Splinterlands - My season report and reward pulls

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope you all are enjoying life with your loved ones and also enjoying this game and building your asset collection over time. The 108th ranked season of splinterlands just ended some days ago and I hope all of you have claimed and opened your season rewards by now and already started grinding rewards in this ongoing 109th season. For me, this season was really great and I collected the most season reward chests ever in my career. Yes, I collected total 93 Champ level season chests which I will be showcasing below. But first, let me share my season report with you all.

I am playing this awesome NFT play2earn strategy game for over 4 years now and thou I started from the lowest Bronze league, I keep playing and not inly I keep re-investing my earnings from splinterlands, but also poured almost all my earning from posts and other areas into this game to come where where I stand now. To be honest, unlike most of the other crypto games there that I played, splinterlands offers a true game based on strategy and not any gamble or luck-based mechanism. In Here, not only you have to own a good collection of cards, but you also have to learn how to use every individual card rightfully so that you can outsmart your opponent. The best thing is, there are hundreds of card in this game so guessing the perfectly right lineup is very hard but that’s what make it even more interesting! I have been playing in modern format since the split and aggressively buying max level riftwatchers cards and also the remaining cards from Chaos legion set one by one since they got launched. Recently I completed collecting the whole chaos set but there’s still many rift cards that I am missing. But as I am adding more and kore cards in my playing collection, my performance is getting better and better and also the number of daily and season reward chests are slowly increasing.

With the new energy system update in the game, my performance got even better because the dominance of bots have been reduced drastically due to the new playing limit and I am getting more human players against me. As a result, while I used to collect only around 60 season chests before, this time I went berserk and reached near 100 seasons chests. Hopefully if I got able to own a complete set of modern format cards, I guess I can go even further and maybe even claim a good spot in the champ leaderboard one day, but that’s still a long way to cover. However, I am very happy with this season’s results and let’s now dive into the season stats without wasting anymore time.

This season I finished my playing at Champ II tier with 4289 trophies and I ranked 269th in the champ league. Thou while playing, I reached the highest 4470 trophies, but during the last 2 days I started losing hard against the OGs and the came down to champ II. Throughout the season, I played total 368 ranked matches and the win to lose ratio for this season has been improved drastically with 1.36 and the longest win streak that I achieved in this season is 10. But in order to achieve such great stats, I had to rent some very important cards, especially the Byzantine kitty summoner which I am missing in my account. Normally, I am not used to rent cards and just rely on my own cards but as I am upgrading my deck and playing in champ and against the top players, I realized the importance of some some particular cards from the untamed set that I am missing and this decided to start renting at least some them so that I don't get killed easily every time.

Not only that, these cards are helping me well in tournaments also and I am have also started earning decent chunk of SPS from tournaments too, which is covering my rent fees very well and helping me to achieve a positive ROI. As you can see from above, This season I earned around 538 SPS just from playing tourneys which indeed helped me to cover my renting fees and also to increase my staked SPS balance. Thou I am still missing many cards from the Chaos set, having a full chaos legion collection and these new rift cards are serving me pretty well to win battles even in the highest leagues and against top players as well.

Now, moving on to my rewards for this season, this was indeed a phenomenal season for me as I have collected highest number of chests but sadly, even in this season I didn't got my hand upon any gold foil legendries. Since the new soul bound reward cards got released, I am praying hard to get GFLs but till now, I haven't got any of them even after opening hundreds of chests. But I am not complaining as the reward outcome is totally random and not controlled manually by team. In this game, the higher league you play and open chests, the better chance to get good rewards from chests and with my personal experience, I can surely tell that on average, the rewards you get in diamond or champ will be better than the rewards ones get from playing in silver of gold tier. I also get gold foil or legendary / epic cards often from both focus and season rewards and till now, I gladly made a decent collection of these soul bound cards where most of the regular foil cards are already at silver level. But my luck is not shinning even once with those precious gold foil legendries. But anyways, I will stay positive and keep opening those chests and will keep wishing for my first GFL. However, looking at the rewards cards that I got in this season, I got myself total 583 regular foil and 27 gold foil cards among which, the best I got was a gold foil epic card NOA THE JUST and also a bunch of gold foil OCTAVIA summoner cards. As for SPS earnings, I collected total 346 SPS from daily focus chests and 191.899 SPS from season chests and as for battle rewards, I received total 682.285 SPS. I also was lucky enough to receive total 13 chaos packs from this season which was least expected from me. But anyways it was enough to sooth my pain of not getting a gfl.
