"Share Your Battle", a small but particular Card...

This afternoon I was about to write a post about the other great Splinterlands Contest in which I participate, the Social Media Challenge, when I went, out of curiosity, to look at the Splinterlands website if the object of the Contest had by chance been published Share Your Battle, and it had actually arrived, so I made the decision to change my mind by making this post that has this particular Card as its subject...

It is not an easy card to use, in the sense that it takes, in my humble opinion, some particular combat conditions, to be able to profitably deploy a card like Mycelic Morphoid, which also belongs to the Earth Element, being a Common Charter of this specific Element, which has a quotation of about 7 cents of dollar (5 DEC), the participation in this contest was an opportunity to verify a lack of mine, which was the following...

I don't know why but I forgot about Mycelic Morphoid, in the sense that having upgraded her Summoner Obsidian up to level 6, being a Common Card I could push her up to 8 level, I was stuck at 5°, so a few hours ago I proceeded with the purchase of a few units of this Card, also taking advantage of some small discounts for multiple purchases, in the end I raised it to level 7, also considering the fact that it is a Card that has a trend that I would define in fits and starts, as its characteristics only improve every 2 levels, instead of changing after each level advancement...

As I mentioned above, this Card requires quite narrow specifications, in order to exploit its qualities, which really exist, because first of all it has a really low cost in terms of Mana, being limited to 1 unit only, but it is also a factor limiting, as it will hardly find use in battles with a total amount of Mana greater than 40 units...

From the 3rd level it acquires an excellent skill, that of Thorns, but it also remains the only one up to the 1st level, on the other hand with such a low Mana cost it is hard to expect more, even the Lives supplied are few, they rise to 3 at the very end, but in a game platform like Splinterlands, where the dynamics of the battles can take on many different shades, a Card like Mycelic Morphoid cannot be missing in your personal Deck of Cards...

The fate of a fight depends on many factors, our task is to try to deploy formations that can be as competitive as possible, another variable to try to control is to predict with good approximation what the Element and the team of our opponents, as far as my team is concerned I went on a fairly classic team, going to place a card like Unicorn Mustang in the very first place, putting its exact opposite, in last position, Mycelic Slipspawn, in such a way that, at least initially, it was this card that attracted the most fire of my opponents, Orc Sergeant in 2nd bar was used to give greater strength to the cards with attack traditional, like our heroine of today's contest Mycelic Morphoid, which I protected in 4th position, closed between Regal Peryton and Goblin Psychic, hoping not to meet of opposing cards with a particular skills, capable of immediately discovering the relative power, in terms of Lives, of this Charter...

I must say that it was not bad at all, that Mycelic Morphoid defended itself very well, and..., and then for this time nothing more is said, so as not to steal the surprise of seeing the trend of this battle...

Questo pomeriggio stavo per redigere un post relativo all'altro grande Contest di Splinterlands a cui partecipo, il Social Media Challenge, quando sono andato, per curiosità, a guardare nel sito di Splinterlands se fosse per caso stato pubblicato l'oggetto del Contest Share Your Battle, ed era effettivamente arrivato, per cui ho preso la decisione di cambiare idea, realizzando questo post che ha come soggetto questa Carta particolare...

Non è una Carta facile da utilizzare, nel senso che ci vogliono, secondo il mio modesto avviso, delle condizioni di combattimento particolare, per poter schierare con profitto una Carta come Mycelic Morphoid, che appartiene oltretutto all'Elemento Terra, essendo una Carta Comune di questo specifico Elemento, che ha una quotazione di circa 7 centesimi di dollaro (5 DEC), la partecipazione a questo contest è stata l'occasione per verificare una mia mancanza, che era la seguente...

Non so bene il motivo ma mi ero dimenticato di Mycelic Morphoid, nel senso che avendo potenziato il suo Evocatore Obsidian fino al livello 6°, essendo una Carta Comune la potevo spingere fino all'8° livello, ero fermo al 5°, per cui qualche ora fa ho proceduto con l'acquisto di un po' di unità di questa Carta, sfruttando anche qualche piccolo sconto per acquisti multipli, alla fine l'ho elevata al livello 7°, considerando anche il fatto che è una Carta che ha un andamento che definirei a singhiozzo, in quanto le sue caratteristiche migliorano solamente ogni 2 livelli, invece che modificarsi dopo ogni avanzamento di livello...

Come ho accennato poco sopra, questa Carta richiede delle specifiche abbastanza ristrette, in modo da sfruttare le sue qualità, che esistono realmente, perché innanzitutto ha un costo in termini di Mana veramente contenuto, essendo limitato a 1 sola unità, ma è pure un fattore limitante, in quanto difficilmente troverà impiego in battaglie con dotazione complessiva di Mana superiori alle 40 unità...

Dal 3° livello acquisisce un'ottima abilità, quella di Thorns, ma rimane anche l'unica fino al 1° livello, d'altronde con un costo in Mana così contenuto è fatica pretendere di più, anche le Vite in dotazione sono poche, salgono a 3 proprio alla fine, ma in una piattaforma di gioco come Splinterlands, dove le dinamiche delle battaglie possono assumere tantissime sfumature diverse, una Carta come Mycelic Morphoid non può mancare nel proprio personale Deck di Carte...

Le sorti di un combattimento dipendono da tanti fattori, il nostro compito è quello di cercare di schierare delle formazioni che possano essere il più competitive possibile, un altra variabile da provare a controllare è quella di prevedere con buona approssimazione quale possa essere l'Elemento e la compagine dei nostri avversari, per quanto riguarda la mia squadra sono andato su un'equipé abbastanza classica, andando a posizionare una Carta come Unicorn Mustang in primissima battuta, mettendo al suo esatto opposto, in ultima posizione, Mycelic Slipspawn, in modo tale che, almeno inizialmente, fosse proprio questa Carta ad attirare il maggior fuoco dei miei avversari, Orc Sergeant in 2° battuta serviva per dare maggiore forza alle Carte con attacco tradizionale, come la nostra eroina del contest odierno Mycelic Morphoid, che ho protetto in 4° posizione, chiusa tra Regal Peryton e Goblin Psychic, sperando di non incontrare delle Carte avversarie con abilità particolari, in grado di scovare subito la relativa potenza, in termine di Vite, di questa Carta...

Devo dire che non è andata affatto male, che Mycelic Morphoid si è difesa decisamente bene, e..., e allora per questa volta non si dico più nulla, per non rubarvi la sorpresa di visionare l'andamento di questa battaglia...
