An amazing combo of Jacek and Coeurl

What's up my fellow splinterlands players!

I guess you all are enjoying the winter season and also preparing yourself For the upcoming Christmas event. But for us crypto enthusiasts, the time is not going so smooth as the whole crypto market is currently experiencing a harsh downtrend and our splinterlands has also got affected badly. Most pf the assets and cards of sl is currently facing the dip as I said in my last post, there are too much selling pressure right now and SPS, Vouchers and other tokens and also most of the cards are selling with a huge discount. Well, for visionaries, this is probably the best time to invest into this game because a couple of thousand dollars can buy you a decent max level playing collection or an impenetrable tournament ready Gold tier collection. So, which side you are on right now, selling your assets or buying your missing cards or assets?

Season Progress

Moving forward, let us now check the ongoing season and the season clock says we have only 9 days left before it hits zero and the season ends. Well, the time is passing faster than it should and I am still playing in Diamond II tier with a current trophy count of 3241. Last day, I got the BUFF ruleset and finished the focus mission by collecting 8 reward chests. Now, let me share the outcome Below.

As you can see from above, I didn't got lucky this time and didn't out anything amazing. However, I got 2 common cards bandit & skull and a rare card seedsmith, around 15.9 SPS along with 960 merits and 24 alchemy potions. No doubt, this these rewards looks little but over time as I am adding them into my collection, together they are making my portfolio stronger slowly. Right now reward cards are selling for dirt cheap so there’s no point to think about selling them. So instead, I am upgrading my extra cards and renting them out in a separate account and thus generating a passive DEC income.

Jacek + Coeurl commbo

Now, coming to the main topic, today I will share an awesome ranked match to showcase the amazing combo of conqueror Jacek and Coeurl Lurker.

CONQUEROR JACEK

I really started loving this new legendary chaos fire summoner, especially for his piercing ability and +2 speed to all friendly monsters. Because of The high speed, the chance of your monsters attacking first get increased by a bit and the piercing ability upon that helps you to pierce down armoured enemy cards and can be very fatal against low health monsters. Not to mention that it’s Scattershot ability can be tricky with magic and range monsters as you wont know who your monsters will target. But the scattershot ability doesn't work on melee monsters so they will act normal.

COEURL LURKER

On the other hand, the Coeurl is still my best Rift monster, mainly because of it’s large stat and with decent 4 speed + evade ability, it often gets successful in dodging enemy attacks. Not only melee and range attacks, it can also evade enemy magic attacks with it’s Phase ability with the same rate with which it evades other attacks. Upon that, for enemy melee monsters it’s really painful to hit the Coeurl because with it’s Thorns ability. The Coeurl will reverse damage them. Last but not least, it’s Taunt ability will attract every enemy attack upon it while my other monsters will stay safe. Please note that monsters with scattershot ability doesn't get affected with taunt ability.

Now, I got this match with 2 rulesets Fog of War and Spreading Fury with 22 mana limit and Only 2 splinters, Fire and Earth was active for this gameplay. So I made a strategy to use Coeurl as my main monster and chose the Jecek summoner so that it gets another +2 speed and Piercing ability. Now, when the coeurl gets the first hit to it’s health, it will unlock it’s enrage ability and thus after getting it’s stat further buffed up, It will get insanely powerful and also untouchable on the other hand.

To give my coeurl even more speed, I used 3 other monsters - Venator Kinjo, Scavo Chemist and Flame Monkey. If you look here, All these 3 monsters are attack less but with their speed buffs and other abilities will help me a lot in this battle. Well, I thought I am taking risk here by depending only upon 1 monsters as my attacker and if my Coeurl dies, there’s no chance for me to win this war.

But, the strategy worked exactly like I wanted it to do. As the battle started, My Coeurl was already carrying 7 speed and Upon getting first hit to it’s health, it stat gets even more jacked up with massive 11 speed and 8 attack. And the rest is history as you can see from the battle. Clearly, the piercing ability worked like a charm and I was killing those little monsters with single blows. On top of that, the venator was providing Amplify ability and the Chemist was cleansing it from negative stat effects every round. So, I won this match easily and got very happy that my strategy worked perfectly in here.
