner sees not one but two sets of prey. The first set of eyes scours the ocean for a tasty morsel. The second set of eyes looks above to the skies for unsuspecting flyers. With a powerful swipe of its tail the Wave Runner can leap out of the water and bring giant birds and dragons alike into the water where its body provides a natural fighting advantage. It's best to find land or make peace with your soul if you're unfortunate enough to face a Wave Runner.

The Strategy

An off-tank is the second monster in line, as it's this off-tank that will end up being the frontliner if the actual tank dies.

Due the Reach ability, the Wave Runner is incredibly strong in the second position: while he's there, he's able to attack and deals 2 damage/turn. Also, he has a very high Speed of 3, allowing him to have the first hit at the majority of the enemies.

And, if the main tank dies, the Wave Runner has a generous health of 4 to absorb damage from the enemy team, holding the line and keeping the Magic/Ranged monsters safe behind him.

The Battle

As you can see, the Wave Runner is in the second position, allowing him to use his Reach ability and fullfil his job as the off-tank.

The frontrunner is Torhilo the Frozen, one of the mightiest tanks in the game: the bull has 4 Shield, 8 Health and the special ability Void, reducing all the incoming magic damage. He's a stone wall built to defend the team.

Behind Torhilo and the Wave Runner, we have the Magic Gang: Ice Pixie, Medusa and Elven Mystic. Their Magic attack will be doubled from 1 to 2 due the Alric special ability; thus, they'll be the main damage dealers of the team.

With the extra mana left, the Creeping Ooze was brought to the battle to make all the enemies slower with his Slow special ability.

The battle was a massacre: the enemy was barely able to hit our team, and the only kill the oponent was able to get was the weak Ice Pixie with her tiny 1 Health. All the magic attacks against Torhilo were reduced to 0 due his special ability, while Wave Runner and the Magic Gang were able to decimate the enemy team one by one.
