Splinterlands | My season end rewards and achievement

What's up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying this special weekend with your loved ones or spending a lazy day at home after a work full week. Well, if you are a splinterlands player just like me and play this game on a regular basis, then you must have had a hectic time during these last couple of days because of the ranked season ending in splinterlands. Every ranked season lasts around 15 days and at the end of every season, the player count becomes the most active and everybody tries their best to win some more matches, reach their goal league or secure a position in the leaderboards of each league to get dec rewards. As a result of too many players playing at the same time and showcasing their skills, the whole game arena becomes a bloody battlefield where only the worthy ones get filtered out to reach their destination while many others get crushed down by the pressure. For me, I have been playing in the Champion League for a while now and as usual, this time also I was trying my best to secure a spot in the leaderboard and score some sweet dec’s for me. After fighting extensively for the last 4 days, I finally got myself laddered up into the top 10 place in Champ league and as though it was still 2 days left when I reached there, I didn't want to take any risk in it as one single lose would cost me to lose around 34 trophies while every win was only getting 3 or 4 trophies. So I immediately stopped playing and just kept an eye on the leaderboard to check frequently. Anyway, I got lucky at last to finally secure the position and though my ranking came down a bit from 6th to 20th, I managed to stay within the top 10 when the season finally ended and thus, I received an amazing leaderboard reward of 60k dec in my in-game wallet quickly after the new season start.

As the upcoming Rebellion card-set pre-sale is just around the corner, it has also affected the splinter economy like a typhoon and the results are pretty visible if we look at the current price of DEC. Before the Rebellion pre-sale announcement, the Dec was being traded for 0.68$ - 0.73$ per 1000 Dec but soon after the announcement aired, the dec price started rising rapidly as you can see from the graph that I shared from coinmarketcap and is currently being traded for 0.904$ per 1000 dec which is an amazing growth that we witnessed only within since last week time frame. I am really excited to see some pumping in splinterlands and hive eco-space and I am pretty sure it has soothed many of your hearts as well. The pre-sale event is occurring in less than 3 days' time by now and I am hopeful that Dec price still stays strong at least for the next 3 days if luck favors us all, we may also experience a legendary scene of DEC going back to its soft Pagged value of 1$ for 1000 Dec. While the whole crypto market is still trembling in this long running bear phase, will splinterlands be able to show us a ray of hope with this massive standalone growth, or it is start if a bull run we were waiting eagerly for a long time, only time will tell.

Anyways moving on, let me now share my seasonal rewards with you all. This season I collected a total of 77 season reward chests and all of those were Champion level chests. Though I didn’t perform very well throughout this season which has visibly affected my total chest count, but when I pulled those reward chests my mood turned into a happier state because of some great pulls I saw. As you can see from the screenshot above, from the pull I received a total of 1030.9 SPS and 1328 merits and hundreds of both legendary and alchemy potions but not a single Chaos Legion pack. But the soul-bound reward cards that I pulled from those season chests were looking better than average I would say. The best cards that I got from this season’s pull were 7 x Gold Foil Eternan Brune rare summoner cards and 10 goal foil common cards, 2 legendary Iziar cards, a total of 6 epic cards and all rest in rare and gold foil cards. I was really looking for some Iziar cards because right now my own Iziar is at level 3 and I needed only 5 more to make me a max level of this card and gladly, I have already found 2/5 of them today and only need 3 more to reach my goal.

After opening those shiny season chests, I went to the Brawl section because after witnessing the season reward pulls and lb reward, I also wanted to keep myself updated with my current merit count and I was surprised to see that I had already saved another 34,525 merits in spite of the fact that I recently opened a big bunch of gladius packs and spent all my merits to buy them. My current merit count is enough to buy me another 17 Gladius packs but I have decided to continue saving merits and only buy Gladius packs then I reach having at least 100k merits and then buy 50 packs and open them all at once to see if I can grab at least a good gold foil legendary or some epics! I have done it one time in the past and was overwhelmed me with the result as I got some good cards from the bulk opening. So, I will be trying one more time to open 50 packs at once to see if it does any magic trick again!
