Splinterlands - How I Support my Habbit...

How I Support My Splinterlands Addiction

I've been playing @Splinterlands for about a month and a half now. I discovered it when I was looking for more play to earn games. Coming from 'Gods Unchained'. Several different videos on the tube mentioned Splinterlands having a cheap barrier to entry so I figured, "What the heck I'll give it a shot."

Since then I've been addicted. I see the opportunity and I've actually had chances to make money. When you put money in and pay attention to the market, there is money to be made in this game. And to top it off the actual game play is pretty fun too.

With that said, unfortunately there are some downsides to be sure. For example, the investment can be burdening. Not like everyone has a few hundred bucks lying around to get a single card. I know I definitely don't. 😔 So what do I do? I gotta work. I work nearly every day doing side gigs specifically for extra money.

If you're like me, struggling to get a proper collection going because money, these are some gigs I do to get enough to support my @Splinterlands kick. If you do it right, unlike me 'cause I'm a potato, you can buy cheap cards and flip them for profit or use them to climb the ladder and earn bigger rewards. The best thing about Splinterlands is how many different ways to make more money!

Side Gigs:

First up and my personal favorite side gig is Food delivery. I personally work for Grubhub which I tentatively recommend since I find they pay the most. I say tentatively because lately they've slowly been decreasing the base pay for each delivery. Sigh Come on SPS to the moon!

Second up is a particular app that is basically grocery and other product delivery specifically for Wal-Mart. Yuck. I know, I know, no one likes Wally World but hey they pay second best. Actually there's an argument to be made for it being equal to first. The problem is it's hard to get jobs because there's lots of other drivers.

Instacart is similar to PointPickup but you do the shopping instead of just picking up the groceries and delivering them. The plus side is lots of stores. However where I live, there aren't a lot of offers for this gig. Even if there were, the amount of time it takes for me to do the shopping and the delivery doesn't add up to what I can make in the other two areas of side giggery.

Why I Prefer These Gigs:

The best thing about working these jobs is being my own boss. I get to decide when I feel like putting in the effort. And watching my pay increase as I complete orders fills me with glee. Then I start to cry when I convert it to LTC to deposit in my Hive Wallet. Sigh Fees.

Still, I get to see quite a few interesting and fun things on the job.

All in all, I actually really enjoy the time working my side gigs. There's a lot of thinking and quiet time time to yourself during the drives to pick-ups and drop-offs. If you want to commit more money to @Splinterlands, but don't have the money, don't be ashamed or afraid to get a side job. Hey we all got bills, and having that extra money can be tough. If you have any questions about any of this feel free to message or leave a comment. Upvotes are appreciated and thanks for reading guys!
