It will be a while before I can spare USD 10 for a Spellbook. Even if I get the Spellbook, I wouldn't be doing any actual game play; I would just be collecting cards. What can I do with the Spellbook if I'm not taking part in any battles?

Don't think of as an expense- it's an investment!
The fact is:
Simply HAVING the Spellbook allows you to get SPS Air drops- all your DEC and all your HIVE (in the HIVE:DEC Pool) would count for Air Drop points.

If just having the Spellbook helps with passive income, then I need to shift things around my wallet first before I buy it. I'll need a few more days to see how my unstaking is going.

So if the Spellbook is USD 10, that means it's about HIVE 12.89, with 1 HIVE worth about USD 0.776. I need a bit more liquid HIVE before I can buy the Spellbook.
