Magalli's "SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! DRAGONS!"

I decided to try this weekly challenge because I love Dragons on Splinterlands.
Luckily I own the Void Dragon, the Djinn Chwala, and the Twilight Basilisk so I thought I could participate in this challenge.

I started searching for battles and I found one with a 20 Mana cap, no magic monster rule, and with Fire, Life, Earth, and Dragon summoners allowed.

Unfortunately, I couldn't use my beloved Void Dragon, but however, Djinn Chwala without the magic monsters could shine.

So thinking about my opponent's choices, I choose the Dragon Summoner "Drake of Arnak" with the Fire element.

Why? For some different reasons:

1 ) No magic monsters allowed, so no magic decks to worry about.
2 )20 mana cap was a bit low to expect the Life summoner General Sloan with a range attacks deck.
3 ) If the opponent would choose fire my armor would have made the difference in case of the same monster choice (thinking about Serpentine Spy vs Serpentine Spy, the one with no armor should die before).
4 ) I can counter an eventual Shield ability tank monster, thanks to the high base attack that fire monsters have.
5 ) Even if my opponent chooses to increase his armor, using Dragon Summoner or the Truthspeaker in a Life deck, the Djinn Chwala's Thorns ability should be enough to resist and counter it.

So, in the end, I choose that team, only 4 monsters, but with 2 in attack each, to counter the eventual Shield ability and the Scorch Fiend a legendary monster who costs 0 mana.

Why did I put the Scorch Fiend in the second position? Because in the case my opponent chooses the Serpentine Spy too or a monster with the Opportunity ability, the Scorch Fiend could absorb two hits thanks to the Dragon of Arnak summoner armor bonus, leaving my Serpentine Spy free to attack my opponents' weak monsters.

My opponent decided to go with the Life element, increasing his monsters' health.

My team preview was correct, because even if I was thinking about the Living Lava and the Serpentine Spy and their abilities, my opponent just choose the Life Deck but with Monsters with the same abilities ( not so many choices in Bronze League, so the preview is easier).

Shield and Opportunity ability but on different monsters.

So the Scorch Fiend took damages, protecting the Serpentine Spy who could finish the Celestial Harpy and the Truthspeaker while my amazing Djinn Chwala helped by the Tenyii Striker did the rest.

Nice win thanks to strategy and Dragons:

Final consideration:

The Dragon element is great to play, it is the only Element that you can use with another one and it can be useful in a lot of situations, maybe it is a bit weak versus magic decks, but as always, in Splinterlands, it depends about strategies.
Personal advice, especially for Bronze players like me, invest in a Djinn Chwala card, it wins by itself a lot of battles and right now it is really cheap.

This is an awesome write-up and also a good summary of the Dragon splinter. I totally love Dragons, it's the added option of having another splinter at your fingertips, right?

Exactly! Dragon gives you a lot of possibilities and strategies and that's amazing in a strategy card game
