Splinterlands Kervik | High Powered Sneaky Range Attacker

Hello my fellow Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another fresh and juicy Splinterlands post guys, and I hope all of you are doing absolutely great in your lives and enjoying another wonderful day with your family and friends. Now, if you are also playing Splinterlands regularly like me and enjoying the ranked battles, I hope your battles have been going smoothly in this ongoing season and that you are easily laddering up the trophy ladder while collecting all the possible rewards along the way. The current ranked season is now almost over, with only around 1 hour and 1 minute remaining before the season finally comes to an end. At this point, I have decided to stop playing for this season and will return tomorrow when the new ranked season begins. So, for everyone who is still pushing their trophies during these final moments, I wish you the very best and hope you finish the season exactly where you want to be.

Now, talking about my own progress in the Frontier mode, I am currently battling in the highest Gold I league with 3,880 trophies. Since the current season is almost finished, I have decided not to push any further today and will start playing again tomorrow after the new season begins. Looking at the weekly raffle progress, I currently have 39 raffle entries collected. There are around 2 days and 1 minute remaining before the raffle ends, and this time I am targeting around 54 entries. Hopefully, I will have enough time and Battle Energy during the next few days to reach that target.

Today's Frontier Daily Wheel was not particularly generous, as I received only 50 Sparks along with another 10 Sparks from my daily streak bonus. Anyways, today marks my 89th consecutive daily streak, so I am still happily maintaining the streak and collecting the additional reward bonus every day. After today's reward, my total Sparks balance has reached 1,156. After buying a monster card for 30k sparks, it is nice to start building the collection up again, I would say.

Apart from that, today I also opened 6 Foundation Packs that I earned from the last two days' rewards. The opening was fairly decent this time, as I managed to pull 7 Rare cards, including 3 Archons, while all of the remaining cards were Common cards. There were no Legendary or Epic cards this time, but getting three Archons from only six packs is still a pretty satisfying result.

Kervik
Now moving on to today's featured monster, let us take a closer look at another interesting monster from the newest Conclave Arcana Reward card set. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today we will be discussing Kervik. So, if you are interested in knowing more about this monster and its collection of useful abilities, then let's take a deep dive without any further ado.
The Kervik is a monster type card that was first seen in the game with the launch of the newest Conclave Arcana Reward card set. This monster belongs to the Earth element and comes from the Undead bloodline. It is a Common monster card, so players need a total of 400 CC cards to fully upgrade it to its maximum level. Kervik costs 9 mana to deploy and uses Ranged attacks, making it particularly useful as a backline attacker and suitable for medium to high mana limit matches. At maximum level, this monster possesses four different abilities - Sneak, Headwinds, Reveal, and Deflection Shroud. Kervik can simultaneously attack enemy backline units, weaken enemy ranged attackers, expose camouflage, and strengthen nearby allies with his abilities and let us now take a closer look at its stats and abilities across different leagues.

BRONZE
At Level 3, Kervik possesses 3 Ranged attack, 2 Speed, 1 Armor, and 6 Health. Even at its initial level, it already gains two abilities called Sneak and Headwinds, giving it both offensive and defensive utility from the beginning.

SNEAK – Targets the enemy unit in the last position.

HEADWINDS – Reduces the Ranged power of all enemy units by 1.
SILVER
At Level 5, Kervik improves to 4 Ranged attack while maintaining 2 Speed and increasing its Armor to 2 with 6 Health. Although it does not gain a new ability at this level, the additional attack power makes its Sneak attacks considerably more dangerous against enemy backline monsters.
GOLD
At Level 8, Kervik reaches 4 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, 2 Armor, and 7 Health. At this level, it unlocks another useful ability called Reveal, which gives it an excellent way to deal with enemy monsters relying on camouflage.

REVEAL – At the beginning of each round, applies Reveal to one Camouflaged enemy unit. Revealed units can then be targeted by direct attacks.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
At Level 10, Kervik reaches its maximum form with 4 Ranged attack, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, and 7 Health. At maximum level, it unlocks its final ability called Deflection Shroud, which provides additional protection to nearby allied monsters.

DEFLECTION SHROUD – At the start of battle, adjacent units gain Deflect.
I think Kervik is a very interesting monster, especially because it combines strong offence and heavy defence with its stats and support abilities. The first thing that catches my attention is its Ranged attack. Reaching 4 Ranged power at higher levels is already respectable for a 9-mana monster, and when that attack is combined with Sneak, Kervik becomes a serious threat to enemy backline units. This can be particularly useful against fragile ranged attackers, support monsters, or other backline units that are normally protected from direct attacks. The Headwinds ability adds another important layer to its usefulness. By reducing the Ranged power of every enemy monster by 1, Kervik can weaken an entire opposing lineup rather than simply focusing on one target. Then we have Reveal, which gives Kervik another very specific but valuable role. Camouflage can make certain monsters difficult or impossible to target with direct attacks, but Kervik's Reveal ability can expose one Camouflaged enemy unit at the beginning of each round. So, if you suspect your opponent is going to rely on camouflage, Kervik can become an excellent counter to that strategy. Finally, Deflection Shroud is another ability that can strengthen the overall lineup. At the beginning of battle, adjacent allied units receive Deflect, giving those monsters additional protection against enemy attacks. This means Kervik is not simply a Sneak attacker sitting quietly in the backline. Depending on its position, it can also contribute defensive value to the monsters around it.
Overall, I think Kervik is a very useful monster for players who enjoy combining offensive pressure with battlefield utility. Its high Ranged attack makes it dangerous against enemy backline monsters, while Headwinds provides an effective counter to Ranged-heavy teams. Reveal on the other hand, gives it another valuable purpose against Camouflage, and Deflection Shroud can strengthen nearby allies before the battle even begins. I think that combination of Sneak damage, team-wide debuffing, anti-Camouflage utility, and defensive support makes Kervik a card worth experimenting with in a variety of battles.

Kervik looks like a really strong card, especially for sneaky range attacks. Nice choice! 🔥

Exactly. This card is too powerful 🔥
Kervik definitely looks like a versatile card. I like how it can attack the backline while also weakening ranged teams. The Reveal ability is a nice bonus too. Definitely seems like a fun card to try in different battles.
Couldn't agree more! Really liked the overall stays and ability combo a lot ❤️
