The most important part, for me, is that you can put SPS and DEC into the pool and you get Air Drop points for both- so you continue to hold SPS while getting SPS from it, without staking it.
This may be true, but it's not reflected in the wallet. The account at Tribaldex-- and, therefore, blockchain-- will record the transaction, but the wallet shows the balance as if the pool contribution was sent out. It took me a couple of days to figure out that this is what was happening.
Eg. you have 10 SPS and 600 DEC- the SPS can either be Staked and give negligible Vouchers and SPS or... give nothing. OTOH, if you 'pair' the SPS with the DEC, in a Pool.... BOTH the SPS and the DEC produce AD points- effectively doubling your AD points!
So if I have SWAP.HIVE and DEC in the SWAP.HIVE:DEC liquidity pool, I get airdrops for both SWAP.HIVE and DEC? And on top of that I also get airdrops of BEE? Put in 2 tokens, get back 3? I'd buy that for a dollar!
The post still has time for earnings, but I will give out both a slice of !PIZZA and some !LUV you can use at the DEX to buy SPS or DEC as needed for your own pool.

No, it's not reflected in the Wallet- the Air Drop points are calculated IN Splinterlands and you need to have purchased a Spellbook to get your SPS from the AD points.
Let's say, you have 3,750 DEC and the Matching HIVE in the SWAP.HIVE:DEC Pool- OK?
Well, you get the BEE ADs AND appreciation from earnings on the Pool Transactions AND protection from market swings in either of the tokens, as per normal
BUT
IF you also have a Spellbook in Splinterlands- your position in the LP counts as 7.5K AD points for the (daily(!)) SPS Air Drop- which would net you about 1 SPS/day....
P.S. I dunno about you but I always feel a little..... dirty- selling LUV on the open market....
I'm clearing out much of my wallet to make room for more HIVE and SWAP.HIVE. Based on the untaking operations in progress, I'll need about a week before I can feel comfortable using HIVE to buy the Spellbook.
