I Picked Up 2 New Cards And Also Opened 10 Card Packs.
I am trying to build up my deck and slowly but sure I am getting there.
Check out the video and see what kind of luck I had opening 10 Chaos Legion card packs. It's very addicting opening packs, almost like opening Christmas presents you never know what you're going to get.
I also got to lower cost cards to add to my deck the first one is Tusk The Wide. This is a nice lower mana tank for the fire splinter. Pard with Tarsa this can be a powerful card.
The other card I picked up is Spirit Hoarder. With the right line up this is a very powerful card that heals some of your back line monsters during battles. At only 3 mana this legendary card is affordable and a great asset to your deck.
I hope you enjoy the card pack opening in the video and I will see you next time.
There are huge things coming to Splinterlands if you haven't taken a look at it what are you waiting for?

I still need to figure out how to use Spirit in matches...I literally, just figured out Amplify LOLOL
Check out Bulldog's post from yesterday on the water splinter he gives a good example of how he can be very affective.
Yeah. I simply have to get into this. Its on my growing list of things to do.
I've been a gamer on and off since I was young and now to have the ability to earn from gaming is amazing.
Tusk has a very good win rate so it's always a good choice and spirit hoarder is very useful!
Too bad you didn't get some legendary in the packs put some summoners and gold foils are always nice.
I got 1 legendary, he is not a GFL but I did get a regular foil River Hellondale. Nothing to really brag about but not to bad of an opening with a few golds and summoners also.
I don't know if Tusk is a tank I would use much. However it does mess up people using magic against you because it literally kills me most of the time when I run fire. The biggest issue I have with it is that it only has 1 attack.
I know what you are saying but the slow speed is what I don't like. If you pare it with Tarsa as the summoner it has 2 attack and 13 health so it is a little better. The fact that it has high health for a lower mana card and the void ability for the price of the card it was worth it.

I can't wait to gather more potions to open more of my CL packs too. I made a habit of opening them close to the EOS, because that's a good time to restructure my deck and cards rented out.
I'm still fairly new to this game and I'm trying to build my deck so lately I have been trying to open 10 packs a week. Little by little my deck is getting there but I am a long way off from gold leagues still.
That's ok. This is a grind game. Slow and steady works perfectly on Splinterlands.
Splinterlands seemed to garner a bit of attention from people. It is amazing how much we all act like kids with things such as this.
I takes me back to my youth of opening a pack of baseball cards, excited to see who I would get.
Yeah this is like the modern day version of the old baseball cards. I have opened a few baseball card packs when I was young, I remember getting the cards and a piece of gum in the packs so I guess we are missing out on the gum. lol
Great pulls on the cards with the Legendary, epics and gold. Looks like your deck building is coming along nicely with the packs and the two new cards you added. Take care.
Thanks David, I have been working on it and little by little my deck is getting there but I still have a long way to go.
I enjoy your updates, @maddogmike - I actually got as far as logging in to splinterlands and played a demo game. I just randomly clicked on cards and let it play out. I thought I'd won too, but turned out I'd lost!
Actually, I logged in to look at staking SPS for that nice interest rate - not that I have much to stake!
Good luck going forward.
Thanks David. It's not an easy game especially with just the starter deck but there is always the income side of the game if you don't want to put in the time to learn. Although I would imagine you being a chess player would probably be pretty good with the strategies of the game.
I haven't bought packs yet. Would you say that you realize a good return at the time of opening, or are you anticipating that the cards might increase in value? I want to buy packs and I have been building my potions, but so far I have bought individual cards to play or rent. Also here from Listnerds.
I would say it will be some time but the price will go up.
The price of most of the cards went down after Chaos Legion launched
once those packs run out the price of all the cards will go up again.
Watching you open packs is making me want to buy some. I will probably buy enough to use up all my potions.
It seems like Summoners are hard to get. Nice little haul though. Plus the ones you purchased. When you get more than one of the same card you can eventually upgrade them, right? I still have to look through all my cards and see if I have anything worth renting from the packs I opened.
Thanks Lisa. There was a few good cards in there and the 2 I purchased came as lower cost cards that were recommended to me. You are correct when you have multiple cards they can be combined to level them up and the most important cards to level up first are the summoners because your other cards can only be at the level the summoner allows.
You're welcome and thanks for that information about leveling up the cards. So the Summoners are kind of the bosses and that's why you guys want to see them in your pack openings. Have a great Saturday! 😀
