Market watch of SPLINTERLANDS Tokens and my thoughts

Greetings my fellow Splinterlands warriors!

I hope all of you are doing well in this brand new year. Sadly, the global pandemic has come back once again and this time in the form of omicron Virus outbreak. so, I suggest you all to follow all the safety protocols like wearing a mask or maintaining social distancing And also helping others to fight and win this pandemic and get back once again to our old and happy life.

Now, taking a look at the game, The DEC Payout got decreased compared to the initial season days. I am battling In diamond 2 and I am only getting approx 50 to 60 DEC per ranked match win And my experience tells me this will continue until the next season starts. The boosted drop rate of vouchers has ended today and from now on, instead of a total daily drop of 66666.66 vouchers, from now on only 20,000 vouchers per day will be distributed among SPS stakers.

Though vouchers will not be required in general sale in order to buy Chaos Legion packs, it will certainly be required to get the extra packs when buying in bulk. If you buy 2000 packs, you get a 20% extra in packs which equals to 400 packs but with chaos Legion, now in order to get those free 400 packs you will Need 400 vouchers this time. Also, with the upcoming riftwatchers edition in Q2 2022, vouchers will again be required to partake in the initial sale. so, I hope this use cases will increase the price of vouchers. Currently it is being traded in Hive engine for $2.249 per unit with a 4.4% price increase in last 24 hours.

Now, taking a look at DEC prices, I am watching a downtrend again With 10.4% decrease in price in the last 24 hours and currently it is being tried for $0.0039 per DEC in Hive engine. Surprisingly, the market price of chaos cards are also seeing a significant decrease in prices and normal sale hasnt even started yet. A complete chaos collection with all max level cards will only cost you about $9632 in DEC as per the data from monstermarket.io cost estimator tool.

On top of that, the whole crypto market is facing a downtrend which is further affecting the price of all Splinterlands tokens as well.

Lastly, If you look at the current price of SPS AKA splintershards, The token is again moving towards its all-time low and currently being traded in Hive engine for $0.189 per SPS. I certainly believe in the future of SPS But till now, apart from getting vouchers, there is no solid use case Of SPS to attract the mass.

However, if you use to update yourself with the Splinterlands updates, you should note that the governance update and SPS node validator feature is coming soon and probably can take the price way above feom where it sits now.

Many people are eagerly waiting for the general sales to start in order to save the extra money they would have to spent on vouchers. so hopefully we can Experience a big moment in the upcoming days.
