Splinterlands | The BALLISTA DEADSHOT is a Heavy Magic Shooter from Escalation

Hi there Splinterlands Warriors,
Welcome back to another fresh and juicy Splinterlands post, and I hope you all are doing pretty well in your lives and enjoying a great and energetic day with your family and friends. For those of you who have fallen in love with splinterlands and are actively playing this web3 card-based strategy NFT game on a daily basis and focusing on growing your asset collection, I guess all of you are currently keeping yourselves busy grinding in the ranked season battles and trying your level best to push your trophy count higher until you reach your designated goal. Now, if we take a look at the ongoing ranked season timer, there are still around 9 days and 19 hours left before this ongoing ranked season meets its end. So there is still plenty of time in our hands to climb up the trophy ladder, secure our goals - whether it is to enter a particular league tier and enjoy earning those reward chests or aim for the prestigious top champion leaderboard spots. Just make sure to keep an eye and maintain a good battle energy balance throughout the season, so that you can maximise your rewards.

Now, taking a look at my own progress in the frontier mode in this game, I am currently playing in the highest Gold I league tier with a trophy count of around 3,340. As usual, my goal remains the same, which is to reach the 4,000 trophy mark first and then try pushing it further toward the leaderboard. There is still enough time left, so I will continue pushing and shoving steadily and let's see how it goes.

On the other hand, if we take a look at the weekly Frontier raffle, I have already collected a total of 54 entries this time gladly and with around 20 hours left before the raffle draw, I might try to push for 3 to 6 more entries if possible, but with low battle energy remaining, it is going to be a bit difficult. Also, today I completed all 3 daily missions and managed to earn 3 foundation packs along with 9 raffle entries. From those 3 packs, I pulled 1 gold foil common, 1 regular foil epic, 4 rare cards, and the rest were common cards, which is quite a decent outcome overall. I always try to win all 3 foundation packs allocated as rewards every day because I can just miss the thrill to open them and try my luck once again.

Ballista Deadshot
Now moving forward, let us come to the main topic of this post, as today I will be taking a closer look at one of the newest monsters from the Escalation mini edition. As you have already seen in the title and thumbnail above, today I will be talking about the Ballista Deadshot. So if you are interested in learning more about this monster card, let us dive deeper without any further delay.
The Ballista Deadshot is a monster-type card that was introduced in the game with the newest Escalation mini edition card set. This monster belongs to the Fire element and it comes from the Orc bloodline. By rarity, this card is a Common monster, so you will require a total of 400 CC cards in order to upgrade it to its maximum level. Now, if you want to use this monster in battles, you need to spend a massive 13 mana, which makes it suitable mainly for high mana limit matches. The attack type of this monster is Magic, and it comes with a very high attack power combined with a strong defensive stat and high speed as well, making it both offensive and durable. At its maximum level, this monster gains a total of three abilities, which I will explain later in this post. Let us now take a closer look at its league-wise stats and abilities to find out more about this monster.

BRONZE
At level 3, this monster already holds very strong stats that consist of 5 magic attack power at 2 speed with 3 armor and 4 health. Apart from these powerful stats, it also gains abilities from the early levels. It gets Scattershot from level 1 and Dispel from level 3. This combination allows it to deal unpredictable damage while also removing enemy buffs.

SCATTERSHOT – Magic and ranged attacks target a random enemy unit.

DISPEL – Removes magic buffs after a successful attack.
SILVER
When you upgrade this monster further to level 5, its stats improve and it now holds 5 magic attack power at 3 speed with 4 armor and 5 health. Even though it does not unlock any new abilities at this level, the increased speed, health and armour make it more durable and effective in battles.
GOLD
As this monster gets upgraded further and reaches level 8, its stats improve again and it now carries 5 magic attack power at 4 speed with 5 armor and 7 health. The improved speed and defensive stats make it even harder to take down while it continues the mayhem single-handedly.
DIAMOND / CHAMPION
Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its maximum level of 10, its stats become even more impressive and it now holds 5 magic attack power at 5 speed with 5 armor and 9 health. At this level, it also gains a brand new ability called Pinpoint. This is a very unique ability that can greatly support Sneak-based strategies in your lineup.

PINPOINT – Allied Sneak attacks cannot miss.
Last but not least, I think this monster can be extremely useful in high mana battles. First of all, it comes with a very high magic attack power, which allows it to take down low to medium health enemies very quickly. Another strong point is its new Pinpoint ability, which makes it a great companion for Sneak attackers, ensuring their attacks never miss. On top of that, the Dispel ability helps remove enemy buffs, which can be very useful in many situations. Apart from its offensive strength, this monster also comes with a solid combination of armor and health, along with high speed, which is quite rare for a magic attacker. Overall, I think the Ballista Deadshot is a powerful and well-balanced monster that can perform very well in the right lineup. What do you think?
I hope you enjoyed reading my post about BALLISTA DEADSHOT. Let me know your thoughts about today's post in the comments section below, and I look forward to seeing you all in my next post.

The only card that I have out of escalation for now. Works SO great with Lorkus! And the Doomblade. Having that amount of Damage, and it can't miss? Love it!
Seriously, the 13 mana cost is totally justified for this card. A deadly beast.
