Hola comunidad de alien art y spt! Espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy les vengo a dejar otro post de uno de los personajes que elegí para dibujar: LIRA THE DARK

As always, I prefer to start drawing the concept on paper to have the idea and to be able to transfer it cleanly to digital, to tell the truth, I liked to play with the design and adapt another outfit keeping the neckline and the opening at the bottom. In this kind of characters I like to make them dresses that make them stand out much more, so that they look imposing due to their characteristics that make them mysterious and enigmatic.
As for the rest, I decided to lengthen their hair to generate a movement that would accompany the pose of the character.

Como siempre, prefiero comenzar dibujando el concepto en papel para tener la idea y poder pasarla en limpio a digital, a decir verdad, me gustó jugar con el diseño y adaptarle otro atuendo conservando el escote y la abertura en la parte de abajo. En este tipo de personajes me gusta mucho hacerles vestimentas que los hagan resaltar mucho más, para que se vean imponentes debido a sus características que los vuelven misteriosos y enigmáticos.
En cuanto al resto, decidí alargar su pelo para generar un movimiento que acompañara la pose del personaje.

Moving on to the linerart, I like that it is of different colours, as it helps me to select the main colour palette, it is a recurrent guide I have when digitising my drawings that I find effective! With the pen tool (to fill the main colours I use the strongest one) the work becomes faster and I only have to make corrections if they go out of the edges of the lineart.

Pasando al linerart me gusta que sea de diferentes colores, ya que me sirve para seleccionar la paleta de colores principal, es una guía recurrente que tengo a la hora de digitalizar mis dibujos que encuentro efectiva!. Acompañado de la herramienta pluma (para rellenar los colores principales uso la más fuerte) el trabajo se vuelve más rápido y solo me encargo de hacer correcciones por si se salen de los bordes del lineart.

And now comes my favourite part which is the make-up, I like how the brownish shading stands out on her pale skin, and I think it is one of the details that I liked the most because it goes with the design as well as the details, in the dress, and the jewellery she is wearing, which I decided to leave in a silver colour, from my point of view it generates more harmony in the colour palette.

Y ahora viene mi parte favorita que es el maquillaje, me gusta como el sombreado amarronado destaca en su piel pálida, y creo que es uno de los detalles que más me gustó darle porque acompaña tanto al diseño como a los detalles, en vestido, y las joyas que lleva puesta, que decidí dejarlas de un color plateado, desde mi punto de vista genera más armonía en la paleta de colores.

As for the rest, the hair I wanted it to have a shine which I highlighted, even if the tone of it is dull the shine is still there and I liked to play with different brushes to achieve that effect of changing shades; while the skin I thought that "less was more" although I focused on the areas that would be with shadow, I only lowered a couple of all to not saturate aggressively her skin colour and her eyes I decided to make them with reddish touches as well as the stones that are in her necklace so that they would combine better.
At first I was thinking of leaving the outfit in a black tone and giving it a velvety effect, but I decided to go for this colour, as it doesn't go unnoticed, but it doesn't unbalance the harmony of the colours that made up the original palette.
Finally, I gave her the "runny" lipstick effect that the character has, adding an effect as if it was actually blood falling from her mouth, because it gives the sensation that she is a vampire, and for the power that emanates from her hand, I used a lighter layer and another one to give her the sparkles that go with it.

En cuanto al resto, el pelo quería que tuviera un brillo el cual resalte, por más que la tonalidad de este sea apagada el brillo sigue estando y me gusto ir jugando con diferentes pinceles para lograr dejarle ese efecto de cambio de tonalidades; mientras que la piel me pareció que "menos era más" si bien me enfoque en las áreas las cuales estarían con sombra, solo baje un par de todos para no saturar de forma agresiva su color de piel y sus ojos los decidí hacer con toques rojizos al igual que las piedras que se encuentran en su collar para qué combinarán mejor.
El atuendo al principio pensaba dejarlo en una tonalidad negra y darle un efecto aterciopelado, pero decidí irme por este color, ya que no pasa desapercibido, pero tampoco desequilibra la armonía de colores que conformaban la paleta original.
Finalmente, le di el efecto de labial "corrido" que presenta la personaje, agregándole un efecto como si fuera en realidad sangre cayendo de su boca, debido a que da la sensación de que es una vampira, y para el poder que emana de su mano, utilice una capa más clara y otra para darle los destellos que lo acompañan.
