Splinterlands | SOLACE ASHINACH is the best Defensive monster

What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your family and friends and also waiting eagerly for the weekend to refill your energy. But for us splinterlands players, The next four days will be very intense because that’s what is left for us before the season end. For me, I am as usual playing in the modern Champions League and after battling so hard against the OG players in this game, I have somehow climbed up my way to the highest tier champion I today with a current trophy count of 4307. But sadly, I haven’t done well with my season chest count as so far, I have only collected 50 of them and having another four days left in my hand, I don’t think I will be earning more than 10 or 15 reward chests before the time ends. Now, looking at the daily focus mission today, I got the buffs ruleset as my focus mission and played for the day after collecting eight focus chests. Now, because of playing in the highest tier in the modern format, I am also losing more matches, which caused me to drain my energy Manna down to 18, so I will have to be more careful while playing till this season end. Meanwhile, I am also trying my best to stake as much SPS as possible into my wallet to get more SPS and reward points and re-investing all my SPS earnings from playing and staking back into the wallet, which is helping me to grow my wallet gradually over time. I wish I had enough money to buy SPS right now because the price looks intimidating, but all my focus is currently pointed to buying the newly launched Rebellion edition cards, because without them you can’t play in the modern format competitively now.

On the other hand, the new Conflict airdrop mechanism from the splinterlands seems to be working very well as thousands of players are buying Rebellion packs or cards and staking them in the conflict page in order to get those AirDrop cards in their accounts. As you can see from the screenshot above, only around 12 days and 10 hours left for the first AirDrop card named Rage to be unlocked and distributed among the stakers depending on their chances owned. Looking at my own progress, I have been able to collect only 277 chances so far and if you have read the rules, you already know that there is only one guaranteed chance to get a card for every two hundred chances. So, right now I will get only one card and luckily if I cross 400 chances before the AirDrop, I will get another one. I am also trying my level best to buy more and more Rebellion cards and staking them in wagons, but Because of the high demand and less supply, there are only a handful of Rebel cards being listed in the card market and of course, all of them are listed with high price making me unable to purchase more. But, I would like to thank the splinterlands team for coming out with this unique idea for airdropping the cards, because not only it is providing high-value to Rebellion packs and cards, but also provides fair chances to those who actually play the game and hold onto their assets for the long term, be it the packs or the cards. Anyway, I will keep working on my conflict growth and let’s see if I can buy any more cards before the first AirDrop monster drops.

Now, allow me to come to the main topic in this post because today, I will be showcasing another amazing rebellion card with you all and as you have already seen it in the thumbnail, today I will be talking about the SOLACE ASHINACH monster. So, without any further delay, let us begin..

SOLACE ASHINACH

SOLACE ASHINACH is a legendary type card that needs a total of 11 BCX to be upgraded to max level and this card belongs to the dragon element. This card only costs 4 Manna to be used in battles, which means you can easily use this monster in small to medium Manna limit matches and also can use it in matches with little leagues ruleset. The attack type of this monster is Melee and though even at max level, this monster possesses only 1 melee attack, but its other stats and ability combo Make it a unique and very usable monster on the battlefield. Now, let us take a deeper look into this monster’s stats and abilities league-wise below.

Bronze

At level one, this monster possesses one Melee attack at one speed with one armour and seven health and it also gets its first ability - Return fire from its initial level. With the return fire ability, this monster will damage back whenever Hit by an enemy range monster. So, using this match against range attackers will be very beneficial.

Silver

When you upgrade this monster to level two, this monster gets 1 melee attack at two speed with one armour and 8 health and it also gets another new ability, magic reflect. With this new ability, now this monster can damage back whenever getting hit by enemy magic monsters. So, now you have a monster that can damage back automatically whenever getting attacked by Melee Range or magic monster, which clearly makes it a very defensive card against those 2 types of attackers.

Gold

When this monster gets upgraded further to the next level three, it gets 1 melee attack at two speed with one armour and nine health and it also gets another ability reflection shield. With the help of the reflection shield ability, It will now stay protected from in any damage coming from Thorns, Magic reflect, Blast or Return fire.

Diamond / Champion

When you upgrade this monster to its final level four, this card gets 1 melee attack at three speed with one armour and ten health and it also gets another ability called redemption. With this new ability, Whenever this monster dies, it will give 1 damage to all the enemy monsters.

Battle stat

It was apparently a large 39 mana limit match this time, where only two elements where allowed - water and dragon. There were three match rulesets applied in this match - little leagues (only monsters and summoners that cost four Manna or less may be used in this battle), healed out (all healing abilities are removed from monsters and summoners) and broken Arrow (ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles) and one of them was little league, which certainly will not allow us to use any card which cost over four Manna. So clearly, it would be a match with small monsters and I also choose my lineup accordingly.

In this match, I chose the Dragon legendary Summoner Quix the devious and also chose Solace as my front defence followed by Runeseer Sevaya, Dhampir infiltrator, Pelacor bandit, Uraeus and Clockwork Aide at the end position of my lineup. As the match got revealed, I find out that my opponent has used the Dragon Summoner Stishpa and he also chose the Solace monster as his front defence followed by Tide biter, Runeseer Sevaya, Dhampir Infiltrator, Vruz and Doctor Blight at his end position.

As the match began, my sneak monsters attacked the backline monster Vruz back to back and killed down the first in the very first round, but that gave the Vruz’s adjacent monsters with extra stats and made them more powerful. My Solace also took attacks from the enemy Solace, Blight and Tide Biter but stood strong with 6 health and also damaged back the enemy Blight with its Magic Reflect ability.

In the next round, I easily killed the enemy Dhampir and Runeseer and also damaged the Tide Biter with the help of my 3 sneak monsters. My Runeseer then applied cleanse to remove the poison and then repaired back 2 armour in my Solace, which then helped the solace to defend the enemy Melee attacks. But sadly, with the magic blow from enemy Blight, my Solace died in the battlefield. But before dying, he again damaged the blight with its magic reflect and then damaged all the 3 enemy monsters again with its Redemption ability, which wounded the blight’s health down to 2.

In the next round, my sneak attackers again fight back even harder and killed down the enemy Runeseer and wounded Solace who got died by poison at the start of next round. By then, the inly enemy monster alive was the poor Blight and my attacker took good care of it easily and thus, I won another great match and earned my self some SPS and reward points.

As you can clearly see in this match, the Solace is a powerful defensive monster that works great against Range and Magic monsters and it also damages them with redemption upon dying. Not to mention that its Reflection Shield will also help you by protecting itself against blasts, magic reflect, return fire or thorns. So overall, I think it's a great choice and a worthy card to be used in small to medium mana matches without any hesitation.
